i know it's kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online?
For some context, Newt Scamander is THE Newt Scamander who wrote the main Care of Magical Creatures textbooks they use at Hogwarts during the Harry Potter series. He was a pioneer in the field from what I understand, hence most people being unfamiliar or skeptical of him and his work at this time.

@@NewfieMovieReactions I liked Newt as a leading man. If you noticed the fist time he opens his case, he had a hufflepuff scarf. Hufflepuff house has a reputation of being oddballs and underperformers. Newt isn't a chosen one, he is just an average dude who does great things by sticking to his values.
Plus he's a Hufflepuff 💛💛

People often compare the Movies "Fantastic Beasts" to "Harry Potter", but the films are different, but also special in their own way 💜💜💜

@@ImAmirus Just because it’s “adult stuff” doesn’t mean a movie is good.
If you apparate (teleport) while someone is touching you, they go with you for the ride- and they can both apparate, so it would just be this odd tug of war until one of them vomited or passed out from apparating too much. Not to mention that if you apparate too quickly from one place to the next, or change directions mid-apparation, you might be splinched (like what happened to Ron's arm where it almost got torn apart, or sometimes you turn inside out, etc.).
You have to spin on your heels as well to disapparate, and being lead by the arm would make that tough to do, so while Newfie's question is a valid one, Newt not being able to disapparate when being taken to custody, can be explained.
Plus for a short while after the transport the start and target destination is still connected.
That´s how Belatrix´s Dagger could kill Dobby.
The platypus-like creature is called a niffler, and yes, they like shiny things The rhino thing is an erumpent. The purply winged snake they caught in the teapot is called an occamy. Picket is a bowtruckle. The weird looking thing that bit Jacob at the beginning is a murtlap. The "big moth" also at the beginning is a billywig. The creature that could make itself invisible is a demiguise. The blue "pigeon" things are called diricawls. Frank is a thunderbird. The weird lion thing is a nundu. And the little creatures Jacob helps to feed in the suitcase are mooncalves.
Diricawls are actually what Muggles knew as the Dodo bird, they are still around but because they teleport, the Magical Community decided that Muggles should continue to think they went extinct.
On Thunderbirds: they can sense danger and create storms. What happened at the end was Newt gave the antidote (made from Swooping Evil's venom to remove bad memories) to Frank who spread it into the storm he created.
On Occamies: Their shells are very valuable as they are pure silver, it is also how they learn to defend themselves because they need to work hard to get out of the shell.
The most dangerous feature of Nundus are their breath.
The creature pushing the dung balls are dung beetles.
In a deleted scene you can see Newt handling a 3 headed snake called a Runespoor in the case.
I, personally, enjoyed Fantastic Beasts. For me, any continuation of the Harry Potter universe is awesome.
A few of these creatures are introduced in the Harry Potter books, I believe Hagrid shows the class nifflers one year and Ron makes a remark that he'd love to have one, because they find money. I believe it's in the 4th year because Hagrid buried leprechaun gold for the nifflers to find and tells the class that it vanishes so no point in stealing it, that's when Ron realizes the money he paid Harry back for the omnioculars during the Quidditch World Cup just vanished and Harry didn't realize.
Didn't Harry know an d just decided to not tell?
And Luna's dad has an erumpant horn in his house when the trio comes to visit and ask about the symbol of the deathly hallows.
I don't know if anyone has told you this, or if you guess by his personality, but Newt is a hufflepuff!

1:58 no, they did not take place in London. It hasn't been confirmed because Hogwarts is supposed to be unplottable but all the evidence heavily suggests it is in Scotland. The mention of Dufftown in POA, Sirius mentioning in a letter to Harry at the end of the POA book about making a journey NORTH to Hogwarts, the fact that they get the train at King's Cross and it takes them almost a day to get there, the rumour that there are acromantulas (those giant spiders in CoS) in Scotland in the fantastic beasts and where to find them book etc. The only times it was set in London is the ministry of magic, grimmauld place, Diagon alley/the leaky cauldron and Kings Cross Station if I'm not mistaken. THE UK IS NOT JUST LONDON!!!!!!!
I don’t watch fantastic beasts as often as the Harry Potter movies but watching you review it honestly makes me want to watch it more. I do agree that it is it’s own movie just in the same universe. Cant wait for the second review 😊💕👍🏻

