Those ford have some of the very best 7.3L PowerStroke diesels that ford ever put in them. Sure do wish theyd go back to those body styles cause you actually felt like you were in a truck and not some fancy SUV with a bed lol
This movie was epic and a personal favorite of mine back when I was going through that whole trucker phase as kid. If they remake this movie, they should use a all black Peterbilt 389 with a bullbar on front like those road trains in Australia.Picture that.
Its funny you brought up Australia lol cause the guy that actually does own the peterbilt from blackdog lives in Australia and bought the truck from warner brothers and had it shipped to Australia and the last thing i do remember reading about it was that he was pulling road train triples with it hauling gasoline across western Australia
At the 2:25 mark- let that be a lesson to you. Trucks can brake a lot harder than cars, and cars explode like a bomb when they submarine under the back of a semi trailer! Add that to the other little-known facts that movies have educated us about, like tires make a squealing noise when you spin them, even on gravel or grass, and the view when you look through binoculars is pinched in the middle right where the object you want to examine close up is, and when you rear end another car you actually go up on two wheels on one side and jump over it! These are things the general public never realized until we saw them on TV and in the movies.
ya wanna see a killer submarine under the trailer, look up "seven ups car chase" on youtube and wait for the end. you learn why trailers come with the bracing under the rear doors.
factory performance cars, music, open road, and accidents done without CGI or green screen. In the 1970's, drive-ins were filled with movies filled with this.
Favorite line in the movie "Remember what I said about gearing down and braking just right? TSK TSK!!" Yes grandma and I have watched this a few times
2:20 that semi trucks brakes are crazy strong
Bad ass car chase scenes they were, two of my all time fave cars the IROC-Z and CHEVY MONTE CARLO 👍
Yeah you can drive, what a classic line
I still have this movie
I like that old boxy style Ford F-350 pickup that Red was driving & I still see a lot of those generation Ford F-series trucks out on the roads too.
