Teen Postpones College to Star on Broadway as Cher

- Micaela Diamond, 19, was two days away from heading to college at Carnegie Mellon University when she got the call that she was cast as Cher in the musical “The Cher Show.” The teen is the youngest cast member in the show now playing on Broadway. InsideEdition.com followed Micaela around New York City to get an exclusive look at her everyday life. InsideEdition.com’s Leigh Scheps has more. #InsideEdition
This is what happens when you make you kid feel comfortable and confident enough to do whatever they want. Her mom encouraged and supported her so much. She's awesome.

@@SuraDoes That's true, but her parents should have made sure she also did her chores. Her mother caters to her, but that isn't good, because it makes her entitled. Other people her age do their own laundry AND go to work and/or school. I like she does her shopping and has a nutritionist to keep her healthy, but there is too much kissing up to her and telling her she is great. That said, she is very grounded. Get her a dance coach who teaches her to us heat and cold treatment before her feet swell up!
@@fredrika27 that's not the impression I got at all. She seems pretty hardworking to me. When you're in a whirlwind like Broadway you have to prioritize and she seems thankful to have her mother's support and help.
Then again, it's a 12 minute highlight reel so neither of us should have much to say about who she is as a person.

@@fredrika27 pretty sure if she's on Broadway she has therapists who teach her proper proticol. She's 19 her mom can do her laundry if her mom wants stop being bitter. I'm in premed she's icing just fine heat is for aches cool is for therapy and injury. Basic anatomy and physiology.

Carnegie mellon, the college she was meant to go to, has been rife with successful musical theatre graduates though, she was probably going to study theatre or musical theatre there aha
