In Ghost of tsushima the main character is using what would eventually be known as Ninjutsu, a concept, that in his time, had not yet fully been conceptualized, only starting to take root in the mainland.
They certainly were invented, katanas had already been a thing for hundreds of years. The game is only inaccurate to the fact, that everything in the game (armour, clothing, weapons) is from 100 years after the game is set.

Jin is basically the definition of 'shinobi', several years before actual, properly defined 'shinobi' showed up in the Mainland.
Adachi and Shimura are probably the perfect examples of why the Khan was right. You can pretty easily exploit the Samurai and their bond to honor. It's actually pretty suprising that Shimura survived as long as he did.
Jin on the other hand. He's aggressive, quick on his feet and overall unpredictable. No studying in the world can prepare you for a broken man that lost everything.
Man, I sure as shit can't wait for a sequel to this masterpiece of a game
Jin even observes mongol leaders and how they fight in order to develop swordsmanship to better counter them in combat. He truly pulls out all the stops for the people, and the samurai won't give him shit because he values actual results and lives protected over suicidal posturing.

It’s also because the Khan extensively studied their culture and ways which is why he was able to exploit it so easily. Even in the open battle the samurai got decimated with literally only 2 of the 80 Samurai surviving. The “ghost” was something the Khan hadn’t prepared for which is why Jin becomes single-handedly the most effective person against the entire mongol force. But to the Khans credit he was able to capitalize on the poison fairly quickly so he was adapting but not as fast as Jin was adapting
there is no honor in war, look at our boy adachi died because of it. Ghost is the best

They advantage is quantity so it's alright to have no honor in killing them. The main thing is the honor when fighting khotun khan
A wise samurai once said "There's no dishonorable way, just kill them".
The first scene is easily his most badass moment ever.

Khan was right. Samurai are bound to a code, and you can take advantage of that.
But Jin, has no code he follows, and no rules. And that’s why he was able to kill Khan.
He does have a code, but it is not bushido. Ghost's code is to protect his people at whatever personal cost he has to pay.
You can have a code, but you can’t be blind for it. You have to be able to do whatever is necessary to protect your people, even if it crosses with your creed.
He was able to kill The Khan also by surprise. The Mongols expected samurai come all the time. But Jin gave them a sword in the back, a poison in the neck and ambushes all around.
This game was so good but I wish there was more cool cutscenes of Jin being the ghost and being in the shadows.
You do that yourself, that’s the point of it being a game not a movie.
I’m sure they’re going to do more in the sequel since he’s officially The Ghost of Tsushima

Imo the SPARE option was way more badass because he says he has no more honor left and even puts on the mask, indicating that he has truly been consumed by the ghost.
exactly. Sparing your uncle is the less honorable thing to do so it just shows how jin has fully become the ghost after that
I suppose it's a matter of perspective. In my eyes, Lord Shimura's idea of Honor isn't honorable. He suffered massive losses in manpower not once, but twice. A total loss at Komoda, and a devastating blow at Castle Shimura on that bridge. How does he respond? He planned to throw away more lives in a foolish plan to do the exact same thing. It's not the he doesn't learn, it's that he refuses to. However, he is the best hope for Tsushima in the long run. New samurai are coming, and someone will have to lead them. Killing Shimura may be honorable for him, but it's a waste for Tsushima as a whole. I can't think of anything more dishonorable than depriving Tsushima of it's best hope for a leader. The Ghost will work from the shadows, keeping people safe when the samurai can't. Lord Shimura will keep Tsushima together, weather he wants to or not.

The honorable ending is really just for redeeming the relation you have with Shimura, but in the grand scheme of things would likely do more harm then good. The Spare one makes sure he remains hateful of Jin, but his continued living benefits Tsushima as whole.
Sucker Punch said "Spare" is the cannon option.

What could you do for a sequel ? I mean we could go to the main land with Yuna but to do what ?

No this is fine as is. This was a great story and dragging it on will most likely do nothing but hurt it.

