My internal medicine rotation was in a town that had a medical school.. we saw a couple students coming in for anxiety. As well as one PA student. I’m in PA school so I was completely understanding what she was going through.
Med school is inherently stressful. It has to be, unless you want it to be 10 years long. But Shaun is rocking it these days, and as someone a few years ahead of him, it is all worth it in the end.

One tip, don't let other ppl get you down because ppl will try their damn hardest to make you miserable like they are, because it gets ROUGH. Ppl will be so stressed that they may let out their frustrations on you -- don't let em!! Find ways to mentally take care of yourself, because once you let that time go to squeeze in some more study time, it'll make you more anxious in the future. Thank you so much for that. You are right. I know this stigma amoungst Medical Students. I think the self-awareness is an important first step. I am going to study my butt off but I am going to also make sure I am happy doing it. Because otherwise, what's the point? So taking care of yourself is very important. Thank you for that advice. I think you will find that the med schools that offer all this pay for it via increased tuition fees. None of it is free, you are paying for it, just not right now.

That's really cool about the first exam being a "trial run" so to speak. I think most schools should apply that for first year students -- at least allow us to have a shot at figuring out what works and what doesnt lol
That is really what I have loved about my school so far. I haven’t even started and they are already showing so much love and compassion for us students. They are reassuring us and making us feel confident about starting school! I do agree more schools should do this!

OMG...The ASMR scenes had me rolling. When the GF whispered "Hello guys welcome to my ASMR" as he is unwrapping his Apple pencil I just about lost it. Starting M1 orientation on 7/27! Watching your videos has made it all really sink in! We’re doing small groups for orientation as well and no guests at White Coat Ceremony 🥺 School has yet to officially say if we’re gonna do things in person/online yet. Good luck!!

Shaun Andersen, ADMITTED Medical Student! It’s not a huge class size but we’re in a state with pretty strict rules so who knows. The college said in person earlier this summer, but then the June-July spike happened 🤷🏼♀️ I guess we’ll just have to see!

Just completed my undergraduate program in med school last year. I miss those days when you could do blunders, create a ruckus and still escape. I remember getting nothing from our college while joining but on the other hand, we used to pay USD 14.41 annually for our college fees. But I find being an intern is the best time in your med life( which I can't enjoy much due to the ongoing pandemic 😅)

I study in Europe and they did give us macbook during registration...and some of my friends received ipad from their unis...I guess it depends on your uni then

So I've actually been trying to get into medical school for the longest while and I've faced soo many set backs ( as everyone I guess ) but recently covid has paused all my applications / scholarship plans because of borders being closed etc and some of the schools even sent out rejection letters which I think is unfair because were in a pandemic and they said they'd work with the applicants to get through it as best as they could so I'm bummed that I'm being judged on an incomplete application. I also had to leave my old school which had a combined pre med'/ med program because of some internal administrative issues within the school. Anyway I said all of that to say I have felt really burnt out with all the blocks and decided to take a step back from the " fight " and even medical school related videos. However this showed up in my recommendations and I'm so happy it did . You have such a joy, enthusiasm and optimism about you that's really inspiring. You kind of remind me of me ( you know when I'm not burnt out and my mental health isn't compete crap haha). I always end my application essays with " I bring to you my optimism that's been tested and tried but continues to pervade " and you've helped to reminde of that optism.Dudee you don't know how much you've inspired me . Keep it up bro ! I subbed , turned on post motivations, followed on IG and the whole deal. Sorry if this is so long hahaha. Keep inspiring bro ! ❤

Medical school is a rollercoaster ride. Amazing some times, absolutely terrible at others. Just keep pushing through the hard times. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel... I think 🤣 I’m halfway there lol.

Also, hint! Use the Classic and not the Cardio stethoscope for your first two years or so. With the cardio you can hear a bunch of extra sounds which may confuse you when you're starting out, and most sounds it picks up, you won't truly learn how to listen to right off the bat either, so it acts a lot like static so to speak, or interference as you try to listen for the stuff you're learning to listen to!

Our school gave us an iPad and other med equipment but when we got our tuition breakdown it was over $2000 set aside for inflated costs of these products...but congratulations!!!! I recently started med school as well and that chair is going to be gold since you usually have class at least have of the day! =]

This is a new med school started in 2014😂😂... They're most likely doing all this and giving this stuff to showcase their school and get more people intrested especially by giving this stuff to someone in RUclips... Not hating on anyone or anything but those of you who are planning to apply to med school please don't take stuff like this into consideration 😂 look more into how old the school is, the patient load and the staff/ faculty present, this looks so much like a way to get young kids to jump into their truck just cause they give away fancy candy 😂.... But anyways all the best through your journey mate!
Hey man! I'm so sorry if I gave the wrong impression of my school. They are in no way giving us this stuff to "showcase" the school, nor is this an isolated welcome gift. Every single student in my class received it as well as the classes before us. In fact, even the 4th year students tell us that the school continues to treat them just as well as when they started school. They do not know about my RUclips so there was no incentive there. My school may have opened in 2014 however it is under the same System of Higher Education as another school in my state which has been around for 50+ years. Also, they are in-state driven and prefer students from Nevada so there is no need for them to be advertising to out of state students. In fact, they received 1850+ applications during this last cycle so they are definitely getting enough applications. I just was to reaffirm that this video was just me opening the welcome package I received from the school just to continue to share my experiences. There was no incentive for the school. I hope this clarifies things.

