I was just looking for a video of someone rolling in rough weather to see how they coped with real world conditions, as opposed to in pools or calm waters, and the answer is "with consummate ease" (obviously with heaps of experience). Great video, thanks for sharing.
Pointe du Raz is where you go if you love cross currents coming atcha from all sides. Beautiful waves of many colors and shapes. Very daring to go there in a kayak!
In the meanwhile I have been paddling there too. I started in The Netherlands and paddled solo to Spain. The passage by Point du Raz was quite impressive to do on my own and with a fully loaded kayak! My journey is also on RUclips, by the way. I would love to go back to Point du Raz, but this time with a couple of friends, just to enjoy the movements..
I've kayaked in fresh water and in sea water, mongroves and the ocean but calm waters. Your video will be a goal once I get into shape again since 2 brain tumors
Two years ago a friend of mine had a tumor the size of her fist removed. She's doing great now, very active and smart around 70 years of age. I think you will be well soon
And this is calm weather... imagine that area with 45 knots wind, and large waves, say... against the wind ? I was there in another life, maybe with the Glenans or when I rented a boat in Camaret, sure wouldn't come with the sailboat in the middle of these rocks.
Music makes it seem like the queuing area for a mildly horror themed ride called Dracula's Cottage, in an English theme park that was once a small zoo but started adding some gentle rides in the 1980s.
Funtastic scenery and great paddling skills! Congrats! I try to get rolling skills back after 10 years of interrupion, but I must practise in less trouble conditions as shown. Am I right, that there are big (tide) currents between the islands? Thx for this vid (I muted the sound, the music disturbs me more than its a pleasure), but great inspiration to look at the kayak & sea! KR Henry
The most hazardous condition wasn’t that rough water, but the mist that rolled in at the end. Somebody must have logged a back bearing, because that fog was in moving and it looked thick.
I surfed for years in the north Atlantic and this girl doesn't know how to read the water. Good for her for trying but there was no need to capsize. I also kayaked in hurricane force winds. At some point you would think she would stop taking waves side on
Great Play Spot! You got rocks, current, waves, . . . What more could you ask for? Cheers from an ex-storm paddler in America's Mid-Atlantic region (Dullsvile, LoL!)
Real pleasure to watch, but I kept noticing something on the right between bow and paddle. Finally found it at 5.36, is it some crazy reflection? Maybe a ghost from a previous recording.
What happens if you injure your shoulder, how are you going to get back to shore? That's a big concern I have with ocean kayaking. And also, how do you know if there will be a strong rip current or tidal current that will be stronger than your ability to paddle, and you get swept out to sea?
People are capable of extraordinary things when they are faced with life or death That's part of the thrill of sea kayaking, or any adrenaline junkie or endurance like event
I subscribed because man you took me on a wild run...especially when you came close to the rocks...Whao Nellie...may I ask what kayak were you using ? Be safe will be looking forward to your other RIDES 😊
Yep, was all set to buy a Delphin, until i tried to get into it and couldnt.. went with a scorpio mv instead.. great video, what camera were you using?
I'm loving how this video really highlights the importance of rock solid recovery skills for that unexpected swim in the rough.
I wish more youtube had natural sounds instead of taking away the beauty of ocean sounds with forced music. Looks like a fun day tho
HunterK Same here mate
I would imagine the natural sound is water crashing and just a bunch of wind into whatever microphone there was. I like what your getting at, though.
I like the music!
I couldn't watch though because of that music
Lol! Dude just made a comment. The only one making it a big deal is you bud.

I was the same all the videos you see are in pools quite annoying.
Go watch canoe slalom Fails

Nice tide race! And good to see your roll didn't let you down in the end during the second attempt.

@@dantzu I paddled from Holland to Spain😁

Wow. I thought THEY had mental issues going out in crappy condition like that. Capsizing in those conditions might be too dangerous to recover from.
Sorry for your loss

Magnifique cette vidéo 😍
Finally, great background music that makes sense!! Do Oxygene 12 next :)))
Wow! Great skills and great rolls. Must have been so difficult in that washing machine!
Music makes it seem like the queuing area for a mildly horror themed ride called Dracula's Cottage, in an English theme park that was once a small zoo but started adding some gentle rides in the 1980s.
I don't usually care for a musical background, but I like you marvelous mix of beat and waves. Thanks for a great video from a soon-to-be kayaker.
This is INCREDIBLE! I was jumping in my seat watching!
Very beautiful sea and nice music :D
Thank you for the video. It's awesome.

Very good video. Congratulations for having the confidence to make a second roll attempt using a pawlatta roll that is more robust but slower.

Nice background music and amazing video.
Good video and rolling. It is always nice to know you don't have to leave your boat. Have fun and be safe out there.
Sitting in my home during Corona lockdown longing to get back out to the sea. At least I can enjoy videos like this.