I love both the series. Newts an unusual protagonist but great in his own way!
I *LOVE* Newt Scamander, by far my favorite character in all Harry Potter materials! Eddie Redmayne treated the character as someone with undiagnosed Aspergers syndrome due to his social anxieties, awkward behavior, and hyper fixation on animal husbandry, and as someone who was diagnosed as a kid I love his portrayal. Some may not but for me he was awesome
The HP universe is great but I do love the FB series so far. They are all fun films.
Fun Fact: Newt was the "distant traveller" who gave Hagrid the giant spider 😁
I feel like a lot of people think the movies aren't great because it's too easy to compare them to the Harry Potter series. But imo it's just a great series, set in the same universe I've loved for ages. I like them :)
I think the first movie was great but the second one has so much dark times and the ending was a bit frustating

I loved this film. I found it to be absolutely delightful, very enjoyable. It's just a lot of fun. I could watch it anytime. If I could visit any fictional place, Newt's case would be in my top 3 choices.

the "cockroach" pushing a ball of poo is a real thing called a dung beetle
The triangle symbol is the Deathly Hallows the Elder wand, which at this time should be held by Grindelwald (the original voldemort but not as reckless) the invisibility cloak, probably in Harry's great/grandfather's possession and the resurrection stone is the stone on Marvolo Gaunt's ring (Slytherin's ring destroyed by Dumbledore in the 6th movie) these are the Deathly Hallows together they make the master of death, Grindelwald was on a mission to take over since he was young and tried to convince Dumbledore to help him, Dumbledore was very intrigued by the Deathly Hallows at the time they were finishing school. I'm a little foggy on the full story, but pieces of it can be found in the 6th and 7th HP books. Basically the two met in the summer (I think) before their last year of school, Dumbledore at Hogwarts and Grindelwald at Durmstrung, Grindelwald almost convinced Dumbledore to find the Deathly Hallows with him but Dumbledore's sister is ill and his mom passed away so he decided not to go since his father was in jail for attacking muggles (who originally attacked his daughter so justified) so Grindelwald and Dumbledore have a small fight that resulted in his sister's death then they parted ways until their famous duel in 1945 that earned Dumbledore his reputation (although he was already exceptional at everything he did) and the Elder wand.
So Dumbledore's sister was attacked by a group of muggle boys when she was 7 I think, because they saw her doing magic by accident and when she couldn't do it again they beat her. The way they explained how an obscurial is created there's a theory that she became one after she was attacked because she never attended Hogwarts and was kept in the house, it's also theorized that when she became an obscurial she killed their mother by accident. When she was killed in Dumbledore's fight with Grindelwald, Dumbledore blamed himself because he didn't know who's curse hit her.
I'd like to know how they are going to explain the ending of the second film in that story though. However these are JK Rowling scripts, so I'm sure they won't contradict anything we seen before.

I love Nifflers (the platypus-like creature). Also I love the Fantastic Beasts films so far. Pity Johnny Depp was replaced for the 3rd film, Though I am now curious how Mads Mikkelson will handle the role. I look forward to your reaction to the 2nd movie.
I didn't know he'd been replaced, but I suppose with everything going on with his case, they wouldn't want the bad publicity. Mads will nail it though, I can see him now as Grindelwald.

The whole Mads replacing Depp is a difficult one for me as you never want someone to lose their job under those circumstances but on the other hand I actually wanted Mads to get the job in the first place 🤷♂️🤔

I love the first movie very much. I saw the fantastic beast before I saw Harry Potter. The second is not so good, but I always review it because 4 things.
. Newt
. The creatures
. Jonnhy Depp as Gellert Grindwald, what an amazing character.
. And Dumbledore
The different “sets” in his suitcase are the different natural habitats for the fantastic beast

