Dreams is astonishing I can't explain how I feel when I play some of these passionate games that we the gamers have created.     Dreams as a concept is outstanding, and truly one of a kind;
    A open game creation software with every tool in one place to make...anything!
    Dreams is suffering though, From playstation never advertising it to No solid dates on any new features from MM.
    From the players side (I have put hundreds of hours into dreams) you have unlimited options to build whatever you want, its great!
    A issue though is lack of attention from playstation and MM in some ways, which leaving very little playerbase growth, and making fewer and fewer players as a whole.
    Less players=less shared content=less seen content.
    And from there bored players to less players, now that 80+ hour game you have been working on only 5 people get to see it.
    That hurts.
    Overall its amazing, one of my favorite games on PS, but Dreams is suffering :/

      I agree with this. When I posted a thread about Dreamscom on ResetERA, I got 1 reply. My weekly best Dreams Creations OT hardly gets any replies, though people have expressed their thanks to me for the curation efforts.
      Speaking of which, do you want me to share this video on ERA @Ugly Sofa Gaming? I vividly remember how the two of us had to defend Dreams in that Kotaku article thread. It was literally bonkers.
      I have something else to add: I believe the curation around the launch of Dreams was not good enough. As a result, many people had already left Dreams behind before the good stuff got properly highlighted. That’s something which they cannot correct now. I do think a PS Now or PS Plus addition is in the cards at some point for Dreams. When they do that, they should be ready, and I believe they will be.

    I would love to be extremely positive about dreams, but for me it just feels like theres nothing to gain for working on a full game like I have. There isnt many people out there who can see my creation. making it feel like all my hard work will simply get buried within thousands of creations. I love dreams as a creation tool, but wish my creations and all my hours of hard work would be mine. At times I feel like a free worker going through all the stress to end up with nothing. Ive worked on a game for 2 years and will have nothing to show for the 1000s of hours spent creating a hole game. I came into to this not knowing how far I'd take it. Core, the UGC creation engine built on top of Unreal Engine, has player tournaments with cash prizes, as they have a similar lack of players. But then again, they have online multi. Nicely put together. Dreams has some amazing content, some fun content and a lot that isnt. The trick is to find a curator you trust who puts up regular collections so you can find the cream. What curators need to do is find each other because we are all pretty invisible on our own. The Tenia has got the keys to the castle so he's fine, and he gets to put out his choice in MM picks and playlists, but it is really hard to get noticed with collections as a normal Dreamer. Maybe we need to start promoting the collectors as well as the Dreams. Any suggestions on who to look for?

    I picked up dreams on PS4 a few days ago on a whim knowing almost nothing about it other than people made funny memes with it and a game here and there like a year ago (heck, even when Dreams was announced at E3 it wasn't exactly clear _what_ the game truly was so I kinda skipped over it, sony didn't exactly do the best job of marketing it) and I think it's easily the best thing I own on the platform to be quite frank. Feels like the return of Macromedia Flash/Newgrounds to me in a good way, and the combined value of that dwarfs any AAA game to me. I feel awful for sleeping on it.
    However, I would really like to see a PC release on steam down the line, so I can start creating and playing stuff in VR and share them with playstation players, as I already own and enjoy a Valve Index and think buying a PSVR just for dreams and astro bot rescue mission is a big redundant expense since that's all I'd use a PSVR for. I hear that the creation tools are vastly more user friendly if you have 2 move controllers and I can definitely see how that would be the case as it'd be less like fiddling with a jittery gyro mouse and more like playing with legos.
    The gyro controller is fantastic for menu navigation but far too unstable for *comfortable* creation in my opinion, I'm actually quite impressed at the stuff that's being made considering that limitation, especially stuff like Noguchi's Bell. Sure you can fix a lot of stuff by using Keyframes for animation which can smooth out that jitter for you, but the workflow is inefficient with a controller in my opinion. I also played a game called "*lash" that was stunning to look at but made my PS4 Pro cry as it struggled to render all of the beautiful foilage.
    The actual tools themselves and the tutorials for them though? mwah, chef's kiss of excellence. I genuinely think that people _could_ make "AAA quality" games with dreams given the right amount of time and collaboration, because I see the potential in the toolkit. Even the limitations themselves can be broken by splitting up the creation into several scenes that load into each other, and they load *surprisingly fast* which is a thing I think is super impressive under the hood type stuff you wouldn't see many talk about. Can only imagine it would be instant on PC or PS5.

