What speakers should I use for my truck any recommendations?

6x9's are a perfect fit. But you want a 3 way speaker so that you get high's mids and lows. It just depends on what quality you want and how much you want to spend. These are $20 a pair Boss Audio Extreme Chaos 6x9s. They take a little while to break in so don't expect perfect sound the first day, but within a week you can crank them up to very uncomfortable levels. For the money, I have been really pleased. If I was to do it again, I would probably get these: a.co/jcHKVLt

The 6×9's fit the door? Someone told me they need to be the 5×7's.

Definately 6x9's in a 1998 and any others that use the same body style.

i don't own a 98, but there are other years listed here that i do own. exact fit replacements are 5X7 (always have double holes) or 6X8 (perfect).
