Oh Josh, you'll make a fantastic daddy to your kids. Both you and Brit will be wonderful parents and I wish you the best of luck. Life is good!
Yay more sleeper videos
You aren’t the only one Josh! My father had a Volvo it was great for the first 2 years, then the I shift transmission acted up by lurching forward or backwards and destroyed itself and the driveshaft. Truck sat at Volvo for 4 months. And then it needed a whole new def system. And he went from 7.5 mpg to 5mpg. Thank god it was a company truck.
Yep, a friend just about went broke over the BS with Volvo sensors. He was so sorry he sold his old Freightliner.
@@carlthor91 pre like 2010 Freightliners are the best
Thank you for being very passionate about your job without forgetting your family. You’re an inspiration to me sir
You are a cool guy Trucker Josh. Keep making Video, you and Diesel make things nicer. Thanks
I’m glad he’s making overnight runs again!! I have
re-subscribed
No Dog Vlog!
But I have to say... Loving the overnight stuff.
Remember when you had the poor def sensor issue in Fredericton? What a nightmare. Fun motel videos though.
And someone dropped him off a gift certificate at his motel.
You checked off missing all the deisels except the dog! Miss him on the trip
A little story about the smell of diesel. I remember when I was a paper boy on a very cold and crisp day back in....oh.....about 1967. The nearby trailer court that I delivered in had a well with a diesel motor powering it. The air being so cold and still made the smell of the exhaust more pronounced. I liked the smell of it, and anytime I smell it now it takes me back to those mornings. Stay safe out there.
It's always fun for me to see you in places I'm familiar with. I delivered in Fargo yesterday morning, but was out of there by 9am. My company pulls cardboard for recycle out of Nash Finch on Main Av. I didn't yesterday, but when I do, I scale at that Stamart because Moorhead scale is always open.
These emissions systems do not like the cold weather. They need heat to operate properly. If the truck can’t get the exhaust temps high enough then the soot will build up until a parked regen is needed.
Looking forward to tomorrow morning waking up in North Dakota. Good night trucker Josh.
Thumbs up 👍266
I'm not a betting man but I would bet my house you will be a world class dad. Just got my CDL a few months ago; solely based on your videos and positive view on the industry. Watching TJV gave me the itch, and I followed after you and scratched it! Your wife should be proud to have you as a sidekick. Safe roads Josh!
Thanks Mike! That means a lot! Made my day
I've been doing OTR flatbed for a long time and I absolutely refuse to transport those wooden trusses. For some reason, they scare me because it's such an uneven looking load and it's hanging off the sides of the trailer and the straps are just all over. I know it's a mental thing, but stressing over a improperly loaded flatbed trailer sucks while you're driving...... And good luck with that Volvo, you figure a truck designed in a very cold weather country like Sweden would actually do well in cold weather 🤪
Next time you can put it in manual mode and down shift from 12th to 11th gear (or 8-7 10-9). It will push rpm up high enough to do a rolling regen. Mine was govern at 65mph dropping it into 11th could only go 60-62. Takes a hour plus but 90 min at 60 mph vs 65 is better than 0 mph if your limited on time
Good vlog Josh, supper of champions LOL. Have a good night. Thanks.
I love your videos. Keep it Great 👍. God Bless
Hey Josh one is a transmission brake and the other a Jake or engine brake.
Hi Josh . They always like to put the wide part of the load on the curb side . So if you get bored the can play chicken with the mail boxes . It’s like 10 pin I scored 3 & one bus stop sign in my driving career 👍🇨🇦 P.S. Indianajack loved the Volvo he called her Old Red But i Guess he Is a Viking from Sweden .
If you put stuff on passenger seat it will trigger seat belt indicator if stuff on seat is heavy enough .... do up the belt before you load up for a road trip .... same applies for personal vehicles ....
Hopefully you do get to own your own Kenworth. If you do hopefully you give Andy the business. He makes some kick ass trucks on his channel
Indiana Jack swears by them. My absolute 100,% favorite is the new Mack that will be mine next year 2022.
Man! I just love your attitude Josh, when you have diesel running through your veins there’s no escaping it! I miss my daily life in the truck going about my deliveries meeting different people. Always kept my truck clean & shiny too, can’t stand a dirty truck! (Or car for that matter) stay safe bud, catch you in the next one 🇬🇧👍🏻👏🏻
Just Want To Hi And Have Good Day And Good Week The Care
Ya buddy the w900 you deserve it cant wait!
Hey the carpet looks great I always had carpeting in my trucks your truck stay warmer in winter and my air conditioner didn't have to work so hard in the summer never like the hardwood floors !! 🤠
Never drove a truck with DEF. Sure have learned a lot watching your videos about the modern trucks.
Early def systems are horrible. But after like 2014 they aren’t that bad. Just gotta take care of them. With heavy loads really. Because heavy loads and steep grades get that exhaust hot enough to where it’ll clean it out and reduce the soot in the DPF. Like a regen
They are unreliable. That's all you need to know.
