You are the best ventriloquist I've ever seen. Your mouth literally never moves. Unreal.
Good comparison, but was really surprised you gave the alt mode to Magic Square. That's the main reason I could not buy it, the squared off front windows look awful to me.
Probably because it has less panels, making it more solid. The Newage has Transformers Universe Ironhide feels.
I agree, I have both and the newage alt mode looks so much better. Also I have issues with the MS alt mode in that the panels don't want to stay in place. Alt mode wise I really felt the newage takes it no question.
Your kids are such good sports. Love how you’ve always involved them and Mrs Skullface in the videos.
NA Bee : better headscalp; colors; materials; chest propotions and better alt mode :)
You said "I don'tcare" like 18 times and didn't make one Black Panther reference. Bro you've changed.
Lol
Just the thought of the spirits of Tyson, Ali, Marciano, De La Hoya, Pacquiao and Bald Bull uppercutting a toy's legs, lol. Quite possibly the greatest analogy ever. Kudos, sir.
I was looking forward to this one. Good review.
I think New Age’s biggest problem is that it’s trying to pack too much engineering to look like MP BB v2 than its size allows. Ironically, I feel the same problem applies to MP BB v2.
Excellent comparison, I think this is one was pretty fair in all aspects, it was a good idea setting paint as separate category, it helps the fair play.
Personal opinion, please keep it up doing awesome content!
I love your family envolvement you guys rock!
You're finally including the manipulation test! Nice.
I love that new New Age figure. Scales very well, looks the part, great articulation. Lots of panels, but it looks great. Yes, those feet could use a bit more refinement, but this thing slaughters that new MP Bee. Imagine if this was scaled up and given a few more QC passes, it'd stomp it.
Magic Square is like an incremental improvement on Flipper (in the same way that their Prime was an incremental improvement on MP10) where Newage is more in the spirit of the MP Bumblebee 2.0.
I'd've given alt. mode to Newage and articulation to MS, personally - more personality in the Newage alt. sculpt and the knee range on MS achieves more than any of Newage's articulation wins IMO.
If I were still in the legends game, I'd stick with my Flipper; buying new, MS - just more what I'd want.
In your scoring system, it is possible for A to beat B, B to beat C and for C to still beat A so I can see why people feel weird about the way you've compared the 'Bees accross two videos. Flipper vs Newage 2.0 might be an interesting comparison, still - especially for those for whom MS is not an option (e.g. on scale or material preference).
Flipper is still very very fun. It's hard to argue against its best point... simplicity.
I’d love a sit down Saturday on why you don’t collect transformers legends figures I think I have a good idea why but I’d still love a video on it
He mentioned it a couple of times I think. Basically he collects to display and in his room, legends are just too small. He is definitely a MP scale collector
@@moloko912 yea he asked would you like to see a full sit down Saturday on it. So I commented cause I definitely would like to see him talk about it
@@nylok4566 oups sorry my bad. I must have missed that part.
@@moloko912 it’s fine not everyone watch’s the entire video through. And shhh I’m actually the worst for it I’ve a terrible attention span
I can't believe how fast I'm buy these little guys almost 15 in 2,weeks love both company's works
Good comparisons video. I like the ms one overall, but that head and colour on N A pops!
The repaint Bumblebee for MS is WAYYY better. It's easily the best option for look and scale for the Legend class. Love your videos and thanks for sharing, appreciated!
From Mike Tyson to Bald Bull, that breakdown of New Age's side leg profile is one for the history books!
I think, as figures, they're equally competent but it comes down to 1. What you can forgive in terms of engineering, and 2. What type of Bee you want (Screen-accurate, or ideally-accurate: would rather a 10p% G1 accurate Bee or a figure accurate to the concept of Who and what Bee is)
I personally love the proportions and coloring of the New age better.
I completely disagree on G1 accuracy though. The richer paint scheme and thinner proportions, as well as the rounder proportions if the alt mode on Herbie are far superior
I personally have the New age Bee with the Magic Square Optimus 2 and they're great together.
Why is the Magic Square looking like Dust in costume at a Con? That face expression mac! 🤣
1000.00 dollers spent on these now I'm broke lol in just 2 weeks but that's how much I love transformers.
I’d be down for more Sit Down Saturdays regarding Legends scale figures.
FT Tesla 2.0 pre-order available all of two hours tops yesterday. Lol. $220 to start and climbing.
so I have newage bumblebee, newage jazz and magicsquare shockwave and coming in newage soundwave, will that gonna be a mess of scale/proportions? and which optimus should I get then? geez now I'm confused ahahah
Bobby, would you be able to do a vid comparing the 3 main Legends class companies when it comes to scale? New Age, Magic Square, and Iron Factory? I know you show the charts on occasion but I'd like to see how they stack up in general and how the combiners compare to each other in size. Seems like Magic Square and New Age are a bit more inconsistent in their scale in their own lines.
I’ve done one on comparing the scales with magic square and new age already. Just look through the sit down Saturday playlist :)
@@MythsAndHeroes Thanks, wasn't sure if you had one that included Iron Factory as well
I want to hear a sit down about legends ,sounds fun.
He already dis à few of them
I hear ya on how MS scores better, but consider this: the MS facesculpt is ass. Also the deco is clearly inferior. Even if it's a better constructed figure, it just doesn't have as much character, and what character it has is derp because the smushed face.
I’m starting buy Legends scale when it comes to characters that I really like, but don’t have an emotional nostalgic attachment to. New Age Shockwave will be my first Legends. And hopefully Magic Square will release a metallic version of their Legends Blaster so I can buy that. Everything else I have is MP scale.