I love these movies, and the second one is really gonna knock you back with some crazy twists and turns. Big reveals.
The creatures pens mirror the area they would live.
The creature pushing poop is a dung beatle, the roll dug to clean the area up. There are real dung beatles in Africa.
Don't forget ( like you can forget what you don't know lol ) but Ron Perlman aka "HellBoy" played Vincent in an 80s tv series of Beauty and the Beast.
Linda Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor in Terminator I & II, played the "Beauty" in this version of the story, Vincent's Catherine.
Can't say the series maintained it's quality all the way through.
The eurumpet (rhino looking creature) actually is mentioned in the Deathly Hallows book. Luna and her dad had a eurumpet horn in their house. They thought it was from a beast called a crumpled-horn (I forgot the rest of the name.) that dose not acctualy exist. Hermione, ever the know-it-all gets into an argument with Luna’s dad about it, and then one of the golden trio uses the horn to cause an explosion in order to get away from the Death Eaters.
Fun Fact: In the official Canon sometimes after Hogwarts Luna marries Newt’s grandson.

After watching the final Harry Potter movie, you would think Neville ended up with Luna. Not so. She married Newts great-grandson.
Ignore the haters, Fantastic Beast is well, fantastic lol. Johnny Depp as Grindlewald is amazing. Grindlewald is a much more interesting the Voldemort. Unfortunately the 3rd movie is doomed to fail since they fired Johnny Depp and recasted Grindlewald over bullshit. But the second movie has alot of lore and easter eggs. Also Newt is a fantastic character.
FYI: Frank is a Thunderbird, a mythical bird from native American folklore.

That's because I have seen a number of videos where youtubers just forget this scene is present and blame the second movie for bringing credence back to life just for plot convenience
I know the second movie has some problems but this isn't one and I seriously want to see how JK Rowling will fill those plot holes

The second one is crap but this one as a standalone is gorgeous in every way and definitely equal to the hp series, if not better than some of them (yeah I said it!!)
J K Rowling is writing 5 stories for these movies so 3 more to be made. I think they are great and cannot understand the griping from limited people who want everything to be the same. This was set 70 years before Harry Potter's time. Loved the 2nd one too.

No, Queenie is a natural legilimens, she's born with that abilities so she doesn't need a wand and spell to do that, unlike Snape in the fifth book

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and seen the films and read the books countless times, but never fancied this as I'm not a fan of its lead actor. I gave in recently to watch this, and I was more than pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this one a lot. Its fun, inventive, opens the wizarding world up more and into a different time period; and the creatures are great. And hell, even the guy I don't like who plays Newt, nails the character. I knew the ending before watching, but it was still a good reveal.
The next one though is a total dud, but I hope they can recover the series after that, as I believe they still plan on making a bunch more of them.

Yeh I dunno, I liked it. But I'm team animals so I'm biased. It's not a perfect film or whatever but not much is. I dunno why people expected to feel the same feelings about this storyline as they did about they one with they kids they could imagine themselves as and grow up with as they read. I do def feel like what's actually happening here is they're forcing the money train forward by making a story out of some rando book that was mentioned like twice in the main series [The "Fantastic Beasts" books by Newt - they didn't matter at all in the HP story, it was just some book title thrown out for world building] and then punching that into the tail end of the DvG hype [which was supposed to be in the dark in the main books, for all kinds of standard literary reasons, leave it to your imagination etc] to Frankenstein up what they hoped would be a windfall of nostalgia cash....................................
But I mean, it's an enjoyable movie if you're into the beasts n the lore n the world so whatever. I liked it. ....other than the rhino r*pe scene............ she wrote some "crime novel" to spew disdain for tans people all because of her own fear of sexual abuse, but then she puts her name on a film where it's funny that a rhino-beast almost "mates" [*wink*] with a guy who is running away scared.

It truly disgusts me that they fired him. Everyone who has seen the evidence clearly knows who's guilty and it's not him. I can't watch the next FB sequels without him unless they bring him back for 4 and 5. Even if the new guy does a good job it doesn't excuse WB for firing an innocent man #JusticeForJohnnyDepp

My hot take is that Fantastic Beasts has better character development. I care more about the characters in this compared the the Harry Potter series. To me HP was about the world rather than individual people.

I'm kinda glad that magic doesn't exist and you're not a wizard.
Not because I think you're a bad person or that you don't deserve it, but because your ear for the pronounciation of spells would probably have disastrous consequences.
I found Tina just so rigidly bound to the rules that even after she lightened up I found it hard to get over. I just found her so unlikable at first.
Of course Americans would act like this.
Do not see the 2nd one it is just horrible.
Let him make up his own mind
