I already had 2 of the pastel yellow..but I HAD to go ahead and grab the painted version. Glad I did. Wish I bought 2 but for now the pastel will represent the ALT mode for me. It does make me a little hesitant with new releases to buy two like I normally do. Wish they would give the premium paint right from the get. But I'm glad It looks like they're moving towards better paint. I'm right with you on the molds being preferred over new age most times.
I hope they upsize it to Masterpiece because I’d love one of these. Takara is overpriced when available & the feedback about the 4th Party KO is not good.

Did...did they unnecessarily paint a spot on the back of the EX version's head to make it look like light piping!? And speaking of EX versions, their MSB46-EX Light of Victory (the Legends scale Optimus Prime 2.0) also has a nice paint job, but they included clear chest windows, unlike their sucky Bumblebee. It came at a cost, though: the red paint doesn't match that well even after multiple layers, and the bulk of the QC issues all involve the chest windows and the paint on them. So I guess that's a nuke Bumblebee dodged... ...doesn't stop it from being an amazingly ugly design that Magic Square clearly drew inspiration from MP21 Bumblebee for.

NewAge's first Bumblebee was okay, but then came their second one that they did a Cliffjumper from...I'm not a fan of their 2.0, but I definitely like the look of both NewAge Bees more than Magic Square's. I think the way MS handled the vehicle mode may very well be the problem (and why robot mode looks so bad), but I don't know for sure.
Magic square is hit or miss to me, as far as designs. This looks like a pass. Maybe I’m just not big on bumblebee, the past few years has been overkill.
True but after this I see not reason to buy another Legends bee. I still have not gotten either of the new Primes yet because the 1.0 EX prime is fine for me

This painted one is great but if MS said they would put out a superior version down the road then the first one would not sell well

Also take your time and research the figures you want but if you really want one that is available at retail now get it fast
no you are correct the bumblebee doesnt look right looks more like a fiat 500c still well done
but its surprising that its so off

It's like a russian copy of a VW. Don't like alt mode at all.
