    DIY Detail Rinseless Wash. Yes. ❤ I pretty much solely do this for my weekly washes unless my car absolutely needs the pressure washer and cannon. Its faster, uses less water, and smells heavenly.
    Recently started using ADS Amplify as drying aid. Love it and DIY Ceramic Gloss but amplify is cheaper

    Pan, this is a great advanced starter kit. I love CarPro Reset and DIY Incredible Suds for car wash soaps. For foaming, I often use Incredible Suds, CarPro Lift and Adams Mega Foam. P&S Brakebuster is an incredible product - it is probably one of the top products that I am happy that you reviewed and recommended for all of us. CarPro Darkside is the best tire dressing - another top notch recommendation from you. The only product that I have yet to really find that consistently works is a drying aide. P&S Bead Maker is fine, but it does create a bit of dust. I have tried multiple products, but have yet to settle on one that I feel always works.
    Even the tools you have reviewed and recommended such as the Kranzle pressure washer, MJCC foam cannon, microfiber towels, etc. It is a pleasure to watch your videos as it personally has given me the confidence to buy and use the products. Can’t thank you enough for all of the entertainment and advice. Superb sir!

    I'm somewhat freaking out right now. Yesterday, I took my new BMW in for its very first 1-year service. I forgot to tell them NOT to wash the car. Over the last 12 months, I have religiously followed Pan's videos and only washed the car by hand with all the recommend methods. Imagine my shock when I saw that the BMW dealer used one of those automatic car washes with big cloth strips. I feel traumatized and still can't look at the car to see if that did any damage. (edit: just went to my garage and looked really closely.... didn't seem to have any scratches that I could detect) 😭😭😭

    Do you still like to use brake buster on your tires for washes between dark side applications or do you skip tires?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 месяцев назад

      I still use Brake Buster. But often, with DarkSide, you'll find that all you need is a soapy solution with a quality soap like CarPro Reset. CarPro themselves recommend it for maintenance of tires protected with DarkSide.
      So in your wheel bucket, suds up some Reset, and use that with your tire brush, and that should clean the tires easily. If you need more "bite", then you can use a tire cleaner.

    I switched DarkSide with Fireball Tire (SiO2 Satin). Give me a little better sheen while not being too gloss. Then you can choose the Gloss version to be just like DarkSide or go with Janus which is crazy glossy.

  • @Mr.El_Guapo
    @Mr.El_Guapo 8 месяцев назад

    While I’m here, I stand by my claim, you should test FireBall Pirouette, much better alternative than CarPro Reload in my opinion. I’ve seen better longevity with Saguenay winters, in the summer it gave me great gloss great performance, application is easier (don’t have to do 3 towel method like Reload alot of times) and feels like the beeding is tighter (now this is not side by side comparison so it could be the same beeding). Pirouette also has 31% SiO2 while Reload has 5% so it could be all because of that.

    Hey Pan - Fellow 🇨🇦 here. Suggesting you give 3D GLW Series SiO2 Ceramic Matte Tire dressing a try. I’ve gone through many dressings over the years and evolved from the super gloss glaze types to graphene formulations and eventually settled into CarPro DarkSide for all the reasons you have. But I recently tried that 3D product. Amazing. Just slightly more on the matte spectrum than CarPro (which I actually prefer - really does look like a brand new tire). No slinging if allowed a bit of time to dry (like CarPro). Perhaps something to consider in a future video… eh? 😉 Cheers.

    Pan Is Darkside an solvent or silicone based dressing?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  4 месяца назад

      Pretty much all tire dressings contain silicones. They wouldn’t last more than a day or two if they didn’t have silicones.
      So you’re likely asking if it’s a water based dressing or solvent based. CarPro doesn’t say.
      But they do say it’s a polydimethylsiloxane formula (a silicone oil). So if I had to guess, it’s solvent based, as those tend to last way longer compared to water based dressings.

    Hello, I've thought about buying CarPro Descale. But i've heard that it removes the coating on the car. Is that right? Does it harm the coating?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 месяцев назад

      That is absolutely incorrect. Descale was developed to remove mineral deposits and limescale from coatings and helps to rejuvenate coatings by unclogging them.
      You wouldn’t use it on a weekly basis for regular washes obviously. They have CarPro Reset for regular washes. Descale is used once in a while when needed.
      So it won’t harm ceramic coatings, but it could strip older waxes or sealants.
      To see it in action and mearn everything about it, watch a video wheee I used it on my own ceramic coated vehicle many times including in my ultimate spring deep cleaning tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/oTaFE_p2OAw/видео.htmlsi=ubdhhxg4hgi1S41u

    Man, I know that it might be a dumb question, but I really cant find abywhere what it is that you mean by marring the paint? Is that the little swirls that you can cause in the clear coat of car if you put too much pressure/drag dirt over paint? Or is it something else

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  8 месяцев назад

      Marring is the microscratches (that we call "love marks") that usually come from the hand wash stage or the towel drying stage. Basically anytime there's friction on the paint, you have a chance to leave behind microscratches if you don't use safe washing and drying methods. Good shampoos with great lubricity during the hand wash, and use a drying aid (quick detailer) when towel drying. The drying aid will act as a buffer/lubricant between the towel and the paint, thus reducing the chances of marring.

    Hey Pan - does brake buster wear down more modern siO2 spray sealants?

      Not in my testing over the years. I have coated wheels and often use Brake Buster and never had issues. My friend Matt from Obsessed Garage also uses Brake Buster on a weekly basis to clean the coated wheels of his cars and never had issues.
      Now, that's assuming you have a proper wheel coating (the ones in a glass bottle like Armour Detail Supply Wheel Coating). For ceramic sprays, you'd have to test and see. I haven't looked into that, as sprays are quick and easy to reapply should you see a drop in hydrophobic performance.

      Not many products have antistatic properties, and I haven't heard of tire dressings that repel dust unfortunately. I don't have gravel roads where I live so I have no such issues. What DarkSide is great at is self-cleaning properties.
      So the tire will stay cleaner for longer and be much easier to clean during your maintenance washes. Kind of what a coating does on paint. But as far as dust is concerned, there are no miracle solutions that I know unfortunately.

      Impossible to say as there are too many factors that influence price. The amount of work needed, your budget, desired results, experience level of the detailer, quality of products used, and perhaps most importantly, location. Prices vary greatly from one country to another, even one state to another in the same country, and even from one city to another. Your best bet is to go see a reputable pro detailer near you and have him assess your vehicle.
