    You made such an enormous progress in filming and cutting the sequences together. Very impressive! I think you are the best now on internet when talking about wheels. When it comes to the Z10, I really wanted it until I lifted it up! Just too heavy. I continue on my V10F for a while. And when I will change, I will definitely watch your WEB, unless Brexit is screwing it up... Best wishes from France

    My first e wheel was a ninebot one S2 and I rode it for 1800 km. I loved it. Then I bought the Z10 and loved it a lot more. It felt to me a lot more powerful and stable.
    One day, when I was used to my new Z10 with may be 200 km, I took my ONE S2 and almost could'nt ride it! It seemed to me so tiny, soft and unstable... so I knew I would ride only my Z10 from then on. I sold my ONE S2.

    A very detailed and unbiased review. My friend has wanted the Z10 ever since he started seeing me ride my V10 but doesn't realise that each wheel exhibits different behaviour and the experience isn't formulaic like a skateboard or scooter.
    It's made me realise how beneficial a test drive or consultation service would be to new riders. Once PEV's get legalised in the UK (fingers crossed) and more popular there will be a lot of new riders who'd want comprehensive and personalised guidance from an Official Seller rather than rely on popular opinions at group rides or youtube videos.
    It may be worth a thought for you lovely people at Speedyfeet! 😊 I know I would have paid to receive bespoke wheel guidance before venturing into the unknown! Even if it meant travelling all the way to Gloucester 😆

    The Z is not compatible with other wheels, it creates a centrical force that keeps it upright and makes it extremely stable platform at speed and the most maneuverable wheel when going slow. Riders that come from other wheels take quite a while to get used to and trust the Z 10. Once you bond with this wheel you will learn that it never lets you down it’s like a rock or a sailboat with a deep keel it will always find its way and take care of you.

    A sound and fair appraisal. Admittedly I'm an urban rider, but towpaths and mixed terrain cycle paths are part of the mix as well. Even the roads of Bath where I live can be very iffy indeed with adverse cambers on steep ascents/descents. I struggled at first, but each week that goes by I love it more! I ride differently now to the wheel I started with... more 'pro-actively' I guess, and the Z10 appreciates this. Keeping one leg locked to the side of the wheel and using the other leg as a sort of 'outrigger' allows more control over the wheel's twitchiness. Things that jarred me before now don't nearly as much. I'm not even phased by the tramlining effect as much as I was, but it never disappears. It IS a permanent and unavoidable characteristic of the wheel, and this needs to be born in mind prior to purchase.

    Awesome review, as a Z10 owner, I can totally relate to everything you are speaking of. The only reason why I "tolerate" many of the shortcomings of this product is simply the pneumatic tire. Given my weight (250lbs) my biggest fear is having a inner tube blowout turning my tire into a slug sending me to my doom. The chances of a sudden blowout on the Z10 is slim to none sans running over shrapnel or something. Once another company releases a solid rubber or pneumatic tire.. I'm on it!

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  4 года назад

      Thanks for watching Richard! Yeah a blow out does seem very remote, its one strong tire. Would have to be a hefty crash or like you say shrapnel / glass with a big slice.

    I currently have a Ninebot One E+ and wondering about this one, so very interested in the next vid. Is 1000KM a specific line for EUC's? And is there somewhere a comparison or review on a One E+ because I have no idea how that wheel relates to other wheels currently on the market

  • @chrisrathjan1501

    Totally agree. I had a little bit of a go at one. I didn't understand it. Wouldn't turn. It didn't feel playful at all. A different beast for sure. I wanted to like it. I had come from GW wheel and had ridden a KS18L prior.

  • @AlbertVicol

    Bit higher pedals and more battery would make it best for me. I still enjoy it non the less. Looking at other wheels taken apart I can definitely say this one will have no water issues . I have no Issues driving in shitty Oslo roads. As a matter of fact it passes over tram lines+pot(I mean them together) without any issues . Speed, I don't think you need more than 40 km/h for most rides. Range is fine but 30km extra(other wheels) is 30 km extra and you can't argue with that !
    Great review !
    PS: did try 18Xl , MSX, 10F .
    Edit: And if you do crash, at least you do it in style lol !( best looking wheel period, 16x being second I think )

    it's more fun to "try" to learn all the ways that you need to ride this little beast. I've been using it for more that 1.600 km's and for the last 500 i've figured out how to manage it in high speeds and how to avoid train-railing with almost 50% success. It's fun trying to figure all this things! :D

    Polarizing review for sure. I do totally agree with you regarding braking - scary going down steep inclines which I now avoid. But isn't the Z10 one of the funnest low speed turning wheels (doing endless tight little 360's, etc.) around?
    That intro with the exploding Z10 was hilarious :-)

    It seems to me that this is really a matter of right/wrong tool for the job: Ian, you ride quite a bit off-road (presuming this is somewhat influenced by the fact that it's technically illegal to ride EUCs on-road in the UK) and thus you don't care for the Z10's ride characteristics on unpredictable trail surfaces as well as the less powerful downhill braking. Whereas Hsiang and RoberAce, who live in cities where it's legal to ride on-road, learned to love the Z10 once they got used to the more motorcycle-like lean-to-turn characteristics. Personally, I think your review would be more positive and a bit less biased if you just resolved that it's not a great off-road wheel and only focused on what its like to ride on-road once you've really mastered its unique riding/turning style. This might be at the crux of the arguments: right tool for the right job -- if you want off-road capability, buy an MCM5 or 16X; if you're an advanced rider, who rides ON-ROAD, and wants the unique challenge of learning the lean-to-turn style of riding, and of course willing to deal with the less-than-desirable warranty and service issues, then a Z10 could in fact be a very satisfying experience.

