Nereida Dienel omg this made me laughhh 😂 the whole time I was filming I was thinking to myself like “I don’t think anyone’s watching the whole thing through but I’ll just keep going” omg this made me so happy!!!
As a newbie plant mom, I appreciate videos like these. It was very informative and helpful as I have a few of the plants you mentioned. Sharing the knowledge is really helpful for those who are trying to learn as much as they can in hopes to growing a green thumb. Thanks for these awesome tips and hope to see more videos like these again.😊
Awesome, I love Lowe's. I grabbed 3 aglaonema's, one big pot of 3 yucca canes, and a rosemary bush, today. Got back around 4pm EST. Great beginner's video. It takes me back to the day's when you first started your RUclips channel. Have a fantastic Friday and wonderful weekend! #ErikaLodes
Wow they are some good hardy plants and some divas but that's what we love about plants is they have their own characteristics and own beauty! :) Thanks for sharing Erika.
They even had a pitcher plant for $19.98. What great finds at that Lowes!!! And I love the cute little pumpkin planters. Wish my Lowes would have got those in. I did get the little tillansia with lights and pumpkin for only $1.00 at one of my Oklahoma Lowes.
That Black Bean plant is all kinds of funky. With Croton's they are also highly toxic to pets and I have heard they are much like a Ficus in that if you move them they will drop leaves. I've only had luck with mine cause I keep it near a humidifier it loves it. In the time I put it into a cart and brought it home it did drop 3 leaves and it was fresh at the store I bought it as they were unboxing them. But I put it in the right light and gave it humidity and the little guy went nuts this summer and is twice the size now. I do have kitty's so I keep it way up high to keep the fur-ids safe.
I got by Brazil and look at Lowe’s they only had the white but I got it so I was happy to get it so they do sell them once in while at the box stores just have to hit the right time to get my
I found a little philodendron scandens at Walmart for $3. I adore pothos type plants, even though they're pretty much a level 1 plant. I just think they're so beautiful.
Great information for beginners 👍👍 I am not a beginner yet my maidenhair ferns always end up looking like that so I finally gave up on them. Too bad, they are beautiful when healthy, but too dramatic 🙄🙄 I was very happy yesterday, I found three more peperomia for my collection
Lol when you said you don’t recommend Ivy!!! I don’t do ivy anymore, mine became infested with spidermites seemingly overnight, it was a nightmare! I just threw the whole plant out and baked the soil so I could reuse it
The "Snake Plant" In Australia, we call them "Mother in-law Tongues" they grow like weeds in some areas. Actually after some research the Scientific name is Dracaena trifasciata, according to Wikipedia, soooo whatever, 'love your work'.
I had a kalanchoe (I don’t know how to spell that) that I propagated and when I potted it I watered it and it just never dried out and the plant rotted away 😕 definitely let those dry out
Hi ! Very good video thanks !!😊 It's amazing To see all the different plants avaliable in this store !! I live in france and even in garden centers we don't have as much choice 😂 i want To live in USA !!
15 dollars for a plant that is so easy to keep and to make more plants off...i dont understand some stores that overprice everything..sweet video. Cool to see american store when u live in the EU.
I literally feel so bad saying this, but before I got into the house plants I had a snake plant and I didn’t give it water or anything including light for 7 months and it literally grew so much roots 😭❤️ so yes they are very hearty, but I don’t recommend anyone neglect their plant like I did. But when I got it repotted into a new plant that’s when I became obsessed with houseplants!! Haha
Jenae Macias lmao that’s me w some of my snake plants now rip 🤪 that’s why we love a good snake plant lol 🥰 it led to your obsession & that’s what counts hehehe
Erika Lodes yess haha now I have 23 plants 🤦🏻♀️😂 and my obsession started only 3 months ago 🤪 my I repotted my snake plant and now he’s an old man living his best live in an 8 inch pot now!!
