My grandfather was member of Marine-Brigade Ehrhardt. He fought against the Bolsheviks in the Baltic States.
Great video. I'm Colombian and huge fan of German history. Usually, we just learn about ww2 but I always felt an interest for the Prussian style that ruled Germany before ww2 and influenced my country. Anyway, I already subscribed and hope to see more videos of people like Ehrhardt and the Freikorps.

Good video. Do you know if Ernst von Solomon's book "The Outlaws" is based on real events or is it fictional?
It's an auto-biography that von Solomon "presents" as fictional because, when he wrote it and was still alive, it could legally be considered a confession and he could have still been prosecuted for his deeds. It's authentic.

Thanks for these historical profiles. There is so much to learn from history but man never learns from history. Would I be wrong to assume that Hermann Ehrhardt, like many young men of that era, was a moral man but was attracted to the NAZI party as it was his best chance for success? If true, what a tragedy. The whole world is getting like that now: one must embrace evil to succeed.