    I have owned Dreams for a while and never felt I was progressing in my creative ability but since the LBP servers were disabled I have spent more time on the game again and it reminded me of why I used to be so excited about the game. Now that I’ve spent time on the game though I have finally felt that I am getting better with it (though I still don’t think I’m that good). Your video review of dreams though is a near perfect summary of how I’ve been viewing the Dreams community!!

  • @jjnoodles1846
    @jjnoodles1846 3 года назад +17

    In comparison to my time with LBP, Dreams is extremely complex and requires a lot of effort for very little reward. I would might as well just learn computer programming and create a game for scratch for profit. Also, not many people play Dreams so who knows if your efforts will go unnoticed. LBP levels were just so fun and easy to create that required minimal time and effort

    • @UglySofaGaming
      @UglySofaGaming  3 года назад +12

      I do disagree myself JJ. The barrier to creation in LBP was lower but the range was much, much more limited. You could easily make an OK side-scrolling platformer - but again to make anything truly worth someone else's time you have to dig into the complicated logic systems, learn some game design etc. Ultimately (personally speaking) I never spent much time playing community creations in LBP despite owning all three games. Levels were frustratingly slow to load into, and the game was filled with just as much jank and rubbish as Dreams. As a player I've found Dreams to be infinitely more rewarding and I feel much more confident recommending Dreams rather than LBP to someone who wants to play rather than create.
      The idea that one should learn computer programming rather than create in Dreams is based on the assumption that the only reason to create is based on either monetary incentive or professional development. I wouldn't recommenced Dreams to someone based on these assumptions. People that ARE using Dreams for those things are doing it on the hope the Dreams platform may one day offer monetisation/exporting and while I think it is likely (one day) there's zero guarantee. There are unarguably better options for these people.
      But that's not the point of (this current) version of Dreams. Dreams is a casual creations tool, meant to be messy and abstract and collaborative and fun. It's designed to scratch a creative itch, not to make you money or help get you a coding job.

    @CHROME-COLOSSUS 2 года назад +1

    Great video! I’m relatively new to DREAMS, having had no real success creating anything for the first year or more. I couldn’t even tell at the beginning if I’d be able to make anything of value, so it was a bit of a leap of hope to keep coming back to it every few months.
    I finally pushed through the (sometimes frustrating) sculpting tutorials far enough to make encouraging progress around Xmas 2021, and it quickly ballooned into much much more than just sculpting for me.
    So… I’m in the smallest DREAMS pool of all: VR.
    As a gamer I have no interest in non-VR content, but I like that many DREAMS creations can be enjoyed with some level of VR immersion, albeit limited.
    Since gaining traction figuring out how to sculpt, I’ve learned that the real VR capabilities of DREAMS have almost not been touched by anyone else. When searching exhaustively for obvious things like “VR PADDLEBALL” or “VR GOLF” - anything that uses the simple dynamic of reaching out with a tool to touch something else in the environment , I’ve come across approximately three creations by others, and none of them are any fun. It’s what led me to my first public share: “ICE Realm VR” a place I created as part of my own learning process, so it’s an odd mishmash of things… but, I think it showcases something fundamental that I wish others were aware of and implementing in their own experiences.
    It’s quite easy to almost instantly begin physics-based, first person game creation since no animated, pre-programmed, logic-filled, action is required when the player is already existing within the game physically.
    Anyways, I’m now on a mission to learn everything I can, and figure out ways to show other people the squandered power of DREAMS for VR. I feel strongly that it shouldn’t simply be the single-most popular game for VR enthusiasts… it should be a PSVR system-seller, as there is no direct comparison in ALL of VR.
    There aren’t any good templates for the VR in DREAMS, so I’m hoping to act as an ambassador, possibly with some instructional introductory videos, or even a handy usable starter kit.

