Another real classic country singer who deserves to be better known.Stu is also a very good gospel singsr. His version of "Suppertime" is one of the best.
Me again, he sounds like the great Jim Reeves. When I heard this song in it original version 40 years ago, I thought that it was Jim Reeves. Greetings from a Belgium country music dj
Here in Scandinavia it was relesaed and performed by the big norwegian singer Ray Adams 1969. But he sing in Swedish! I also recorded that one 1993. A cute song!
Thanks for posting this one. Here in Flanders, Belgium, this song was covered, in Dutch, by the Flemish singer Will Tura in 1965 and it was number one for 20 weeks. I send you an audio- video of it. Greetings Germain and Greta.
I wasn't sure at the time I uploaded it if it was the original, I have since found out it wasn't and then I found the original here on RUclips. I do like the original best, but I enjoy both of them
This is re-recorded version of the original by Stu Phillips but sounds great. I just founf the original version from Stu on RUclips also. And indeed, Will Tura in Belgium had a huge number hit with it in a Dutch version.
Is there anyone out there that know what year this version was recorded. The original 1966 but this one? If You knew, let me also know what album this is could be.

Great to Finally get some Stu Phillips on here... One of the most underappreciated Grand Ole Opry members...
His voice was so rich....Just loved him! Thank you for posting.
I'm pleased to see that Stu is still recording. I have four of his albums, Sadly I don't have any of his today's recordings....

I am glad to hear that, I didn't think it was the one I remember, I liked the original better, do you happen to have it?
I have a 45rpm of him: 'I Will'
