Sit on top kayak on wild waters CLASS 5

- The video shows an excellent adventurous experience of kajaking on the wild waters of class 5, on the top of the top kayaks, which are primarily intended for driving on calm waters.
The ride was overwhelmingly completed for two kayaks who did not manage to resist the power of the river and lost kayaks and paddles because they were forced to save their own lives.
River Bregava, canyon Prodor
Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina
9. June 2019.
No way that’s a Class 5. Maybe 3
Class V you'd have been severly injured or worse. Class II/III tops. Take a safety course. Do you have people in your life who love you? Think of them.
Class II/III ish.
Class III Whitewater is considered
Intermediate. Rapids with moderate, irregular waves. Complex maneuvers in fast current and good boat control in tight passages or around ledges are often required; large waves or strainers may be present but are easily avoided.
couple of class 3 holes.... class 5, ha ha.
That's a river which has enticingly clean water. It was refreshing just to watch those amazingly high def images!
Interesting the different ways people class rivers. I would call that level 2. Looked like a heap of fun.
Yeah this is not class 5 rapids, not at all
Class 2. Thats it.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and call it "almost class 3"
Agree on both points! Looks like a ton of fun. And frankly Class II always feels like Class V when you're swimming! 🤣
Wow, I'd fall just for those clean waters!!
I also like to helplessly watch my kayak needlessly drift away down a river...
I was gonna make my own comment but i think this says it all.
That river looks like fun!!!! Nice video, nice kayaking, nice rapids-all good things
Thanks for the positive comments and for watching our video :)
I think we watched different videos.
Lots of sketchy. Lots
I flip my sit on top right back over and get back in. You should practice doing that. Its fairly easy and much more safe. Glad you got your boat back
Those are class 3 rapids though
Thanks for watching our video :)
all white water is class 9000
i was shitting my pants watching this
Thanks for watching our video :)
Y'all should try it in a good site on top, like a Jackson bite, old town top water which is now a sportsman, or even a crescent ck1, now them didn't to bad, y'all look like you got a little experience, that water is gorgeous too
Does anyone have any idea what class exactly these rapids are? I've searched the entire comment section to see if someone had pointed it out but not a single mention.
Good vid looked a lot of fun
Probably more like Class 2+. Definitely not 4 or 5. Glad that everyone is OK and has a story to tell.
2 or maybe 3 but only those couple drops. Definitely not 5 though.
Class 2-3 at most, nothing on there even approaches class 4
Didn't see more than class 4 maybe but y'all got balls for sure
Thanks :)
Thats class 2 tops! You were literally asking for trouble
Class 3ish. And now those SOTs are litter somewhere.
Class 2 folks none of that was even close to big water or creeking, Class III requires maneuvering through the feature. not pointing straight down what a joke, by the way why did the abandon their gear?
@@jenniferdoherty4084 in front of us was a large waterfall ://ruclips.net/video/KJrEh7cjrqQ/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/KJrEh7cjrqQ/видео.html The equipment is ok, we continued to use it
@ Jennifer, perhaps rating change a bit depending where you live. East coast U.S., the Ocoee in TN and so Tohican PA are examples of CL3. These have sections that do require more navigation, however, this also appears pretty swift. I think CL3 is fair. CL2 I can put a newbie on after they get basic skills down where there are pools. This isn't where I would want them.
Dudes, where you planning to run that waterfall?
I think CL3 is about right. This is a classic class 3 River in Pennsylvania U.S.

Not a class 5. Maximum 3 but looks mostly 2. If you had taken 2 sit upons down a class 5 you and your sit upons would have been in pieces.
so many wrong things on this video. First, Not even close to class 5. second terrible self rescue skills (or lack there off) and third, NEVER stand up in moving water that deep, you are asking for a foot entrapment.
hello, good video !!
what is the name at your kayak please ?
Thanks! the orange Kayak that descends is the first Mojito and the second, green, is Mambo, both of the French manufacturer RTM Kayak
Beautiful, clear water! However, that's not a class-V river. I'd say it is a class-III, at the most. Anyway, kudos for your bravery! I wouldn't run it on a SOT kayak, but it looks like fun.
Need thigh straps for leg control sit on top in class 3 a hoot!
Looks like class II and boaters that need more training. I'd have swam away from that bank with the trees, actually I'd have jumped back up on the kayak, good possibility of strainers on the left.
Looks fun but not even close to class 5. Upper Tuolumne river in California is close.
Upper T, cherry creek and parts of the run below it are certainly class V. Merals pool to the Wards Ferry Bridge is mostly class IV but certainly class V in a couple places, especially at 10,000 CFS.
Class 2 at best. It looks like a class 3, but it's not as deadly as a true class 3. I
Thanks for watching our video :)
3 day rafting 90km over river Tara across border of Montenegro and Bosnia, class 3 and 4 with evening campouts and spit roast food....trip there was just as nerving. Driving on winding roads across mountain tops with barely enough room to fit two cars...in midst of it all you see a farm house...alone in this desolate environment. Then you descend towards the forest and down to the pristine river where your trip starts. Crystal clear waters, waterfalls, natural springs, canyons of incredible proportions, negotiating boulders in the river, rapids, drops, shallows...Most epic adventure to date. I will never forget it.
When you go down rapids do you use a sit i. Kayak or a something else
They make special sit inside kayaks for white water rapids that have a skirt that prevents water from entering the kayak.
Sooo… you just let the kayaks drift away?…
That's not Class 5..more like standard Class 3. I still enjoyed the video though! At 1:00 the kayak goes from a sit on top kayak to a lay on top kayak..LOL. Fun stuff.
Did he get his boat back?
Yes, he stopped 1000 meters down :)
As many people have pointed out, this is class II or III tops. Very misleading headline. Either that, or the person who posted the video has no idea how to properly rate rapids, in which case they have no business running them.
Crazy!
Looks like class 2/3 water to me
Looks like fun but definitely not class 5. Only saw class 3 maybe a spot of a class 4
So, not the best idea.
Leashes and tethers help..
Leashes and tethers on whitewater kill people. As does going on to dangerous rivers without the proper, equipment, qualifications and experience. While this was probably class 3 at most they put themselves in a potentially lethal situation
Yes, we know that now :)
Leashes and tethers on whitewater are an invitation to entrapment and drowning. That's why you never see whitewater boaters using them. Plenty of paddleboarders have found that out the hard way.
Not in a river or surf, I'd say the risk of entanglement is too great once you add rope. better to get thigh braces and upskill a bit more before heading downstream.
Schöner Fluss. Aber das ist doch kein WW5. Grüße ronactive
Sit IN kayak FTW
Sit on top kayaks French manufacturer RTM Kayak
I feel like you both could have flipped your kayaks and got back in to be honest. Get leashes for your paddles and leash them to the kayak next time.
Would like to see you roll a SOT in that type of water 🤣
NNNOOOOOOO!!! Paddle leashes are entanglement hazards
Hang ON to the paddle and swim with it to your SOT. just saying.
Dang I’d be swimming that river within a minute
What clowns taken sit on tops on those waters
Looks like fun to ne
not even a brace.. what balls
Definitely 2-3 nowhere near class 5.
Why not just say CLASS 6 with MASSIVE DROPS and UNDERWATER CAVES!
Class 5 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do you not tie off to the kayak, like surfers do?
