Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it! I have always wanted to ski Taos! Undoubtably the best looking skiing in the Southwest!

@@cascadetele Right on! It takes a little longer for things to fill in here with Feb March usually the best. Taos has a vibe all its own. Great tele scene. I hope some year to make it out to your Rise of Tele event in PNW. May it grow and grow! I have a friend with two kids ready to put on tele boots for the first time this winter--exciting times! 🏔️🐏✌🏾

I bought some double leather boots by Kastinger from Austria in 1978 and Bonna 205cm. Never went back. I patrolled in downhill gear, but tele'd on my time off. Had some Rossi racing tele's in 88 that really edged. Nothing like today's gear. Some set ups now are too wide in my opinion. You catch an uphill edge in the transition to the new turn if they are wide. wider tele technique involves lifting up the following ski to enter it into the new turn. Narrow skis can shuffle a bit more.

Loved the video , but i cannot believe you talked about local equipment and didn’t mention the OG, K2. They had a tele specific collection for years. Their motto was “if it was easy, it’d be called snowboarding” or close to that

Thanks for watching, and commenting! I have been a long time lover of K2 skis, but have fallen out of sync with them since they started building them in China. My last loved pair of K2s was the Pinnacle 95, a pair I plan to ride some this winter! I wasn't a fan of the Mindbenders when I tried them on alpine, although I think I was on a cursed pair. I am certainly interested in trying some more K2s soon! (HOPEFULLY THEY RELEASE A NEW TELE COLLECTION!)

Owned and enjoyed many of them: Piste Stinx, Work Stinx, World Piste, Wayback and Backlash! But yeah, then they kinda' lost their way and I switched to BD and now Voile.
