Glad I found this video. I was about to return the radio because I thought it could only do 40 EU channels and the UK channels were missing because I'd been sent the wrong model. Just set it to "U" and it now works as exptected. I didn't want to wide-band it because this particular radio will be used by a new user who won't necessary know when they are in or out of the legal bands.
In honest truth TalkBack is not something I use. But from what I have seen I would say that it's okay it may sound a bit louder through a extension speaker
Hi this is the eu version,, I haven't modded mine yet. But some information is here on RUclips or here www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=delboyonline.blogspot.com/2019/05/president-mckinley-eu-export-mod.html%3Fm%3D1&ved=2ahUKEwjm3Yfzk7f4AhWdgv0HHYY7BGAQFnoECBYQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0EGD95gOhIOfzXz-Ca6ckO
@@lambrettadave7 Thank you very much for the quick answer. The EU model is the one sold on Amazon? Or do all Mckinleys have the option to expand the frequencies with the method you sent me in the link? Excuse me the English, I'm using the google translator.
All eu models are expandable. Other McKinley model is the USA version which isn't expandable so try to avoid it the USA version clearly states that it is the USA version with a badge on the front saying USA
At the time of the video was done there wasn't a FCC version of the McKinley and I apologize for any inconvenience however I will have a look at the title. Thanks
The band's in the video are all legal so are accessible from the f button. However to get a wide band coverage you need to snip a white hoop wire inside the radio
Fantastic video , thank you for sharing , it's been a huge help on unboxing my new President Mc Kinley .
Glad it to be of use to you

I am glad you found it useful. I haven't wide banded mine as I have other radios that are wide banded so I have kept the McKinley as a legal radio
Is talkback loud enough on this radio?
In honest truth TalkBack is not something I use.

Hi I just got one yesterday, it's expanded and I can't find the 27.555 or 27.305 have you found it on your radio.
I haven't expanded mine yet, but EU/cept is band A and 27.555 is band B try using the F key
I am thinking about modding mine as the warranty has finished now
Re title video Non FCC model
UK President Veesion .
Useless info in USA

Sounds like a bit PLT noise you have there.... 🤔
I was out side of my house at the time
Great video do you have to do a mod to change to diff bands or just hold down the button ?
Horrible reveiver in these radios. Drive a man crazy no thanks give me old school radios that actually have some filters in them.

@@jamesvw769 old radios are still great if they are working correctly.
My advice is to watch thing's that you have a better interest in
d = Deutschland (Germany ) 80 Channel FM and 40 AM !!!
Thank you for your information
