They actually came *from* Taiwan, and travelled from there to the Philippines, Indonesia and then New Zealand and spread all over the Pacific Ocean. Their travels were not any less impressive than you described of course, just that they didn't originate in Hawaii.
I appreciate all your effort, you've shown us so many good games and I've enjoyed your content greatly. I know you mentioned you had a hard time getting out of bed and I sure know what that feels like. Don't let it overtake you and just keep being your awesome self
Dude, straight up!! My Steam wishlist is out of control because of Splat haha. I was lucky enough to come across him when I was checking an indie game a while back (Westerado). I subbed right away, I liked the cut of his jib right off the bat :D
Great Vid, Very disappointing game. The atmosphere and presentation are great but after a few hours of playing I've never experienced a crafting and survival game where the two genres actively ruined the point of the others existence like this. It could be a neat horror/survival sim OR a cool crafter/exploration game but for now it's just a boring horror game being interrupted by a frustrating crafting system that itself is being interrupted by a constant stream of mobs that spawn in to waste your time; preventing you from completing your personal goals but without adding any tension, excitement or challenge. Personally I'd love to see the viking crafting/combat expanded on and the horror/survival code and assets removed and made into a separate game/project in the future; there might even be two great games here if both different styles could just get out of each others way and develop as their own entities instead of being jammed haphazardly into one package.
Splatty has good real life survival skills. I mean man if you are lost in a dense forest or something you gotta go follow a body of water, thats like basic real life survival skills
I would've probably tried to climb a tree to get a greater vantage point, end up falling and breaking my neck XD On the plus side I wouldn't have to deal with surviving in a dense forest :P