    We need more players!!
    And MM needs to put in some effort to curate. If I type in "water" for sound effects, I shouldn't have to scroll through dozens of clips that are: screaming, song rip offs, sheer nonsense, broken and poor quality clips...
    We should AT THE VERY LEAST be able to flag assets which are incorrectly categorized for MM to fix. Why is some of this junk being made public and not private. There is so much CRAP on dreams these days. People seem to just abuse it for making meme content and anyone actually wanting to create have to wade through the ever growing nonsense.
    HOW do we still not have multiplayer? Why is all the most interesting stuff found via Reddit and MM only spotlights the same stuff/creators all the time?
    THE BEST thing MM could do, which they said was the long game for Dreams (but they seem to have abandoned all goals with Dreams) was allow creators to sell, export, etc. beyond dreams. They should partner with the PSstore so creators can sell their "Dream" directly on the PSstore which would download some kind of backdoor version of Dreams. This would put it in line with things like Steam. A monetary value, even if selling the "dream"/game for $1 would reward and put pressure on good content. IT ALSO gets people playing dreams without committing to the whole game. It's win-win.
    So much wasted potential here. MM is driving me nuts.

You know, just by way of helping outsiders who want to get into playing Dreams (as opposed to just creating), I suggest making a video advertising the Dreamers who do content curation. I spend most of my time creating, but personally I felt like after following Dreamers like The Tenia, Ladylex, and OcularFixation it became a lot easier to enjoy playing too. It's nice to be able to pick games by genre or release period. Cheers!

      Ikr. The game's concept and design direction are at a conflict; the menu, music, and art direction is directed at little kids while the tools have potential to make some very advanced stuff. If the game had a minimalistic and streamlined user interface and they removed the "imps", people would take it more seriously, also a filter to filter out all the dumb crap that gets published in the game. But I get it, the same way Little Big Planet made me passionate about creating stuff, they want to make it possible for a new generation of kids to experience the same thing. I still think the UI needs an overhaul because I don't think even kids like it, it's just not as compelling as LBP was. Honestly I hope someone takes the idea of Dreams and makes a better, free to play game for PC. only then we will see the full potential of what Dreams could have been.

    Dreams PS4 is NOT Dying...But It Does Have Some Issues
    Why does Dreams PS4 attract such negativity in enthusiast gaming communities? Is it justified, ignorance, or is at problem Sony Playstation and Media Molecule need to address?
    We prove beyond a shadow of a doubt there are fun games to play in Dreams RIGHT NOW and speculate on what's causing this perception issue.
    Finally Dreams has found modest success as a retail release but gamers still in doubt need to open their minds to the possibility of how Dreams can evolve as a live service game...we hint towards what that could mean.
    This is such a huge topic, we really wan't hear what you guys think, lets have a health debate and discuss!