Lowe’s and Home Depot has a lot nowadays of these plants 10 months to tell Miles the 20th year I just work one I bought two curly spiders from Home Depot and Lowe’s
I got my first ZZ Plant the other day for 5$! 😄 I put it in a relatively low light place in my bedroom because they're good in those conditions and I'm really happy with her! 💓 p.s.: I've killed a Croton 😅 and two spider plants that were offered to me (I don't know why honestly the spider plants just never seemed to adjust to being inside at my home 😧) and I've been dreaming of getting an African Mask plant cause they're so beautiful but I'm scared! 😤
Erika Lodes Hmmm. Had a bridal veil in the 60s. And it was a sentimental favorite of mine. Maybe I'll see if I can locate one to have again. Will check out the cissus. Thanks again.🙂
Here in zone seven of north carolina we grow the beautiful algerian ivy. Its really a subtropical but griws great here in zone 7. Check it our. Also the varigated form is reall good here.
I love my Lowes sales corner for my Orchids I have I’ve hit the jackpot at Lowe’s I’ve dendrobiums, Oncidiums ! One Miltoniopsis agrees trinity my absolute favorite it had a bloom burst but never mind for some reason unbeknownst to this amateur it’s ten looming on that same spike I’m totally freaked I didn’t know that occurred! Or is this a unique occurrence I’ve tried finding out but no answers o love it in any case. It’s had full pseudo bulbs since I purchased it for 8 dollars in blossom when I purchased in ceramic pots and plastic container inside pretty pot oh I’m so happy with all my purchase from Lowes I found a double moth phal that had finished blooming an I put my kekis paste on in no time I have new baby kekis with a huge ceramic pot also 8 dollars and the plants were all clean Ed by me and put back in cleaned media I’ve started using moss around my roots an scattered in with bark and lava rock or whatever rock I have on hand . So everyone please don’t underestimate Lowes as possible favorites sitting in a sale corner amongst all kinds of orchids the plants they feel must go because of them ending blooming or a broke bloom spike things like that always tons of different things so happy gardening every one!
Hi! I really like how you take your time with each plant. Also thanks for passing along more info about commercial soil. I wish I knew more about soil when I first got into plants in my teens (20 years ago 😳😂). I killed a lot of my green friends. So I mix mine similarly to you. I have not had any problems with ivy. I do t know why most people hate on them? I put them in a decorative plastic pot with no drainage hole. (I know against most people). I mixed about 75% pearlite, 10% regular potting soil, 5% orchid bark. I water them like a snake or zz. Like almost never and they thrive.
I put an asparagus fern in a fishbowl terrarium hanging in my bathroom and it’s so happy! I barely water it but whenever someone showed its collects water from the air. Only way I can keep a fern alive
I kill all the ivy. I like them a lot. They are worst than calathea. I don't even feel bad when they die... they just always die, lol. My Lowe's are dried up. I'm just focused on my Amaryllis and African Violets til spring. I give up. I've had almost everything you've film today.
All Miracle Grow is the same (even the specialty mixes like cactus, african violet, ect.) If you read the label ingredients and compare bags it is nothing but peat with varying degrees of perlite or moisture retaining additives or pieces of bark. It's all just peat. That is why mixing ones own soil is so much better for plants because it can actually be personalized to the type of plant, which is what MG claims to do but doesn't. (I am not aware of ANY cactus (or Palm) that grows naturally in peat or in any mix that retains so much moisture and is so rich in nutrients. Peat is an acidic, WETLAND BOG product.) NEVER trust large companies sales hype: always read and compare labels on any product you buy.
Erika, the plants DO NOT have spray paint on them, spray paint is oil based, these plants have a water based colorant on them, get your facts straight.
@@ErikaLodes Everyone thinks that this is oil based paint, it is more of a water color..contact Costa Nurseries and have a conversation with them, i'm sure they will talk to you since you are a RUclipsr.

@Daniel Lance Try Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Jacob Bentley yup, I have been watching on flixzone for since april myself :)
Making me excited to go back to Lowes today. Last time we got $400 worth of plants for $100. No sales- Awesome worker marked everything down.
My Lowe’s has about 1/4 of this and I’m so incredibly jealous!😭
This was extremely helpful.. and you are SO precious. Thank you 🥺

Lowe s needs to carry more hardy succulents and palms gere in zone 7. Of north carolina.
Ivy draw bugs to, a lot.☹️