I had a idea that im thinking of implementing myself, why not get a legends figure for every MP figure you own? Of course not buying the most expensive legends that isnt good enough, but just to have like a mini me for every bot?
Ive started to dive into legends after exclusively buying masterpiece for around 4 years. Add one in to get free shipping from TFSource and you cant go wrong. Plus dioramas take up less space!
I have the newage version and I love him, but I gotta agree with most of his points here
This is a great comparison... But the only gripe I have is the alt mode. The magic square sculpt is so whack. And yes, I have both.
The magic square has a real problem with the hips in that they are hindered going forward and out.
Awesome with as usual! Disagree with the result, but that's what's fun with these things. :)
Yeah tell us why you don't like legends 😏😏😏
He doesn't dislike legends tho •-•
Legends look great but I only have so much space to display and I like seeing detail at a distance.
interesting, I thought it would be close but the other way. tldr both great choices, can't grumble at that.
Disagree that the magic square vehicle mode looks better than new age.
That forward windshield going straight up looks like garbage.
Bobby "love nylon plastic but he just can't admit it" Face!
Respect to Diplomats, this guy knows good hip hop
Okay, what was your first TF Masterpiece toy? 3rd party?
Definitely disagree with the outcome. Both modes look way better on newage. Sure the back looks cleaner on the magic square and it's a lot less panelly, but what's the point when both look really awkward and daft. For me the newage all the way.
Lol is it weird that I own magic square, new age, and iron factory?
I buy all 3 regularly too, my IF collection is my separate "comic/modern" Legends collection.
Do you have interest in shattered glass
I am an advocate for Magic Square and their plastic but the sculpt is too dull looking for the face, feet and the car mode sux. I had to go with NA on this one simply because the car mode fits the animation better and the head sculpt feels way more accurate. I hate the kibble on the feet and the panel laden chest, but I hate it less than the doofy head sculpt of MS and the car mode. Plus I deduct points for copy cat transformation. MS needs to be better then that.
As always, I enjoy your approach to comparing figures, but I think your final score is off. You say it's 4:5, but it's actually 9:10 if you include the tied categories. This reveals that they're a lot closer.
Bobby you got old people ads on this. . . Oh no, I have old people ads. Does that mean I'm old now? Has aarp got my address now?
That plastic looks so cheap on Magic Square. That kills it for me.
Yes, I would like to hear why you don’t like Legends. Small, but still kinda pricey so might as well just collect something else that’s bigger and better is one reason why you, or anyone else wouldn’t want them.
Look at these a lot of the aesthetic problems with the new age can just be chalked up to it being an absolutely minuscule creature. I haven’t handled it so I can’t say for certain but isn’t it smaller than the original 84 toy?
Like if you take into account the context of the sizes of the figures and also the complexity of their engineering then a lot of the flaws I’d the new age version are made up for I feel. However having such complex engineering on a figure so tiny I also do not think is good. Personally I always lean more towards new age because of the differences in plastic used. Although I should state this is just from appearance as I’ve never actually handled a 3p figure at all so I’ll leave the validity of my opinions with that context in mind up in the air. Although I am also incapable of not stating my opinions on the Internet.
I forgot to conclude my point about plastic quality. Plastic quality is incredibly important to me especially with a toy because it heavily contributes to how that toy feels to handle, and if a toy feels bad to handle because of the plastic, whether or not that extends to feeling fragile, I’m much less likely to mess with a figure with terrible plastic quality than I am with good quality even if in almost every other category, the worse quality plastic one is a better product. Like the t30 jetfire/cw leader seeker mold I enjoy the transformation and size of, however the plastic is the worst I’ve ever handled on an official figure I think. And this is including Cybertron Thundercracker with plastic so thin you can see one of the pins through the solid plastic, and is also overall terrifying to handle in certain spots because of that terrible plastic. but again considering how overly complicated the new age transformation looks for the size that might make the two equal in that regard?
Back to crooked...
Haha, no, I wouldn’t want a video on why you don’t like legends (if that’s the case). I don’t think it is, you seem to appreciate them for what they are and just don’t collect them because your small figure diorama space is taken up by Star Wars
Close ones like this are basically almost a tie, especially since your alt mode to Magic Square is easy to strongly disagree with. The MS alt mode has wonky proportions, NA is much more accurate to a VW Beetle. Hands down NA takes alt mode. That alt mode to MS is a tough one to swallow.
I’m interested in why you don’t collect legends!
newage is like 8 or 10 yers old and magik square is like 15 or so (only wihtout the acne)
Writing down this comment before the end of the video, i think the price is starting to go south. Magic S Motormaster is higher than some of fanstoys previous release and the NA Is almost the same price as toyworld Devy...wich i paid around 110$ Per dual bots......just saying.
This comment again? Stop comparing magic square motormaster price with mp scale file while omitting to saying that menasor is included with him. The way you say it makes people who doesn't know that a 11cm(4inch) fig cost 130 usd which is just not true. Are you doing this on purpose? Are you a master piece collector?
Yes i am a mp collector and to this day, besides the head master, I own every Fanstoys mold and official recent mp’s.
The basic plan I had was to display FT in combined mode and the smaller one in bot and yes i think MS Motormaster is expensive. NA Constructicons is almost the same price a set of 2 that was the toyworlds a set of 2 as well sold at ToyerCity.
So the point is the price of these figures doesn’t seem to be consistent.
magic square all the way i love newage but it only looks good from one angle and the magic square feels very solid. newage is just a mini bumble bee 2.0 mp and thats not really something you want to be.
Sega Genesis for the win
I don't see how the magic square scales better. Looks way too big from here. Alt mode is trash too.
They tied for scale Bc neither scale properly.
@@MythsAndHeroes Makes sense.
Newage has way better color