    • @petercottantail7850
      @petercottantail7850 3 года назад +3

      I've spent thousand+ hours in creating and as unique of an experience it is and probably revolutionizing the way games can be made, I have to say it's kinda reaping from it's own failures.
      -I didn't realize I'd type this much and realized it looks like a tangent but they're there to add weight to my points.-
      1) Accessibility has been mentioned a bit in the comments, but MM's obsession with motion controls being the only way to truely make dreams was a huge turn off for those who knew what dreams was about. (Have they not learned from the hate nintendo gets?) Anything you can do with the controller or motion+ can be done much easier/effectively with mouse and keyboard support, except maybe sculpting with motion+ but that's a niche point as not everyone (very few percentage) is use to sculpting on a professional level to take advantage of it's potential. The friend who told me about dreams quit after a month because he couldn't stand the motion controls, it's apathetic to say that people who don't like motion controls are being ignorant or should just get use to it everyone is wired differently.
      2) Tutorials are terrible, I'm not sure why MM hasn't comeback to the tutorials (maybe they have simce i last played) or thought the ones added were good enough, lbp2 tutorials were great, explained what you needed to know for each gadget and you go at your own pace. Dreams tutorials teach like their demographic a bunch of toddlers, which wouldnt be the worst if they proceeded to make more in-depth tutorials to follow up to let it all sink. Some of 5he most useful gadgets are never adressed and the tutorial s barely dive into the new concepts that dreams introduces with what makes it so good. 'Oh heres a box with a box in a box with a hat in it good luck LUL.' arguments could be made that it's up to the olayer to learn if they want to imorove but when the tutorial says "goodjob you learned the basics of making a puppet" it implies you learne dwhat you needed when you actually just missed how significant groups in drems are. The lack of online documentation on top of the vauge tutorials leaves the player completely lost.
      The least they could have done was have a wall of text that explains what every gadget does and what quirks make it unique. If you try to look up everything a signal manipulator does you only get a quarter of what it's uses are. It seems the goal was not to overload the player with information but by doing so they left them unprepared and feeling left out.
      3) The bugs and backtracking. Trying to retain a player base by adding features all while so many bugs that STILL haven't been fixed is very painful.
      4) when you miscalculate what you want to accomplish and find out you have to start over from scratch because the way dreams works from common scenario's, these will turn off a new player from pushing through and solving the matter at hand. I'm not talking about game development that need to be re done to make a better game. Dreams heavily punishes a developer for not working backwards from the very beginning a game which thrives from experimenting with what works from moment to moment. If this game was targeting hardcore players this wouldn't be too big of a deal. But that is in itself why less people play.
      I've seen arguements against this point, that in real game development this happens all the time. I've used other game making software before, they have systems in place that if something doesn't work out how you planned, you can fix it without ripping apart the entire project.
      Dreams for most players has been a dream crusher. And I'm not talking about my personal experience only, I have watched countless streams after dreams was released of streamers trying to make a game, these isssues are what made them give up or quit. If you want a game to be played by more people how long will you blame the consumer before you look at your own faults.
      You really can do so much in dreams but to expect people to put up with the abusive issues to reap that benefit is questionable

    • @UglySofaGaming
      @UglySofaGaming  3 года назад +3

      Your comments are on the tutorials are something I can’t agree more with. The reason why we’re making a game like Project Fool with only remixable assets and logic is because learning everything is too big a time sink and there’s no easy reference. MM covered the basics and did seem to expect people to just figure it out. One of the top recommendations is to just play with logic and see what happens, that’s not how I learn I need set instructions and MM doesn’t offer them and the community tutorials vary in quality. A more complete compendium of the tutorials was a must and it is something they hopefully will improve.

      The problem with the way people are defending Dreams, is that they're taking their own personal feelings into account. I see so many comments here talk about how much they love the game and spend so much time playing it, and how there are so many amazing levels. That's all fine and good....but it's not enough.
      The problem with Dreams was marketing.
      The release was a mess. It was released under the radar, to content creators at first... as early access. Which ok, I understand, it makes sense. Lets get some levels made before they release the entire game with no community levels. But the way it was handled. It was sort of done out of nowhere. And I remember when looking up information about the game (when it was in early access) about it's release date... it said it wasn't released or out at all. But i seeing stuff about it? How do I get to play it? How are some people playing and I can't? There wasn't much explanation online about it. So I just out it out of my mind. Then at one point, I thought about the game again and found out it was "fully" released??? I was so confused by how it was released and the information about it. The marketing and advertising for the game was atrocious.
      The trailers, commercials and ads are terrible. 99% of the ads basically go one of two ways.
      1: It's a 3 minute video that shows 10 second clips of a lot of different levels.
      2: It's a 3 minutes video that shows 1 level that's incomplete.
      There's no meat in any trailers. All they ever show are concepts to levels or short clips to levels that take 2-4 minutes to beat. Even as of today, that's what we're seeing. It MIGHT not be so bad, if they didn't purposely release early access to avoid this. But when I see a trailer for a video game, I want to see fully realized ideas. I'm not going to go out and buy a video game just to play concept/incomplete levels.
      I've said this FROM THE BEGINNING (this isn't hindsight), I don't understand why they didn't just make LittleBigPlanet 4, and gave the game all these same create tools. The game would probably be thriving right now.
      Sackboy: A Big Adventure has received bigger recognition.
      Also, when you have to title a video "......is NOT Dying", then whatever you write before that is most likely probably dying lol. It's sad, but true. I for one am extremely sad about it. I remember seeing previews for the game and getting super hyped and excited about it. The problem is that all the previews I saw...... I'm basically still seeing the same things.

