I believe I just became a better player by watching this and I haven't even gotten off my rear end yet to grab my guitar! Pat's that great a teacher - great communicator!
This has gotta be one of the best you tube guitar lessons i ever watched!!!! I have been playing for years and you showed me so much in this lesson that i didn't know. Thank You! Awesome teacher!!
Holy Toledo Batman!!! I play this tune in open G with a slide, but I need to learn what you're teaching here. Thank you. Ah, I paused it at 6 minutes so I can remember that stuff. Someday, I'm going to be good enough to open one of his shows. (Hey we all have dreams right.)
Fer hevvin's sake, it is a 0-45/42 or a 1-45/42? You'd think Dreum Guitars would be more awake! They are in the business of selling guitars, aren't they?
if Martin made that same exact guitar without all the bling......they couldn't make enough of them! I'm drooling but not a fan of decoration or the cost of decoration....
Great guitar playing, but it misses the point of the song, the simple blues harmony that pulls the heart strings into fine twine, twists it, and then ties it in knots. Listen to the original Bertha Chippie Hill for the simple harmony, or Jason Molina Magnolia Electric Company for a more modern and equally heart wrenching version. This song is supposed to make you cry, not hum along...
Great Guitarist /HORRIBLE guitar. I suppose he was paid to play it. So if this is a guitar ad, its an epic failure. Its peppered with buzzing strings /clunky notes everywhere. 0:46 What was that? / 3:14 High E string /3:17 E string again 4:44 Buzz on the D chord / 5:01 Buzz on open A string really bad 5:13 Horrible A chord / 5:25 A chord again real clunker And on goes , once you notice these it you can't unhear them

We miss you on A Prarie Home Companion. Thanks for all the years of creativity and virtuosity.
Best guitarist I have ever had the pleasure to see in concert. Mr. Donohue is the Van Halen of the humble acoustic guitar.
Brilliant
A ten minute lesson that is worth many hours of teaching... Best bang for a free buck ever! Many thanks!
