very nice guide, bro! it would be nice if you would show comparison between before and after the tweaks, i mean in original format and then with enchanced resolution. that would be great :D
Threaded Rendering adds a lot of input lag, unfortunately. If you PC has the extra power to emulate at full speed without it, you should disable it and enjoy a much more responsive experience.
I've tried it both on and off on my own PC, but don't notice a difference. But it's still good to know, especially if helps others get better emulation and input performance on their systems. Thanks for sharing!
I use retroarch on my steamdeck mostly but I just got the abneric rg35xx plus, stumbled upon this video because Im trying to get the best retroarch settings for dreamcast for that little device. most games run fine so far but shenmue II is a little crackly with audio and slow here and there but it's so close! Im hoping I can figure out some tweaks because it's almost there. I'm hoping once some more custom firmwares come out maybe someone will figure it out!
Thank you for your videos!!! You have the perfect voice and patience to explain everything!!! Could you please explain about IA Service on RA and automatic service (transalation)? Keep up with the good work!!!
Thanks very much for the encouraging and kind words! I wasn't aware of the feature you mentioned but I just looked into it and it sounds pretty amazing! I will do some more research and see if I can get working and try to do a video. Thank you!
I figured out the widescreen format easily, and now it is displayed correctly. Now I'm trying to understand how to use HD textures. I need to know the game id, but where can I watch it? And how to play Virtua Tennis online? The game menu itself does not offer this option.
And yet, the picture is not full screen. I have a 40" TV, apparently you need to download the Flycast emulator separately and set the proportions there.
How to set it correctly so that the game is full screen in RetroArch in the Flycast emulator? I enabled Widescreen Hack, but my game has dark bars on the sides? Initially, the picture was generally small. Resolution set to 1440 by 1080
The latest version of RetroArch is 1.16.0, so first try upgrading to that if you're not already there. And unfortunately, some OS's don't support Vulkan regardless of the RetroArch version. In that case you can still use gl as the video driver, but might run into performance issues if you try to use the mega bezel shaders.

That's a good suggestion and I will try to include that in future videos. Thanks for the feedback :)

Shenmue was my childhood

Thanks! Is Sega dreamcast core(Flycast) available on the ipad? I can't find this core on iPad....😂

Each video you've said to switch to Vulkan....However, that options completely missing? How do I manually fix this?

Thanks. Would you know what could cause Alone in the Dark dreamcast in game cutscene blurriness?
Got Dreamcast on my arcade it's awesome
This for iphone or just laptop
🤔 i tired flycast but is not good, for example, in 18 wheeler is unaccurate, speeded up
I think maybe it's a setting? 18 Wheeler runs really well on Flycast for me. Do other games run okay for you in Flycast?
What a totally fake thumbnail, on the left side example, the dreamcast is NEVER blocky like that, that looks like a GBA