      Early Access / Launch definitely could have gone better. Marketing was and is poor.
      But that’s external factors the community can’t control. It doesn’t change the fact that Dreams is amazing. It doesn’t change the fact Dreams is still receiving constant support as a live service game, Media Molecule is rapidly expanding and there’s clearly a future roadmap.
      I have to entitle a video like this with the key words “Dreams dying” because it’s the only way to get any external attention I wanted to show off all the great things in Dreams because there such a terrible perception and it’s based more upon decisions the suits have made rather than the game or devs which is daft

    I think Dreams could benefit from a few things, yes a ps5 re-release with a new "brand rejuvenating message" via advertising that paints this game as the solid live service and vast powerful creation toolkit and plenty of gameplay experiences that are all user generated that it is...
    Also a few psvr RUclipsrs have been talking about the possibility of the ps5 version coinciding with the release of the psvr2, and that they may also bring back Playstation Home through dreams, giving people their own completely customizable space that you can invite others and also a plethora of other ideas with a vr community center (like the mall) people could visit.
    And I know this may be controversial, but I think it could really benefit from a PC port as well, with cross play to Playstation (on a side note please while your at it Sony make the psvr2 compatible with PC as well just saying...). IMO console exclusives are just booty at this point nobody cares to move to a specific console over an exclusive game people care about the hardware and their personal preference to the user experience. These companies are just choking out the studios by not allowing their titles to flourish across the market. Xbox I think is doing a great job with gamepass by making that available on multiple platforms/devices, and I say that as someone who has never owned an Xbox!

There’s also a “detail” tool you can use to make items less costly by reducing detail. Good thing about being a sculpture is once you learn how to create in an optimised way you’ll be able to make efficient environments to your taste where as I have to pick and choose carefully what I use. If you spend more time sculpturing and doing environmental design you could lean on community assets for something else like logic or gameplay mechanics

They also have to deal with a real soul-crusher of an issue and that is throttling people with more powerful hardware so that vanilla PS4 users dont get left behind. They would have been far better off pushing release back to PS5 launch and spending the extra year optimizing for the hardware upgrade. If that were the case, you'd probably be able to stuff 3-5 times more logic into a scene. Although, a lot of things that happened in the dev cycle are kind of head-scratchers in hindsight.

    The problem with dreams is that almost nobody wants to play a short, non-multiplayer slightly unpolished game within a game. Even though these creators are extremely talented, it can’t come close to other real game experiences created by a professional team. Why would anybody play gothic scythe when you can play dark souls. Or why would anybody play call of the battlefront instead of COD, or ommy kart instead of Mario kart. That is the real problem

    I think about this a lot and I still feel like Dreams is missing some secret sauce. I think the UI needs major changes, and without multiplayer Dreams remains a hard sell. Singleplayer games are not dying, but it's becoming increasingly harder to justify playing hit or miss games on your own when you could have fun with friends. I don't know if you guys played LBP before Dreams, but Dreams definitely feels like a cold, isolated experience in comparison.
    Even though I create a lot in Dreams I myself funnily enough am one of those players who almost exclusively plays AAA games, and often can't get into Dreams ones. I don't need AAA games made in Dreams, but I do want to see more AAA (or I guess professional indie) level controls and responsiveness. A lot of games in Dreams, well made or not, suffer from floaty controls, janky animations, unbalanced difficulty and questionable hit detection (not saying mine don't!). While there are still plenty of responsive and quality games in Dreams, very few of them have ever gotten me hooked for some reason. For my ''aquired taste'' :) there isn't a system seller yet, that I love so much that I think it's worth buying Dreams for. Might just be because my preference for genre, story driven third/first person shooters, is one of the harder ones to get right in Dreams. For those who love horror and puzzle games, buying Dreams is probably a no-brainer.

