when u said calatheas are hard to care for i went 😧 im surprised! i’m no plant master and i’ve got about 10 of them, i’ve had no trouble! no humidifiers or anything i’ve got pebble trays under two of them and i water them with filtered water they love it!!
Erika Martinez I just used plastic terra cotta plant saucers and added a layer of pebbles! I like using the colored ones because you can’t even tell that there’s rocks under it. It’s very simple and seems to be doing to trick!!
You made me curious so I went a googling to track down this comment you referenced...which sounds totally stalkerish now that I'm reading this...but find it I did! And agree with you more than just a thumbs up on your comment would signify.
Thanks for the help! I’m trying to find a plant for my mom for her birthday! And she’s really good at taking care of her plants that she has but I wanted to get her something new but I didn’t want to get her one that is super hard to take care of 😧 lol I don’t know much about plants 🌱 but I took your advice and wrote everything down that you suggested! Ty 👍
Yes, some plants dont do well indoors. So I put most of my houseplants ( ivy, spider plants, fiddle, boston fern, rubber tree, pothos) outdoors with some shade. Zone 10🤗. They grow like crazy and taking over my yard😋. I have to keep up on pruning and discarding some🤣
OMG! You completely left the peace lily off the time index! I only noticed cause I wound up having to restart the video...I got sidetracked viewing the comments. And only point it out cause I'm in a yappy mood today. I believe that first philodendron is either the "assorted" or the "houseplant" variety, it's tricky telling the difference. Everything there is half the price it is here...My Lowes has fiddle leaf figs that size for $100.
I stopped buying plants from big box stores, always end up being root roots when go home or unhappy from being neglected for too long. I now buy from local nursery or at farmer market, better cared for plants plus support local and small businesses.
I wish my Lowes had a nice indoor garden center. They just have a few sad plants lately. I was able to snag a nice lipstick gracilis once (it was overwatered I later discovered and still trying to save it).
great video I really needed this plant tour. There were some awesome desert rose they looked really healthy. Do lowes have a lot of unhappy plants? Because there was a few, I really can't stand the glued rocks on plants they usually don't survive. Great video and have a good one.
Great video. I got a Marble Queen Pothos at my Lowe's & it turns out that I have two different plants in one pot. I have green on one side and Marble Queen on the other side. I have always wanted a Spider Plant but my Lowe's has not had them lately. I may have to go and check it out soon. Love your channel.
Hi! I love calatheas but they can be a struggle. Probably not good for a beginner plant person..but... one of my first plants was a calathea orbifolia. Go figure! Thanks for the great video
Woahhh! Those monsteras were expensive. I legit just got a 15inch monstera at my local lowes for $15, there was another monstera that had other plants with it that cost $40. Im surprise they’re that much at your lowe’s. Also my Pothos is not doing so good, how is it that my other plants are doing so well but my pothos is half dead 😭😭
Maybe I'm just lucky to live close to a great nursery but a lot of the prices at this Lowe's seem on the expensive side. At my local Armstrong in Southern California most things are about 30% cheaper or so from the prices listed here. Either way, thanks for the video! I've picked up caring for houseplants during quarantine and now I'm completely obsessed.
I buy from big box store, local greenhouses, Amazon, and also Etsy. I’ve spent the most on Etsy and they have all been the smallest plants/cuttings. People overcharge on there
Very helpful video. Why do crotons get a bad rap? 🤣🤣. I have a fiddle leaf fig - oh yeah, HAD to have one......our relationship hasn’t been an easy one. Finally got two new leaves after a year 😩
I love my crotons!!! I live in the PNW and mine are happy as can be! I just put a pot together for my desk at work since they are so low maintenance for me... they add so much color
Wow I have a croton, belle palm and majestic palm. You say they get spider mites I definitely don’t want these type of plants anymore. I do spray with neem oil 😩
Just a question... I have a few plants from Lowe's that have this wick coming out of the bottom. Should i be removing that when i bring it home? or is this how i should be watering it? thanks so much! i love your channel
Just picked up my first baby monstera deliciosa, any quick tips, wanted to start with a baby, but I heard you comment that if it's your first one, go with a big one, what is the difference, please help 😉
Not only do we have very few Lowes and Home Depots here in NYC, but the ones that are here have the WACKEST garden centers everrrr!!! I've been on the HUNT for a wide form Andonsonii, but the plant "shops" over price them, I want one from a big box store like what you just picked up! lol
I bought a spider plant and snake plant and within the month the spider plant withered and died and my snake plant had a swollen leaf and two super dried leaves from the same plant ☠️☠️☠️ this was a year ago but I decided to give plants another try and now I'm growing a ton of succulents, I have a lucky bamboo that I revived after sitting abandoned on a shelf for half a year, I have a golden pothos and a common Coleus... So far I'm doing okay😅😅

Question, where did you get the pebble trays from? My Caladium may need it and eventually when I get Calatheas 🙃

You are the chosen one
Wow, you’ve definitely got a green thumb, because yes, They are hard.
I learn the most from your videos!
Saw your comment in Bretman’s vlog! You are amazing!

I really loved this video it really helps what to look for when we go to box stores
Spider plants love bright light and can take direct bright, they produce pups in bright, I have about 6 in 8 inch pots

I’m at Lowe’s right now and am purchasing a similar 8” Marble Queen pothos. I think it looks cool, different from a regular Marble Queen
That’s a fun little flair haha! I hope you can find a spider plant soon 😇
I have your notification bell on so we can continue our friendship.
I totally agree about anthuriums, but I’m definitely more of a foliage kind of girl! 😅

B.R. V. Omg yes I recently repotted it. I watch her too, I’ll go check it out, thanks
The key to Fiddle leaf fig is bright light if not they will drop leaves

I wish my local lowes, were as good as this one!
What day of the week did you go?
I bought a Philodendron and its like that too, what will I do?
I just got an 8” Syngonium Albo at Lowe’s Mid City for $24.99
Which Lowe’s is that
Not only do we have very few Lowes and Home Depots here in NYC, but the ones that are here have the WACKEST garden centers everrrr!!! I've been on the HUNT for a wide form Andonsonii, but the plant "shops" over price them, I want one from a big box store like what you just picked up! lol
Went to Lowe’s yesterday they had dozens of the vining Monstera, sadly they were all in to bad of condition. 😕
It’s soo sad whenever that happens 😪

I really like this style of video. I'm sad that I'm homebound due to foot surgery and it seems like stores are getting good things in stock.
all the plants look so sad...... everything should go to clearance shelves 😂
The foot on the rabbits foot ferns creep me out. I hate them 😂
They are weird eh.
Oriana Funkhouser Oh gee !!... I'm like PLANTERINA I love Them but thats so good we have such great variety... Appreciate our differences....Thanks
Ya they are the creepiest 🤥
U are my Favorite Shopper....Plus I would give you the Best Grade Possible .
