FYI - you can try to take the radiator from the top just be careful with the ac lines. If you're having trouble removing it from the top like we did. We just showed another way of doing it which was removing the radiator from the bottom. Few more bolts but super easy to remove.
Nothing better than a wise Mexican mechanic. I saw a dealership mechanic doing this job in the previous video- it baffles me how they can make a simple job so complicated! They remove unnecessary parts just to upcharge you for it.
I spent a few minutes evaluating how to remove my leaking radiator from a 2017 Limited and believed I needed to go through the front. I am grateful that you provided this tutorial and this will save me some time. Thanks much.
Yeah no problem man, glad we can help. You should be able to take the radiator straight out. Im pretty sure we had a bad quality control radiator that had extras clips. So it kept getting caught on the ac lines. So we just showed another way of taking it out.
I dont know if mine being a Limited made a difference, but i had better luck taking it out from the top. Of course still had to take the top cross member off and overflow tank like you said. I did take the bottom pan off to go through the bottom But it came out through the top fairly easy. Just wanted to let you know in case it helps.
Was yours a summit 5.7 hemi? I’m so frustrated right now trying to get that top plate off. I have all 10 bolts out (had to take the horn ones off too).
Thanks for your help. It was a bitch removing it from the top. Iam glad you made this video. It saved me , moving it from the bottom. Thanks for your time !!
I just need to get the damn radiator and ac condenser apart. On the passenger side where the lines wrap around the radiator havin a tough time getting enough play to get them separated.
That bar across the front of my jeep has about 12 bolts in it and (4 are behind that plastic grill piece that is all one f-ing piece and connected to two more support struts) and the thing wouldn’t budge until I removed the horn bolts too). Maybe the summit 5.7 liter is different from yours but I SCREWED myself and wasted so much time just trying to get that top bar off.
Na bruh im doing this just rn. Took a break while the homeboy bring me the new radiator etc and well the hell i just went through to come find this video.
Yes it can be taken from the top, if you look at my pinned comment or description, I explain for anyone who has a hard time from the top, it can go through the bottom. Its 50/50 some ppl have no issues and some ppl do. My radiator would continuely get caught on the ac lines no matter how i tried to maneuver it.
It would have been helpful to see the whole process from start to finish. Now I have to find a video to see how you got to the point where you were at the start of the video. Lol
