I picked these up. They're outstanding. Love the sculpt and transformation. The feet are big, the panels are a little prominent, but it is better than MP BB 2.0 to me. Upscale, add some concealing flaps and redo the feet to collapse smaller, you got a real masterpiece.

For their size i feel like the engineering is even better than the masterpiece, or at least appeal to me more. Would have benefitted if the figures are at a larger scale, i.e. more space to work with. I would be very happy if they do an MP cliffjumper inspired by this mobe (pls)

Oh My God the Feet are HUGE. Forget the side of the foot. Look at the size in General. It's like they are wearing Moon Boots.

This war they’re having is great for collectors, but sucks for each other. They damn well made sure that no one would be able to collect ones bee and the others jumper.

The size of their vehicle modes is actually very accurate since they’re supposed to be based on the Choro Q/Penny Racers toys and are actually that size with the other cars in the show, so I think their robot modes being slightly bigger makes up for it, as well as the fact that them being any smaller would make it more difficult to transform than it already is. I’d say that it’s as perfect as it gets when it gets to Legends size figures and, dare I say, better than the official Masterpiece Bumblebee’s 1.0 and 2.0. Some of the Newage and Magic Square figures are better over the other, but you cannot deny that all of their figures from both sides are basically everything that the real life 1980’s G1 toys weren’t. They are the *definition* of masterpiece when it comes to their figure manufacturing and presentation. Just send those Magic Square Optimus Prime and Megatron figures back in time to 1988 alone, and you’d be worshiped as a *god* by every single toy company. Even by 2000’s and early 2010’s standards, all of them would still be seen as black magic. We’ve come a long way since those days, and I think now we’re starting to take these figures a little too much for granted. It takes a lot of skill and time just to make a functional concept, so to see them even make it to production and retail is nothing short of amazing. The prices can be a little off sometimes, but it’s worth it if it means that they will stay that way for a very long time and are top notch quality. I also think the Legends class size figures are better overall for shelf space too in the long run, as you can collect many of them and still have a little more room to spare. They’re not giant behemoths like the MPM line, (Although a lot of figures based on that style are very great too) so it’s definitely more convenient. And even if said figures start to raise in price, I’m sure they can easily be either made again to restock or have new versions with better quality control and features, so they will never go out of style, and they’re always in demand. It’s just great stuff all around. Hasbro and Takara should be ashamed of themselves how much better most of the third party figures are honestly… I’m just glad that they rarely ever take down figures and copy products much like Nintendo does though, since they always take down things that are even completely different from what they have and free. I’m not sure if it’s because Hasbro is actually cool with that or what, but whatever it is, I’m happy that we have such an opportunity.

Looks like CJ might be the better one just on account of his backpack appears to hold in his side panels (using the car spoiler bit) where as BB seemed to be loose on the left side.

I'm actually starting to like legends toys, even though I've b een mostly accustomed to larger stuff like MP scale, and being addicted to the realism of rubber tires on figs. They'd also s cale well with those older chug combiners.

A lot of people are raving on about these 2 figures. Some points I can agree upon, like the great headsculpts, the paint and.. that's it for me. I just can't get over the panels, gaps, huge freaky looking backpack and those humongous feet. Don't like how low the shoulder is connected to the upper body and don't like the visible ball joints. To me it looks over engineered, especially for this size. You can disagree with me, got no problems with that at all, but I just don't get why the back and feet etc etc are considered pretty or aesthetically pleasing. To each their own.

These are very MP Bumblebee 2.0, to me - very intricate engineering and use of faux parts to get a particular uber-toon look. It is impressive how much this accomplishes compared to the MP and they did Cliffjumper, too (Takara's is due any decade now...).
    Impressive but not for me.

  • @Sbungo61

Personally i hate these things, that Bumblebee is a huge step back from the first model. Seriously, these are basically "Mp45 but small" and none of you can tell me otherwise, nothing on these figures looks good. All the panel lines, the wonky proportions, the entire car mode on the back side and ugly faces just make these figures bad on every way. They are clearly made for those nostalgic sweaty fat guys that always cry if a figure is not 100% accurate to the original, outdated, oversimplified, and just bad character model from the cartoon. Seriously people, how the hell are these worthy of money? Even if some of you will buy them only for posing them and putting them on a display there's one thing i should mention you, they look bad from every angle and with any kind of pose. 9:52 at this point Cluffjumper looks like he exploded and his pieces are now on the ground and Bumbebee is exploding mid air. These are just a waste of money people. The funny part is that you all criticise Takara but when a 3rd party company does the same then it's alright. You transformers collectors are really sad individuals.