Is that jean michel jarre music ? In the video ...amazing btw
5:10min in Greece we say "drinking gazoza"
Quite a hairy place to sail a yacht round, and the green stuff is even closer in a kayak!
The Pointe Du Raz igs one of the most dangerous places I've ever been.
Really? What kind of danger?
@@TheDcrocks1 Did you not watch the video?
Wow, looks like a great fun day of kayaking!
For real!
Great fun, looks like tidal overfalls - I use my kayak for diving, so when the Kayak overturns, its a bit more effort to right it then get back in.
I love the music ! :D With the sound of the waves it's soo cool ! :D
Whats the brand of this kayak pleas
Very beautiful, and the music so nice ! Thank you !
Very enjoyable video. Can't wait to get back on the water.
Reminds me of some rough days in Gwaii Hanaas. Sporty stuff, best to keep your wits about you.
Nice paddling! That’s some rough water!
Hi. Better to enter at deep water on foots and then to enter kayak. Do not go close to the cliff, wash out. Thank you for the moovie.
Looks fun !! I want to get a Hobie with the foot pedals. Watching a video like this is hard, when your stuck in the winter months in Wisconsin 😬😬
Your Hobie would be hopeless in seas like this video.
Hobie kayaks dont even have front hatch properly sealed lol it would end up at the bottom of the ocean in 10 min stick with flat water
You’d be right back at the store looking for a new one and regretting taking your POS Hobie out into rough seas.
Hobie pedal crafts are great! It's just a different toy from sea kayaks. I have had my Hobie out on Big Lake waves and thoroughly enjoyed it.
So what you want to tell is, these things are unsinkable? Or how big waves it can take?
自分もこんな所に行ってみたい!
かなりデカい隠れ根がありそうだからFRP艇だとヤバそう。
だから皆さんポリ艇使ってるんでしょうね。
しかしえらい複雑な波のたつ海域だね。楽しそう。great job! From Japan.
Well done on the roll and getting hit by next wave lass 🙂
Что за музыкальная композиция звучит в этом ролике?
Jean-Michel Jarre - The Concerts In China 1981
Спасибо, хорошая музыка, хорошее видео, удачи вам, берегите себя
Can I ask about gear? What's this boat and what paddle are you using?
I keep thinking I’ll see them progress through the channel, but I’m thinking that this was a play/practice session rather than a trip.
Nice video! Greeting from Chile 🇨🇱 in South America! Kayak Chile ! The Patagonia is a great place for the Kayak!
i did a little of that, but it was on the mississippi river and was a barge wake!
The 'music' is 'rough' also?!
The weather seems calm but nice swells. Lot of fun!
Were u purposefully trying to turn over? Everytime u did, u intentionally went sideways to a wave.
Good boat skills you demonstrate there
Wow you have some skill there and I’m not talking just eskimo roll. Must had a good fun!
Real pleasure to watch, but I kept noticing something on the right between bow and paddle. Finally found it at 5.36, is it some crazy reflection? Maybe a ghost from a previous recording.
What kayaks were those out in that chop?
Great fun, I just bought last week a 16ft North Shore composite kayak, will get down the river dee this week in it,, A new hobby.
I like the video, but why the music?
What kayak is that . Thanks
Great video, must have been fun and exhilarating. It was fun sailing through it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video, can you please tel me the kayak brand

Awesome! ... I can't wait to do that! ❤🏅🍻
Nice instrumental matching awesome scenes!
Weird music. What is it?
What kayak is the green one?
Loving this video! I kayak fresh waters, but definitely gotta give that ocean waters a try!
Just wondering what you ment by anti clockwise?
Tossed around like a cork . Still looks like a blast .
Great video, I wish I had those skills. I've been a flat water paddler..
Love the rolling skills! i'm still learning to do that :)
Anti clockwise...is that an issue?
That's was epic to watch!
Where did you kayak?
See kayaking in Brazil on our channel. Many adventures now you.
Gorgeous footage
Great music and video!
may i ask what settings you used to film this with? :-)
720p at 30fps I think, it's Alice's camera, mainly because it makes the files easier to work with.
It looks really nice for 720p!

Britany NICE Place.
Skillful & Superb riding
Enjoy
belles images, mais la musique gâche le son des vagues.
Turning sideways to look at the waves; three turns three rolls.
I would love to paddle here. We have no waves
Unfortunately have to agree.
I couldn't stand the music for more than a minute and hit the stop button.
Yep, was all set to buy a Delphin, until i tried to get into it and couldnt.. went with a scorpio mv instead.. great video, what camera were you using?
It obviously a GoPro. That’s all anyone uses now
What type of kayak is this?
P&H Delphin.

That's nothing bro, if you want to experience hard weather canoeing you need to visit cape horn.
Who made yer kayak?
Out of curiosity, what is the length of your kayak?
Belle maîtrise malgré la houle.
Bro do a video like this again plssss
Felt sea sick watching it, but great video! Thanks
هذا نادي لحريك.
great what is the model kayak you using please
thank you kind
elan
Alice says it was a Delphin Surf.
Great music 🎶 never wached the video!
That eskimo roll situation was setup haha kind of cool though
Thank you. I agree.
This is most definitely a SUPER COOL ADVENTURE!
5:00 - the roll
Yhe worst thing u can ever do is hitting a big white capped wave sideways
Musik?
It's the live version of Equinoxe part IV, by Jean-Michel Jarre, from The Concerts In China.
Terence Finnman how'd you manage that? I've tried using music on my channel but RUclips removed it and warned me.
Music is terrible. Would be better with only audio from footage
I muted it. Ppl like me, nature lovers we want to hear the water.
It's great, the feeling is exciting and addicting.
So pretty much youre going to flip your kayak in rough seas..
