Thanks for video Adam, all excellent suggestions for someone new to the game.
I would add a cloth. I use an old flannel with an eyelet I put into it with a bit of string that attaches to finds bag. (but you could tie a knot in one of the corners to attach string) Handy for cleaning tip of pointer or trowel before putting back into holster or dirt off hands / gloves, as well as rubbing dirt of finds instead of using trousers:) You need the string otherwise you always end up dropping it and have to go back to find it.
I have an old plastic Nesquick milkshake powder container in my finds bag for putting tac in. It is oval in shape with nice wide opening and easy to take out and empty, it saves damage to inside of finds bag from sharp finds. Cloth usually stuffs into top out the way as well to stop stuff coming out when bending down, also, I use a stiff toothbrush with a modifed handle, basically cut shorter with a sloping edge like a chisel, so it has a scraping bit with point, works a treat and takes up even less room than nail brush.

Absolutely agree with your finds system.
I usually use a sandwich bag and a plastic shopping bag for trash, dump the sandwich bag in the larger bag at the side of the field if it's too trashy of a location so I don't have to carry everything around.
Then I have 2 finds boxes for general stuff like plain buttons, musket balls etc and 2nd box for nicer decorated buttons or fragile/important finds.
My last item is a finders Coins tub for coins that are more fragile like hammered or I'm good condition and special small decorative pieces
I also have some of the nokta items you mentioned and love them especially the pinpointer but after getting a Deus 2 I also use an MI6 now.
I can't agree enough with the need for a pinpointer especially if you're new to detecting, after a while it may be easier to pinpoint with the detector but if it's a small find like a smaller coin you'd really do well with owning a decent pinpointer

Adam.. one additional item.. a battery bank / charger block.. nothing worse than a hunt when you realize you headphones, pinpointer, etc didn't get charged up since last use.

I agree with about 90% in the order.
Obviously detector 1st, then a shovel, then a pinpointer & pouch next.
I’ve never used their shovel, but I’ve heard good & bad. I was told it was a tad heavy. I currently have 3, but my fav is the new Predator phantom shovel. I went with the shorter size. I try to stay as discrete as possible. Sometimes I won’t even bring my shovel & just use my hand digger made by Key Date Kid.
My left palm is a big callous….lol.
Love your content & you are great in front of the camera.

Also worth mentioning is that you can get a coil to put on your Pulse Dive pinpointer and use it underwater.
Sadly my Nokta beach scoop handle perished within the first three months of using it and when I tried to get a new one from my place of purchase, they said new handles were unavailable. That was very disappointing. But on the whole I love my gear. I would like a new handle for my beach scoop though. It’s pretty poor that you can’t get a replacement.

I just did a search for the scoop handle and they are literally EVERYWHERE. If you're in the UK, LP Metal Detecting have them in stock.

Australia sadly. Although watching you guys get amazing finds makes me want to come there. Cheers for your work and I loved the episode when you and Arron went out on the beach together. All the best.

I wish somebody would make a decent lightweight titanium digger along the lines of a Hori Hori knife...No need for it to be super sharp, not serrated, just a strong lightweight tool for digging...

    Hi' Adam!
The Multi-purpose Carry Bag isn't being offered by Nokta anymore, unfortunately.

      No..
But it is still widely available at most distributors and will be for some time to come.
It would even be worth buying second hand...it's a terrific bit of kit!

Maybe not but all the dealers seem to have them. Also the new legends come with one

  • @wolf1rescue296

Just saying the number on your magnification device 13.21mm is a reference to the size of the lense not the power. It looks like a standard jewelers loop which would make it 10X or 10 times power. This is an important industry standard for grading natural stones as you would refer to whether or not any inclusions can be seen with the eye aided up to 10 power. Anything that is not visible at 10X or less magnification is considered not there for grading purposes.

Hi Adam another great helpful video .I am upgrading to the Simplex Ultra whp with the Nokta accupoint very soon 🥳 and I was wondering seeing as they are both capable of Bluetooth can you use them simultaneously with the wireless headphones ? You videos have persuaded me to invest in some upgrades and I can’t wait . Thank you for any help you can give me .

    • @DTEKTSUSSEX
      @DTEKTSUSSEX  9 месяцев назад

Fantastic choice with the Ultra! Fantastic machine 👏
I use the same set of headphones for the Ultra as I do for the Legend. No need to pair each time...just turn on and they connect right away regardless of which machine I'm using.

Hmmm...I'm actually not sure! I'll try and do a test when I can and I'll ask around the other NOMADS in case they know 👍

Thank you Adam for your help . I’ve got another question for you if you don’t mind .Today I received my Nokta accupoint but it’s orange and not yellow ? Did they make them in orange do you know ? Or should I be suspicious of my purchase ?

    • @DTEKTSUSSEX
      @DTEKTSUSSEX  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Paul,
They only make them in yellow so if yours is orange I would be VERY suspicious. Definitely question it with the dealer!
Would you mind sending a photo to me on the Facebook or Instagram page with a note of where it came from, please? It's something I should feed back to Nokta.

For a tough Shovel that will dig well you're better off saving for a bit longer and getting a dedicated one like this.