    I do think that much of it falls onto us the community for promoting it.
    Though I admit it is very disheartening to know that if you can’t produce super top tier content you are doomed to the realm of obscurity. So here's an idea I whould like to see in a mid term to distant future of the dreams engine:
    A dedicated Dreams Pro version that cuts out the usual dreamiverse and makes it a fully dedicated development engine exclusive to PSN offering to monetize your projects.
    It whould be free but you whould be obliged to take all the legal responsibilities and hoops of a regular developer including fees and revenue share to sony. This enviroment whould offer you to make validated creation that are all yours.
    You could build games to add to PSN or assets to share on a dedicated content marketplace for Dreams Pro. BUT all assets you whould make for the Dreams Pro marketplace whould also be released to the regular Dreams for free. Offering to test and play around with them before adding them to your projects and offering the hobbiest and recreational developers quality content. Also you could import your Dreams Pro game to Dreams and cut it down to a Demo or an early access version to gather feedback before release.
    So the idea is to evolve Dreams further into the professional tool it deserves to be while keeping and sustaining the regular version as the wonderful playground it already is.
    Wouldn't that be a win on all fronts?

      This retail version is exactly that yeah, for hobbyists. People who aren’t creative don’t understand why anyone would “work” in Dreams for no monetary incentive. At the same time there’s clearly a lot of people that got Dreams wanting to monetise and there’s just zero indication of any commitment that would ever happen...I think one day it will happen but no in this retail version of the game. “Dreams” is a retail game/platform - what I hint at in the video is if Playstation wanted they could easily turn Dreams one day into an engine people can license and export or some other package which might be appealing to creators who want to make a professional project. But in 2021 I can’t in good conscience recommend a wanna be professional developer Dreams as a tool for anything other than a tool to have fun with, experiment, workshop and maybe learn some design principles.

    Dreams as a concept is brilliant... but lets be honest... the quality of the games made In dreams aren’t really much better than something you’d see In a free browser game...
    So we gotta ask ourselves, “would the average gamer like playing short, Amateur-made games on a Ps4/ps5? Especially when psnow exists...?”
    So yes dreams is Nice... but the Lack of professionally made (Mm) assets is really poor. And we gotta stop beating around the bushes and stop lying to ourselves about the quality of the games In dreams...
    They are not appealing to the general public... and it actually surprises me that Mm spend almost a decade making an engine with such weak thermos.
    And then people wonder, “why did everyone go?”
    Hopefully Dreams+ (PS5) Will be a complete gamechanger with high-end assets and other components that make the games look like something that wasn’t made for a PS1/2

    • @UglySofaGaming

      I disagree as far as what you think about the quality issues. There’s certainly a lot of stuff not above browser games but I think we’ve got to the point where there is a very health choice of fun quality games that go past the list in this video. You can’t find something like Happy Jack free online. We can’t judge Dream on its total output I think but the with the value is does provide for a very low price point.
      That being said - I think what you’ve said about PS Now is on the money. That, game pass, ps plus, games with gold, massive frequent digital discounts. Games have far less value than when I was a youngster l, there’s so much free content or stuff available for very cheap and that definitely eats into the appeal of Dreams. A game that spawns infinite games would have been MONEY on PS1 and PS2 and even was on PS3.
      More professional content packs from MM, wrapped up in a story expansion (LBP themed pack anyone) would put a lot of eyes back on Dreams for sure

