That amount of bricks can’t be cheap, I’ve been collecting for years and I don’t have anything close to this
My advice is to be creative with what you got
@@nerdpocketcards of course. I can make small creations with diverse parts just fine, but I’ve dreamt of being able to create something at such a scale for so long. Someday...
@@colemanbubar5098 i feel ya
Yeah legos are sadly getting more expensive. I stopped getting them because of that.
Just don´t buy lego bricks, but other ones ;)
We need people like this because they give us joy just because we get to see things we wouldn’t normally be able to do. Thank you Lion
ok

I hope you enjoyed the video! Don’t forget to check out the description for some awesome links and info!
Enjoy the video? This is part of a full series and you can check out the latest episodes on my channel!
Thank you for 1M views! This my second video to reach that milestone!
Where do you buy your bricks of like do you buy them individually off the LEGO site or do you buy packs ?
@@alexrabenou2688 bricklink.com
So do you just have hundreds of buckets filled with 10s of thousands of bricks? How do you organize them all? Do you find you’re modifying what you want to make based on what you have?
Will you build vehicles and minifigures or will it just be the empty buildings, roads and train tracks?
@@K3b1bisLtu it will include all the details such as vehicles, figs, road signs, lamps, crossing lights, traffic lights, monorail and so on

I can't wait for the next one!
This guy's narrating is really good, I could see him branching into other forms of content. Probs gonna grow really big.
You always give me a lot of inspiration, and you always make me wanna go and build something.
Me too
Not sure why the algorithm gods brought me here, but a sacrificial goat is coming their way. +1 sub from me.
The algorithm gods these days are blessing us with relaxing and enjoyable videos these days 😌✨
Oh yes, a new city with planned roads going diagonally... can't wait to see how you are going to do this. I enjoyed the video, looking forward to the next
I was amazed with just the sloped road so I'm just gonna be mind blown
Wonderful! I really love the tiny details like pot holes, drains, and rail spike bits that make the scape look so much more realistic.
I had such a large lego collection when I was younger, and I was so upset when I was made to get rid of it because we didn’t have room for it. The anger just gets greater and greater as I get older because I have never lost my love for those blocks
with such an elevated road, it was possible to make a barrier-free crossing over the rails
Pushing down a 2x2 flat tile is very satisfying

This is going to be absolutely incredible Lionel ,can’t wait for the next updates Love the drawing of how you want it to look like ,. I think it looks really good so far , keep up the good work Lionel , you always inspire me

I remember watching this when it first came out and got bored very quickly but now it feels nostalgic to come back
I remember a few years ago, there was a RUclipsr who did a series called Constructing Los Dangeles, that was the last series I really cared about. I'm very excited to see where this goes!
I am also very excited!
yeah I miss dan lags he really just disappeared
This was a really fantastic update and a tremendous looking start to the newest version of your city.
Wow
I like the "abandoned" touch of the road, it adds some mysteries.
This is why I want to become a RUclipsr. You (pretty much) have your own schedule, you're your own boss, and your job is doing whatever you want, and all you have to do is show it to random people.
Yes, I know being a RUclipsr has many downsides. Don't hate on me in the comments
I like the sweet shop next to the train tracks, so if they run out of jelly babies we know where to stand
lol
Lionbricks: *builds a sloped road*
Me: wait.. that's illegal
Your mini layout shows how smart Lego is designed. 5 bricks are as high (ignoring the studs) as 6 bricks are wide. Divided by 3, 5 plates are as high (again, ignoring the studs) as 2 bricks are wide. A brick resting sideways on the studs of the baseplate is as high as a bricks standing upright on the baseplate (you guessed it, ignoring the studs).
You can tel I am a Lego Technic guy.
This is what I like, a smaller city that is manageable but with greater detail because of it's smaller size.
I had a lego city when I was a kid at my grandparents house it had its own table and everything just for it. But one day my sister let two kids she was babysitting come over and play with it and they took everything apart and destroyed the whole city. I was so devastated I never had the will power to try and put it back together plus alot of the parts were missing and so were the instructions.
ever heard of adoption hehe
:(
I feel you. That's why I don't let my sister in my room.
Wow, this gonna be amazing!
So have you decided to start all over again leaving the attic?
I loved so much the old train track going accross the wall, I’ll miss it 😢
Yes, I'm so excited!!!
Idea of flexible road like that is genius.
Wow, almost 50k subs! I've been here since before the 15k!
Edit: over 100k now, this is incredible!
You do very cool tinks ...you are a legend...pleas build a episode 2 and 3 .
Great to see that you`re always improving your cities and I can`t wait to see your buildings and how theywill be shaped!
Awesome video Lion! I am so glad you are showing the actual building process step by step. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
I'm curious to see how he'll do that curve in the road
Me too!
The bricks are sideways so maybe just the curved wedges ?
That's a great project, I love the SNOT roads and the elevation changes. We don't see them that often. Great video also, the editing is on point.
Do you plan on making the layout modular (divisible into sub sections) ?
That would make the transport and display at exhibitions much easier, and need to be thought before starting building.
Totally looking forward to this series!!
a creative way to create roads and little details in the roads for a lego city!
"We will watch your career grow with great intrest"
looking good lionel😊🙂 Love how the city is turning out, hope to see more lego city videos in the future

I've been a LEGO fan since I was 7, I'm blown away by the scale of your project. This is amazing. ❤️🤯👏👏👏
Make when the city himself is done, the story just lego people doing stuff. Would be great👏
Nice video Lion!!
That is an excellent technique to make the roads raised - and they look so good. And overall so many great tips in this video- thank you for posting.
Finally something REALLy GOOD to watch! Keep it up!
me, seeing this video on my recommended: oh huh that looks cool, I might scrub through that and see how it looks.
me 12 minutes later: ...ok I'm gonna watch every video he makes all the way through.
All custom city huh? What about the modular buildings you had?
they will likely be modified into the spaces
@@LionBricks oh, that’s neat.
@@LionBricks that will be interesting Lionel
Love the content couldn't wait for the next Episode!
Very impressive. You’re obviously pretty creative. Thanks for sharing your process and look forward to seeing it finished! I’m beginning to consider doing my own Lego city more and more. Currently concentrating on getting all the modular buildings in my collection for now and then will see.
Here we go again
:P this one is likely going to be a ongoing project no worries haha
@@LionBricks just kidding, sometimes it's better to take a step back and try something new. The new plan for the city looks great, I'm very excited. Good luck with the project.
So there will not be a full train loop? Just a section of straight track
Yep
Yes, loops are entertaining but very unrealistic
Looks great either way though👍
