You guys should do the marvel drug awareness and safety comics. I remember there's a smoking one with Spider-man, Storm, and Luke Cage.
I didn't know I needed that in my life until now
Ah yes. The free give away comics that smelled vaguely of cigarettes that introduced Smokescreen: the villain who oddly never became an ironic joke villain and featured purple skin-tight, midriff outfit Storm.
Oh yeah there's actually 2 of these, the original one from the 80s (Storm in her original black one-piece and cape, Luke in his puffy yellow shirt) and then the basically shot for shot remake from the 2000s with updated costumes and references.
Yeah. And neither made much sense as to why Luke Cage was there. In the 80's, he was just kind of a left over blaxploitation character that most readers probably overlooked in favor of like the X-Men, Spider-Man, and Daredevil. In the 2000's, he was just kind of a dated stereotype that no mainstream readers knew about because he didn't have a movie like Spider-Man or the X-Men did.
Also, bizarrely, the updating of the costumes was weird because neither Storm nor Cage were wearing those costumes then. Storm wasn't in the comics much (outside of X-Treme X-Men) and Luke Cage was transitioning into his New Avengers/bald look. {Correction, I did look both designs up from the time, and LC did match up better, but the New Avengers look was the 2000's look that most people remember}.

A decent Venom and Ghost Rider story from the 90s was Spirits of Venom, it's got Spiderman and Johnny Blaze too.
Venom needing chocolate actually makes sense if you read the panel. The reason Venom bites heads off is because the symbiote needs a chemical called phenethylamine to stay sane. It is a chemical produced in the brain of living things, but it's also found in chocolate. That's why at the end of the Venom movie he asks for tater tots AND chocolate when they're at the convenience store. The fact that the writers could incorporate such a scientific little factoid into a silly comic book character is impressive IMO.

Villain's plan: Stab Venom (who in the previous issue proved he was IMMUNE to the poison) and Ghost Rider (who is a skeleton on fire) and inject them with poison. Yeah, no way that won't work.

My favorite part of this comic is the part where Arachnord thinks he can poison Ghost Rider. I mean Venom maybe, if you get through the symbiote and just straight up inject brock? But even then I feel like the symbiote would be able to fix it. Either way Ghost Rider is a flaming skeleton. How do you poison a skeleton?

It's also kind of sad because the strict operating procedures of the MCU will probably prevent the character from being redone on a big screen level with a budget big enough to support CGI dragons and top-tier fight choreography. Like, now the only way that the character can be adapted or appear is as he has been since S1 and in Defenders/Luke Cage appearances (if Defenders ever gets a sequel/second season).
