I served my time, converting 3.9m and 4.3m wheel base Scania trucks into fire appliances for emergency ONE Scotland. Best trucks to work on. We also had a few best in show for the Scottish truck fest. ❤️
Given the very poor facilities that long distance lorry drivers have, they should have a much better accommodation inside. Room for a toilet and shower room would be nice as well as a bunk and simple kitchenette. You could fit those in that truck.
but politicians regulators dont sleep in the trucks 😢 so they dont care for the truckers wellfare they want truckers to be in a hotel very far fetch reality even parking spaces are not enough during afternoons for night rest what more for the hotel law they are absurd! ithey want business instead of extending the cab a meter would be amazing but hurt their pockets no hotel check ins

You have never drove a cabover? I would go through the backdoor on the drivers side every time I needed to get in the truck because climbing those little stars over the steering wheel is hard on your knees. You need 3 point contact like a mf getting in and out.
@@1972OGTony mate I have driven cab overs in 4 continents over many years. Also in my opinion I don’t like the door like it is. Again my opinion as getting into the truck is just as easy through the passenger side

Agree with you that there are too many doors and usable space is lost. The cabin is impressive, but I also find the bunk above the driver a bit fair headroom, a bit claustrophobic.
I think 4 doors are ideal if your drinking in the back and then feel a bit sick, just open the back door and puke, or if you want to have a pee, just open the back door and piss away.

@@DomingoDeSantaClara No we don't. Canada is 5 time zones wide. You would have to have dealers everywhere...even where there is little business. Which is why the established dealers make it work.
I realy like thus concept and two extra doors are nice for me. It's useful when it's time to take a brake meanwhile one's wating to charge or discharge. I give it 💯.

Scania made firetrucks based on the P-series but China wanted a Scania with V8 engine and they required the R-series cabin so they made them specially for China but only 3 were made i think.
What truck driver needs a lounge area and liqueur cabinet? What you gonna do, hang out with friends and host parties? It’s better and smarter to use this space for comfy bed, fridge, micro-oven: things that a working trucker actually needs..
It is a show truck converted from a crew cab firetruck but I agree they should have welded the back doors and put in a bathroom,a kitchenette or maybe a king size bed

its a good truck, i like the four doors style of the truck, but the thing I would fix is the bed that is too stuck to the ceiling, and I would also fix the TV, if you want you can also install a wall support and then install a small TV in the left wall of the truck. Then of course everyone can ask the manufacturer about the interior design.

People ask me which are better all the time and I tell them no one is better in everything. In general truck driving isnt easy ao I enjoy all there is and no clear "better". Such a waste of space. People bild whole campers with a space like that, I mean a full kitchen and a toilet with a shower and all you managed to do was putting a couch behind the seats.
Its probably just been built as a marketing truck to show what is possible. For long distance work users would request a more practical interior including a proper bunk, kitchenette, shower, toilet etc. If spec'ing one up for personal use I would permanently lock out one or two of the rear doors depending upon layout. That is going to be one heavy tractor unit though with that big engine and xxxl cab.
I have some suggestions..... It would have been better if the couch was a convertible bed. Also integrate a pull down table to window site (remove the v8 table) the rest is ok but you should keep a small locker with removable shelves in one cornor (in view of keeping big items eg . Stove, bread maker, laptop , cameras, etc)

Well you can as many truckers do, just pre-order a small hotel/motel/hostel etc room for discount, you would only use the shower.

Having the top bunk at the front of the cab is a tremendous improvement in safety should a panic stop occur. Very innovative design for team drivers.