Behind me is about 1800km, it was my first wheel, many people share ur opinion, but I had have never notice that behavior. Maybe is just ur lack of proper riding skill on Z10 because u prefer EUC with thinner wheel?

    Hello EUC fans! Me personally hate tilts back, had that couple times when wheel drop me back but never face plant, I ride Z10 so far. I like forest mtb tracks the most, after couple downhill rides with many harder brakes wheel is overloaded and gives a tilts back as result of sudden power cut off.
    It stops me from going more aggressively, simply wanna come back home in one piece.
    What EUC in your opinion is the strongest in case of tilts back, breaking, overloading?
    Please give a shout!
    Hope one day you will come southeast, seven sister country park etc. we have massive tracks along cliffs or calm rides along seafront. I call every UK EUC rider to come! The quickest connection from London to the beach is EASTBOURNE by train.

    your 100% correct if you want off road capability you will need to lower the tire pressure for more stability i tried to ride off road with the tire pressure i use for maximum road distance and it scared the crap out of me. After using this wheel for 170 miles i realize why this wheel has these steering characteristics this wheel is really designed to go under 15 mph thats why you get the farthest distance at that speed and of course it is capable of going faster but in a straight line for getting around vehicles or pedestrians then go back to a slow pace. the wheel size is deigned to maneuver at low speeds it all makes since.

      You can make at least same sharpness turns as any other wheel at any speed if you know how. You just need figure out the controls instead of trying to force/fight the wheel. It's completely different riding style and you don't need to clamp it even on offroad. Once you get used to it, it turns on a dime and is very predictable, stable and solid wheel. I have tried MSX, 18L/XL, 16X. Z10 still my favorite wheel, although I am going to buy 16x for more range and a little similar riding style to Z10. It's a matter of taste, but it's an awesome wheel for all speeds and all terrains. There's the Z10 and then all the other wheels :)

      Algirdas Lubys I I am waiting on my Z10, should be here next Friday. It’s going to be my first wheel. I hope I get up to speed without scuffing it up too much. I figured instead of buying the ninebot one S or E2 etc to learn on, I’d skip a step and get to the real deal. I would think that the way people describe this wheel as being very stable at speed would make it safer for beginners.

      @@jacobkeller29 sort of.. it still has wobbles at speed if you dont put feet properly on the pads. My advice is to get yourself a portable bicycle pump(with an extension) and let some of the air out so it wont respond so quickly then as you learn how to get on and off raise the tire pressure to get better distance and handling performance. I will say this when i bought mine they disconnected the battery for shipping dont worry though it comes with the tool necessary to get in the battery compartment and connect the proper components.

    I´ve had Gotway msuper v3+ and did not like it, sold it and bought the Z10 and love it! I think "Rober Ace" on RUclips did 10.000 km on his Z10! I run it at 28 psi, tried 40 psi and it was horrible. Probably gonna get the Kingsong 16X, just because i like EUC´S :-)

      If you give us a heads up then yes this is possible, it just depends what demo units we have at the time - and that can be very hit and miss! (For example the Z10 has now gone off to Dan, MSX is gone to Pete, so we have V10F, Nikola 84v 1600wh, KS18L, MCM5, KS16S only currently).

    Seeing Hsiang and Rober Ace riding the Z10 made me realise it was the wheel for me. It’s my first EUC so I have no frame of reference, but so far I haven’t found it difficult to ride at all. Coming from motorcycles, I wanted something physical to ride, something that gave me that same sensation of hanging off the side of a motorbike. This wheel does that for me. It’s all concrete where I live so that is a plus I guess. Having said that, I did always intend to buy a second wheel at some point so that I had a choice of what to go out on, and the KS16X is next for me 🙂

    If you learned to ride an EUC on a Z then you love it and if you learned on a more traditional EUC then you'll likely hate it. Each and every review of this wheel fails to mention that. I am of the former so I love mine. Feels like riding a sports bike to me. Good review though for the most part.

      @Speedyfeetuk  4 года назад

      Hence my EXACT comment about the fact if this is your first wheel or only wheel its likely that you will love it or if you are a single terrain person you are likely to love it to (and the reviews on our site prove this). Thanks for watching dude!

    In the moment that you say that you ise the wheel with maximum pressure and you say that is better to reduce the wheel to tilt to one of the sides and the way that you ride this compressing the wheel against your legs.. I just have to say like i said in my review.. LACK OF EXPERIENCE.

      @@Speedyfeetuk my answer is once again lack of experience and lack of flexibility to understand that this wheel has a completely different approach when we talk about riding. I have 2000 miles in mine and is super rare to push ne to one of the sides. And i had that with high psi and when you say in the video that the wheel is better with higher psi.. Shows how bad is your feedback about the z10

    • @Speedyfeetuk
      @Speedyfeetuk  4 года назад +1

      Ok, dude, but its not ‘LACK OF EXPERIENCE’. Happy to take you out on some trails and demonstrate where the Z10 acts in the exact honest way I described in the video, and happy to pitch it up against a MSX in a head to head. Happy to film the whole thing and do a video challenge on A-B riding. Its not a lack of experience, its a reality when going head to head. But, wont be arguing about it in the comments section on youtube, happy to challenge any errr (for want of a better word) ‘pro’ rider on a Z10 on all the terrains discussed to demonstrate the reality.