    The persistent idea there's nothing of quality in dreams comes from the fact that worthwhile creations must be dug in deep to discover. I wouldn't even call the failure of curation MM's fault either, as you explained what drove clicks and what didn't. Goes back to Sony failing to recognize what they held.
    I once streamed hopping from game to game for friends who didn't own dream to watch. Played several hours of titles. They WANTED to see more but simply couldn't unless I streamed or they were able to Ninja their way through the internet algorithm to find something. It wasn't as black and white as "I need a triple A title", it was merely people only uploaded remakes and jokes. As you stated yourself, it was the first thing you saw even when you logged on as an owner of the game. Now if the people who gave dreams a chance and got past the paywall got burned by the memes, there's no way in hell others are gonna have better luck.
    Icing on the cake is you can call dreams a live service game, which may as well be industry speak for "good content will arrive later." It's difficult to change your reputation once it sets in. Dreams has the monumental task of doing this, seemingly through word of mouth alone.
    This lack of exposure to the content is what contributes to dreams negative perception, and what results in players not being willing to experiment. I'm glad MM isn't giving up on dreams and I'm glad their numbers are showing growth. Dreams is fantastic and it doesn't deserve to be forgotten so quickly.

    while i agree that the game has potential, the problem of this video is that you find those creators levels to be very good. Listen man, don't lie to yourself, they are very impressive due to the fact that they were made by a person using a controller, but they are far from being good games, those levels are mediocre at best. None of those levels even come close to the quality of the main level (media molecule's). You commented about the fps game. Dude, why would i play a game like that when i can play cod or any better fps game out there? If someone have any interest in dreams, it'll be because of the unique levels that they can play with their friends for fun, no one is interested in starting a level, but actually it's not a level, it's a stupid meme with reused assets from someone else, or a walking simulator where you are supposed to just look at how "pretty" the level is. If they want to make this game be big, they have to focus on multiplayer and making the tools easier to use and easier to understand. Multiplayer should have been there since day 1. The way they made the game ended up shortening the audience by half because of these flaws. LBP worked well because it had all of those qualities that is said

      Because its fun. It can be a novelty. It can be a unique experience. It’s not your desert island game. You’re not signing up to play this Dream for 200 hours while it gouges your wallet.
      We made a video with the best games from Dreams in 2021: ruclips.net/video/T7RKmpLPdAE/видео.html
      Most of the stuff on that list I played for more than an hour, some a lot more. So many of them have held my attention better and gave me a better experience than Arts Dream from Media Molecule. I own 4 LittleBigPlanet games, and after 10 years and millions of community creations I’d struggle to name a single one of them and from my experience there’s a single handful that are worth spending an hour on. Not to say they are bad, to my original point they just don’t appeal to me.
      Where as Dreams is a massive variety of different genres and I find actually playing the games on it infinitely more enjoyable. When I play these games is does pop into my head they were made on a controller, not as a detriment or a handicap as you think of it, but I think about how Dreams has opened up pathways for game experiences that never would have existed otherwise.
      I never would have made a game without Dreams. It’s awesome I made a horror game and 3000 people have played it, and I’ve got to see some of them jump out of their seats or just enjoy interacting with it.

    I like dreams but I cant stand using a controller when in creation mode.
    I don't need it on PC but it would of been nice if I could use a USB Mouse and Keyboard for this one.

      If you don't like aiming you can always change it to allow you to use your joystick instead of the motion sensor. But If that's not the reason why you dislike it, I don't think there's a fix. 😅

    If I may, I'd like to offer only one critique/comment about your style. You are incredibly slow talking. Incredibly slow. Not sure if this is intentional but I would swear this was recorded at 50% speed. Thank you for listening to my critique. I enjoyed your breakdown of Dreams and fully believe, as you do, Dreams isn't leaving us. :)

      Media Molecule’s live service team broke their backs this year doing what they could to keep interest going but I’ve got to think a flashier announcement is on its way soon! We’ve got a similar video coming soon and I’ll take your critique to heart - I’m something of a motor mouth usually with a slight lisp so I try to enunciate and probably over did it. Welcome to the channel!
