    Nice looking X1 for 2023. Definitely something to consider if one is in the market and looking in that sector. Thanks for posting/sharing. Cheers!

    Thanks for this well explained video on the x1. Because of you, I just ordered one with M-Sport / Premium Package and a few more goodies. It's on the Germany assembly line now and due in NY in early September...Your video made me pull the plug on this awesome vehicle!

    48th thumbs up! Other than that pug looking grille, even then, this is a looker. ❤ Superb review as usual, Lauren!

    Like a decade or earlier, smaller cars from luxury brands weren’t any worse than the bigger ones, but last few years the interiors were a let down, good to see smaller cars having nice finish again. Besides the designed in Mexico 2 series

    Are there thigh supports that move out on the front of the seats. The passenger side looked like it was pulled out a little. Beautiful color on the exterior with a beautiful color inside. Love the very sharp screens and the colors.

    • @CarCoachReports

      Yes there is thigh support. The color combo was really classy and modern. Huge improvements.

      Thigh support with sport seats. Not with standard seats.

      @@CarCoachReports I really like those on seats. Either mechanical or electric.

    What would make you consider this over say a Hyundai or Mazda? Or is that just a silly question?

    Some reviewers found car jerky at low speeds. Complain about shifts and stop/start. Any observations?

      i've had mine now for 21 days. yes, 2x a moment like the trans was confused btwn 3-2 downshift as I slowed down to wait before making a right turn after slowing down and another time after slowing down and making another right turn, going from 1-2--- but that is what I have heard about DCT. I still love it though, I have the MSport version.. I just realized itboth times was when I used the paddle shifters when perhaps should have let the DCT do its thing on its own... I dunno.

    Wouldn’t it be closer to an x3?

    • @hawaiiguy1
      @hawaiiguy1 Год назад +1

      current x1 beats x3 in headroom and leg room, loses out by shoulder room 1.5 inches in front and 0.9 inches in rear, plus about 5 cu ft less in cargo space than the x3.

      X3 has a better transmission too.

    No lumbar? Makes no sense! Other than that seems like a great redesign and overall vehicle. Who is still subscribing to SiriusXM. Give us CarPlay AA, and that’ll do it for most. Is premium fuel required? That’s a huge deal breaker for me. The dash and center display look fantastic. Only way to buy a car like this is lease. They are designed to be great for 3-5 years and drop way off after that. I can only hope that the tires aren’t run flat. Another feature liked by nobody except the car makers.

      I like Sirius. The seats have lumbar support but you pay extra for it.

    Can't believe no lumbar support on a $48,000 car and now it's ok with you.
    When you complained about vehicles not having it on the passenger seat many, many times over the years.
    Are you mellowing with age ?

    • @Brian-jv8iy
      @Brian-jv8iy Год назад

      Idk, lumbar is rare in Europe, even on most luxurious of cars. Our commute is short usually. And seats mostly are shaped in a way they support the spot

    • @johnbrews9724
      @johnbrews9724 Год назад

      Lumbar support can be added as an option.

    • @johnbrews9724

      Option: “active front seats” $450 includes lumbar support and massage

    3rd comment. BMW endless money pits. Too much plastics usage in these cars that they leak very often.

      I’ve always found my BMWs to be very reliable. It’s Jaguar Land Rover products that are the unreliable money pits!

      Not really something to observe in Europe, where fleets corporate, taxi, police etc are full of BMWs and Mercedes, and especially taxis, the ones from 2017-2020 have now 600k to 1,5 milion km and have no repair and are All for sale looking grand new visually with no rust
