    Ive been bow hunting for 15 years and i bought one of these the first week they came out. I will say i don't need top of the line gear to hunt. With the price point of this by its great for things it can do. i would buy this 10/10 and would recommend to any new hunter or any hunter that's like me and doesn't need to break the bank to get the job done.

    Very helpful video. Are you planning to make a follow up video on how to adjust draw length and weight? I just got this exact bow myself but I haven't seen anyone else cover it.

      Thank you! I discuss changing draw length in my review of the Bowtech Amplify. The Edge XT will be a very similar process except you do not have the option to change between Comfort and Performance. Link to the video is below and I discuss the mods at the 12 minute mark. ruclips.net/video/XIWp1RsvVJc/видео.html

    I wish it was just a bit quicker. I have handled the bow and its a good grip and balances well

    Great vid! Wish I would’ve seen that Diamond was going to be putting out a slightly bigger bow with a slightly longer draw. I would’ve gotten this instead of the edge 320 last week.

      Thanks! The Edge 320 is a nice bow as well with the binary cams. It's a little faster as well. I just received my first Edge XT this week, dealers should know about them.

    Which is the better bow Diamond Edge xt or the Diamond Edge 320?

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  2 дня назад

      I wouldn't say that one is better than the other, but each are built differently. The Edge 320 is going to be a little more expensive, but it will have a binary cam and will be faster. The XT has yokes, but draws smoother. The grips are different as well. The XT has a smaller grip and will fit female and youth hands better.

    If they advertise it at 300FPS, why are you only getting 230 FPS?

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  2 года назад +5

      Because I am only shooting 28" at 60# and a 435 grain arrow. Most speed testing is done at 30" and 70# with a 350 grain arrow. I was testing a typical hunting setup. Thanks!

    How does this compare to the infinite 305? My wife is wanting to get into bow hunting and we’re trying to find a good bow for small frame.

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  2 года назад +1

      Specs are similar and draw cycle will be similar. The XT will be more stable with the split limbs and likely less vibration. The 305 will be a little lighter which sometimes matters to women shooters. Both are nice bows for the price. Try them both if you can!

    New to hunting! I am really debating on the the Edge XT or the Infinite 305. I know the only major difference is that the Edge has split limbs and is only $20 more right now, but which one would you recommend?

      Most hunters are drawing less than 70 lbs in my experience. In my shop I see most between 55 and 65 lbs, and test for "real world" numbers

  • @perryortiz917

    I Recently ordered this bow I’m new to archery hunting my draw is a 31” I’ll probably have it at 60 lbs. What size and grain arrows should I use. I’m thinking 32” carbon 350 spine any help I’d appreciate it. Thank you

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  2 года назад +1

      At your draw length you will need a stiffer spine. I would recommend a 300 spine arrow and the arrow length will be close to your draw length, but your local pro shop should be able to help you with this. For a standard hunting setup, an arrow weight in the mid 400 grain range would be ideal.

  • @maximusendeavor
    @maximusendeavor 2 года назад

    Thank you for the review, do you know by any chance if the draw length is 31.5 cuz on websites it says 31. And would it stay 31.5 for the highest poundage? Thanks

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  2 года назад +1

      The mod has one index mark past 31 and the holes line up for it. However Diamond says max draw of 31"

    How does this compare to the Alter?

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  Год назад

      They will both have a smooth draw, the Alter will be faster, but with more felt vibration. The grip on the Edge XT will be a little slimmer and shorter than what is on the Alter. Both are nice bows, but with different can system there is a noticeable difference between the two. It really comes down to personal preference.

    • @ambrosekillpack4841
      @ambrosekillpack4841 2 года назад

      @@coyotecreekarchery I'm totally confused. Don't you want to run as much poundage as your bow has to offer when it comes to hunting? More power = more penetration and therefore a better shot at an ethical kill after all.

    • @coyotecreekarchery
      @coyotecreekarchery  2 года назад

      @@ambrosekillpack4841 With modern bows this isn't necessary. I have never had an issue with penetration on deer, but I have had times in the cold when I could not draw my bow. Shoot the most draw weight that you are comfortable with, make sure that it is well tuned, setup your arrow for good penetration, only take ethical shots, and you'l fill the freezer! Thanks!