Med schools in India have annual tuition fees the cost of that iPad pro. So no expectations there. 😅

I’m only 14 and I’ve already made up my mind to become a doctor . While watching this I realized I literally live kind of right by unlv

OMG...The ASMR scenes had me rolling. When the GF whispered "Hello guys welcome to my ASMR" as he is unwrapping his Apple pencil I just about lost it. And then Shaun unwrapping the way he did on purpose, 🤣😂🤣 That made my day!!!! I have subscribed and turned on notifications for this channel. I like how real this is. I have no idea why we were having so much fun with the ASMR scenes 😂 unboxing everything was just so much fun! We honestly both just love making anything and everything as fun as possible! Shaun Andersen, ADMITTED Medical Student! It’s not a huge class size but we’re in a state with pretty strict rules so who knows. The college said in person earlier this summer, but then the June-July spike happened 🤷🏼♀️ I guess we’ll just have to see!

Just completed my undergraduate program in med school last year. I miss those days when you could do blunders, create a ruckus and still escape.
I remember getting nothing from our college while joining but on the other hand, we used to pay USD 14.41 annually for our college fees.
But I find being an intern is the best time in your med life( which I can't enjoy much due to the ongoing pandemic 😅)

Most med programs in the US cost hundreds of thousands of dollars... they paid for these “gifts” and then some, have no doubt :)
I study in Europe and they did give us macbook during registration...and some of my friends received ipad from their unis...I guess it depends on your uni then
I have been going back and forth between Nursing and a doctor but recently I’ve been watching so many doctor videos and ugh I think it’s coming back to me and I think I want to be a doctor 🥺.

So I've actually been trying to get into medical school for the longest while and I've faced soo many set backs ( as everyone I guess ) but recently covid has paused all my applications / scholarship plans because of borders being closed etc and some of the schools even sent out rejection letters which I think is unfair because were in a pandemic and they said they'd work with the applicants to get through it as best as they could so I'm bummed that I'm being judged on an incomplete application. I also had to leave my old school which had a combined pre med'/ med program because of some internal administrative issues within the school. Anyway I said all of that to say I have felt really burnt out with all the blocks and decided to take a step back from the " fight " and even medical school related videos. However this showed up in my recommendations and I'm so happy it did . You have such a joy, enthusiasm and optimism about you that's really inspiring. You kind of remind me of me ( you know when I'm not burnt out and my mental health isn't compete crap haha). I always end my application essays with " I bring to you my optimism that's been tested and tried but continues to pervade " and you've helped to reminde of that optism.Dudee you don't know how much you've inspired me . Keep it up bro ! I subbed , turned on post motivations, followed on IG and the whole deal. Sorry if this is so long hahaha. Keep inspiring bro ! ❤

I confess to watching this video entirely too much! If i need motivation or just something relaxing and I don’t know what to watch - i put it on. Man I don’t wanna sound greedy or anything, bro I can barely pay for the food on my table, I’m in undergrad right now but I pray I can be blessed with an admission to a medical school, as well as a laptop or iPad of some kind. No way I can afford all of that without a horrible amount of debt
I believe in you! Just keep working hard. I know the loans and debt can be intimidating but you will push through it if you want to be a doctor!

I’m pretty sure you’re being charged for that iPad through your tuition. Like medical schools say that they are free but they charge you for it.
Possibly, but it doesn’t specifically say “iPad Fee” on the tuition so it is much more fun to believe it is a sweet gift! :)

Also, hint! Use the Classic and not the Cardio stethoscope for your first two years or so. With the cardio you can hear a bunch of extra sounds which may confuse you when you're starting out, and most sounds it picks up, you won't truly learn how to listen to right off the bat either, so it acts a lot like static so to speak, or interference as you try to listen for the stuff you're learning to listen to!

Our school gave us an iPad and other med equipment but when we got our tuition breakdown it was over $2000 set aside for inflated costs of these products...but congratulations!!!! I recently started med school as well and that chair is going to be gold since you usually have class at least have of the day! =]

This is a new med school started in 2014😂😂... They're most likely doing all this and giving this stuff to showcase their school and get more people intrested especially by giving this stuff to someone in RUclips... Not hating on anyone or anything but those of you who are planning to apply to med school please don't take stuff like this into consideration 😂 look more into how old the school is, the patient load and the staff/ faculty present, this looks so much like a way to get young kids to jump into their truck just cause they give away fancy candy 😂.... But anyways all the best through your journey mate!
Hey man! I'm so sorry if I gave the wrong impression of my school. They are in no way giving us this stuff to "showcase" the school, nor is this an isolated welcome gift. Every single student in my class received it as well as the classes before us. In fact, even the 4th year students tell us that the school continues to treat them just as well as when they started school. They do not know about my RUclips so there was no incentive there. My school may have opened in 2014 however it is under the same System of Higher Education as another school in my state which has been around for 50+ years. Also, they are in-state driven and prefer students from Nevada so there is no need for them to be advertising to out of state students. In fact, they received 1850+ applications during this last cycle so they are definitely getting enough applications.
I just was to reaffirm that this video was just me opening the welcome package I received from the school just to continue to share my experiences. There was no incentive for the school. I hope this clarifies things.
