I love my little box, despite it sounds digital, It has great sounds in it. These ones are among the best analog style sounds for It I ever heard. A hard task happily accomplished. Well done!
I often think to buy some gear to expand my palette, but if I consider that just taking this little box and trying to squeeze it would take years to discover all its hidden power, well, I give up and think to dive into it.
can you help me ? how can i put or programming new sound in korg x5 ? how can i upgrade my korg with actual effects? i like the vintage one , but has some new effects that i want to put in it and i don't know how
I'm not sure if i understand you. what i know of the x5 is limited. I am afraid it might not be possible. The original X5, only had 4mb of sample memory and not as many effects. I think.
Patches=programmed sounds made with the waveforms inside the Ram memory. The waveforms can't be updated, but there are enough to enjoy for months and months. Effects= all those things like delay, reverb, distortion that make the sounds richer or different from usual. There are, if I well remember, 47 ! But You can't load new ones.... About storing patches programmed by other users You need: a computer, a software to edit/organize your favourite patches and send them to the synth (it can also receive and store on pc as a little file the ones You made...), an usb (or an older protocol) board linked to pc, with Midi plugs to be linked with midi cables to the synth. Now, You can send/receive patches to/from the Korg.
@@boimesa8190 eBay. There are several on eBay right now for less than $400usd. You could also pick up an X5DR module, which is what I have. I'm seeing those for less than $200usd, and in one case, less than $100! You might also consider the Korg X3 (61 keys) or X2 (72 keys + additional ROM). They have the same, or very similar synthesis engine, and many of the same sounds. If you don't see anything in your country or budget, setup a saved search. Something will show up eventually.

Love the Tape Flute, it's a sound I've been looking for. Would love a tut on programming that patch, specifically!
Thanks. Unfortunately I'm not doing much with the X5D these days.

Hi can I set up the korg x5d with patches on my laptop like other midi controllers?
Where can we download the file with the programs?
By, what’s up now? You thought to sell the sounds for a low price this year. Perhaps it works by email & paypal...?
Great pad sounds ! But it seems it is not possible to get your sound set anymore from your google drive :(
Hmm. I'll check it.

Just curious, have these patches ever been released for Download?
Maybe. It's finding the time I'm afriad 😳
What song is it your playing in the first two patches?
It's just a few chords i was dabbling with. I might use them one day in a song.
@@Synthesis1979 you definitely should! Btw, how do I obtain these patches to my own korg x5d?
I could have sworn the first was the Babylon 5 intro.
Can these sounds be bought somewhere?
momsiu. Some time next year i think. Not sure what website im going to use. Mean while check out my programming tutorials.
i'm up for this, too. great work!
When will these be available ?
sometime this year. sorry but I'm still programming.