@@Josh-of-all-Trades not really. Just gotta take care of them. Running light loads and flat grounds 80% of the time isn’t gonna help it.
Great job and stay warm and safe
gotta love detriots
Good video, Josh. Drive safely my friend. God bless you 🙏.
Volvos bite. You could not give me one. Freightliners are one of the most dependable trucks in winter.
Parked regen, oh, how we haven’t missed this!
I know where your coming from. That’s why I’m a local and highway driver. Every second weekend I go away for one night and my kids are use to me coming back the day after
I don't remember how, but one of senior drivers explained a way to by pass the regen. I don't remember the steps but I know it was done many times. Good video Josh.
New subscriber in 🇬🇧 love the channel
Welcome!
You're awesome man!!! Always love a fellow Manitoban
Josh you ready for the holidays
Seatbelts have a charged tensioner. If you are in an accident the charge is ignited and the tensioner will draw in the seatbelt in up to 8". This is why people have seat belt burn after accidents and seatbelts need to be replaced.
If your truck is displaying the seatbelt signal does that mean the tensioner will not retract if it doesn't think your seatbelt is on? I would have your team look at that if they haven't yet.
Well done TJV, you've spoken the Queens English and called it a root, not a route...haha :)
Made me happy when you mentioned the bean to cup, reminded me of all your old videos and you getting those 😂 Love the OTR vlogs. Glad you can toss some of these trips into your work. Can’t wait for some farther ones (hopefully somewhere warm for yah 😏)

Keep dreaming and one day you'll have it 🙂
Like the good ole days Josh!
We’ll see you around the highway!
Where’s Diesel though?
Hey Josh I used to drive a Volvo and I’ve had all the same problems
My curse is with PACCAR trucks. Whenever I drive Pete 579s and KW T680s I have similar sensor and DEF and regen issues. That's why I like me my Detroit Diesels instead. 😁
Josh, I am an elderly woman, and there is no such thing as electronical, it is electronic. lol.
And I live right off US10 in Wisconsin!
hi mate how are u keep up the good work and keep the viedos coming
The lines that you called dotted, they are actually skips.
That Stamart is Flying J owned.
I wish you could of taken Diesel with you.
your a special volvo good,good,lol.
Ain’t there two plugs on volvo one for shore power other for the block heater
when will the next travel to Quebec?
Good weekend.
Not sure right now. One day for sure!
What’s a Canadian supper?
Hello Josh !
Hey Richard!
@@Trucker_Josh I hope that you , Brit and the boys are all doing well. Have a awesome weekend :-)
Hi Josh hope it's all it's well
I almost hit some wild horses in North Dakota or was it, South Dakota, I can't don't remember i's need a few years.
Have you seen Andy Kensworth guy video w900 Black and Red one. What is it with volvo over here in UK I don't here much going wrong save travel josh
Starts like nothin
Ah yes, but the company is saving money on the fuel...Really, I would never join a company that had volvo fleets.. with your experience out west go find a company with some Petes or Kenworths..
Petes and kenworths dont make a company .. sound like someone not in the industry.
Just a comment. I don't watch vids where the driver is staring into the camera most of the time. Its about the highway and the ride. You are a truck driver not a movie star.
I think it's pronounced "root"
who loaded your trailer like that lol... way too much trailer tandem weight vs drive axle weight
Adbule ( def ) just distorts trucks engines
A Volvo with problems... go figure. Never see those problems in the trusty reliable Kenworths or Peterbilts... theu just keep on rollin'!
Have no clue what your talking about all trucks break down biggest piece of shit engine are paccar
This could have been a nice doggy trip :-(
Was that the Ginger Snap Mountain Dew you had Josh? If it was did you like it? I didn't care for it.
It was a bit much for me
Welcome to Volvo
As you drive take note of the vast empty spaces! Is the population really out of control?
He has to feed the woke mob to keep the Benjamin's flowing in.
Do you agree with some states maybe thinking about changing to 18 y/o kids being able to get cdl-a?
Long time ago you said ur dream truck was a volvo 780 😂
Experience changes things lol 😆
Hi
Before you know it, OTR trucks will be hydrogen powered fuel cells.
It’s route not route. Just so we are clear and yes you said that 2 different ways in you head. Your welcome
😆 I did lol
Josh what ever happens in Europe it’ll happen here. Europe trucks are more advanced then American trucks.
Keep on trucking and oils are a natural organic product of mother nature don't believe in their fibbing..
Volvos have nothing but problems and that’s sad. Such a waste of time and fuel trying to operate and make money with them
route
VOLVO the over grown mini-van. That's kind of an insult, mini-vans are more reliable.
😂 people who thinks that Josh is funny...when are you going on tour comedian Josh
Why not take the kids with you when they get older
volvo trucks should have been illegal to produce!
I hope you two find a way to make some baby's. I know you two would make excellent parents.
have berry merry Christmas 🎄 Josh