Exactly. What makes it so powerful to me is that he is not self aggrandizing, he is inspiring others to greatness. Showing them they can be so much more then they believe they are. The trait of a real leader.

In Act 1-2 when Jin fought all those Mongols & help other people, especially in Yarikawa, I was quite surprised that he would still push people to pledge loyalty to Lord Shimura (and not for ‘him’ as the samurai or the ghost). That’s so…selfless.
At that time I thought the citizens would probably respect him much more than Lord Shimura, because they can see that the samurai strategy failed them. Especially after what happened on Komoda beach, people had to defend themselves from bandits and mongol. Plus, who actually showed up on the streets, liberate farmstead & rescue hostage? Jin. Not Lord Shimura nor his army (it would be nice though if I can cross path with Lord Shimura’s men when liberating areas).
No wonder people flock to Jin’s cause by the end of the game.

yes. it was also confusing for me when Shimura said that Jin was teaching people to disobey their leaders, how r they gnna be *fully* loyal to u knowing that ur first priority is not their protection but ur position of power? jin knew what honor meant for himself, he just didn’t stick to the definition shimura had alr built for honor, and that’s why the old man got mad

I would like to add that Shogun is oblivious to the main threat of the Mongol Invasion of Tsushima. He saw The Ghost, one person, being the greater enemy than an army of an empire, unlike the bandits or raiders.
as a native speaker i'd rate you use of it as a five out of ten, you missed a few areas that needed plurals and comma's (this symbol ,) but other than those you did pretty good.
Don't worry too much about it though, even native english speakers have trouble with it

The mission you unlock Ghost Stance, i made sure to keep that save, so i can go back to redo that mission whenever i want, it's just too awesome to only do ones.
(not counting making a new save)

@@extraordinarygamer937 I played both games and I found GOW more fun. rdr2 had an amazing story but it’s downfall was it was way too long, the map was huge and it meant you have to spend so much time on your horse and there were a lot of the missions where you have to follow and right there’s dialogue in these but in the beginning of the game I don’t know the characters and the prologue was too long and I hated the hunting system. But in the later chapters when I know the characters much better and I love the camp there’s so much life in it each character had their own story the acting was amazing, the last 2 chapters were shocking and sad, The graphics were amazing in both GOW and rdr2. The online in rdr2 was shit, but everyone has their own opinion, we shouldn’t fight over games.
@@mustfagamer1552 true, RDR2 had one of the most brilliant stories and cast of characters in any medium. But as a game GOT and GOW were better games because they were fun to play and enjoy the combat. The best part of RDR2 gameplay was its deep and dynamic open world

It’s when a character has 28 minutes and 50 seconds of being a badass that you know it’s a good fucking character.
You know ... few people talk about those parts when he remembers his mom, and his childhood. I never saw that one coming, it was so heartbreaking, made me tear up. Sucker Punch indeed.

This game is literally Japanese Assassin's Creed, so Jin joining the Assassin's Brotherhood would actually make sense

Anyone else play this game with the mask option turned on? I feel like whenever Jin is wearing the ghost armour he’s almost always wearing it.. I dunno maybe my ocd is just going off
I turned it off and on throughout the game. I feel like only Jin's enemies deserve to see him like that. His allies deserve to know the man behind the mask.

More games should have a "Lethal" style difficulty. That really was a nice touch for all us hardcore open world fans. I much prefer realism games over stat-based damage sponge games.

Lord Shimura got defeated, captured and then saved by Jin just to make the same pointless argument about honour that got the first dude killed at the beach and himself captured in the first place 😂 No video game character pisses me off more than Shimura

I know I’m months late but;
At a certain point in the story you unlock the Ghost Stance and with it the ability to “Slaughter” Mongol leaders. What you saw there was Jin performing Slaughter, which itself is the way you stealth kill Mongol leaders after unlocking the Ghost Stance. Doing so immediately maxes out the Ghost Stance meter so you are able to activate it straight after.
Wow dude the khan was smart, he exploited the Samurai’s code of honor but he lost cause Jin didn’t follow that code, kinda.
