honestly, Magic Square has a team of Master Class engineers that hit it out of the park every single time. like my word what a figure. and it looks so great in BOTH modes. almost no comprimise. generally wish I had the income to collect them along side the main scale. 1:52 and 4:28 says it all
what I like about them is they're not afraid to copy others' proven work and improve upon them. Like their 2.0 Optimus is like 50% MP 44 transformation wise and I think they made the transformation even better and easier. and no faux grill is just genius.
recently picked up Newage's attempt at Jazz and while its arguably a worse mold with less accessories, its pretty amazing how great both legends scale Jazz toys are for the size.
Im not a fan of studio 86 Jazz, I only picked him up because I needed a modern Jazz for my collection. He's a decent figure at best. This is a cool Jazz, nice video homie.
I adore this mold. Absolutely will buy a riccochet repaint. I’m the past magic square couldn’t compete with newage. Now though newage can’t compete with magic square. Prime and ironhide from them are amazing.
@@mattceratopz it's literally leader class price for a legends scale. And don't get me started how much they changed for big bots like prime and Megatron.
For me the prices are somewhat justified, I can't always afford em myself, I only have 3 atm but the engineering that goes into the MS figures is awesome, the detail and articulation on such a small scale sometimes makes me question what hasbro's doing sometimes
I have this figure and I think it’s great but not near as much as MS Hound. If you’re interested in more MS figures, that one is a must have. It’s awesome.
@@Sigma.974 really? I much prefer the proportions, door windows, and accessories of magic square. The way the crotch plate disappears is sooooo nice on magic square as well. I’ve just been having way more fun with magic square
I got their Ironhide as my first 3P Legends figure and it blew me away with how much fun it is to play with. The posing, the transformation, the materials helping the tiniest panels feel smooth and solid to move and tab together. I'm in love. So yeah. This guy's looking pretty enticing as well. I'm also not entirely sure about the idea of MP-scale versions of these. Maybe I'm just uninformed because the only other 3P figure I have so far is OP Leader, but I feel like the small size is part of what makes it so fun to mess with. But hey, hope we get them anyway for those who want em!
There's been a really interesting push-pull between NewAge and Magic Square lately and I think they're both great competition for one another. The NA Dinobots are incredible. The MS Combaticons are an achievement. Both companies did their Devastator and they're quite comparable to one another. I really like NA's paint and most of their likenesses are good, but their scale is smaller. MS trends slightly bigger and that size increase really affords them more room for articulation and complex transformations. Add in Iron Factory and I'm loving this renaissance era of Legends scale stuff.
Legends scale figures really interest me but they don't really fit with my collection anymore, plus they're pretty pricey for what they are. I did see the new IDW Lockdown and AoE inspired Drift and thought they looked dope though.
There's reissues of their Optimus Prime 2.0 (the Legends scale one is MS-B46 Light of Victory) and Megatron (MS-B36 Doomsday), if that's where you want to start, though I personally went with NewAge's H09 Agamenmnon for my Megatron. Robot mode definitely doesn't look as good as Magic Square's, but the transformation is smoother and gun mode looks way better. Also, NewAge has better Seekers, a better package deal on Soundwave, and a kinda nicer Shockwave. Magic Square's got a WAY nicer set of Constructicons (you can get the box set of all six in Generation 2 colors for a few bucks cheaper straight from Magic Square), and until recently, they were the only ones with Legends scale Stunticons. They're now working on the Combaticons, so if Iron Factory and its stylized take didn't suit you, this might. (Magic Square's got three of'em out already: Brawl, Swindle, & Onslaught)
The whole “the cartoon wasn’t accurate to itself” is such a boring and overused excuse. I’m getting sick of everyone saying it 10 times over. We know what G1 ANYONE looks like, we don’t need to hear it 20 times again. Great review, I really enjoyed it
Man IDK I still can't get into legends. They just too small for me. It's the same reason why I go for Star Wars Black Series rather than TVC. Also god the prices are just astronomical for some releases.

Ah, So it seems the new SS Core class Ratchet is actually in scale with the other voyagers, leaders, and deluxes...🤔
Me reading the title: fair argument
Also me when megatron is 0.00001 cm shorter than Optimus prime on a toy: *visible frustration*

If Magic Square and New Age weren't so overpriced I'd actually consider buying some of these.
Same if they were Around the 20-30 range, they would be easier to collect.
They are pricey alright Razz. Triple hasbro price here in Oz 🥲

3:34 they did it with their prime and they’re gonna do it with there brudicus
Told ya the intros keep getting better
4:58 I actually think that scale isn’t to bad
I love Magic Square toys, they’re Masterpiece figures at a small playable scale.
Great video and review! I checked the store and wow, that's alot of stuff I need
Jazz and neffex…new favorite thing
I think Magic Square is one of my favourite companies right now. Have their Stunticons and Prime 2.0 and they are among my favourites in my collection

So a guess that's what you might call a little touch of Jazz.

Honestly, I'm surprised hasbro hasn't made an MP Jazz, but they made skids.
also, magic square is making a jetfire soon.

Eyy, nice review!

I just want them to upscale this to make the best jazz like they did the best optimus

its not small it is average. some people would say its too big

50 dollars?? geez
50 bucks for a legends?? That’s way too much
