Liked this through, but clear, quick and useful review format. I watched this specifically because I enjoy doubled Oaked bourbons, but the price on this one made me want to do some research, and your review was the most useful one I found. Thanks!
Oh great! Super glad to hear that this was helpful to you, that’s why we make them. We haven’t gotten too much feedback on the format so your comment is helpful to us. We’ll be making more Rapid Reviews - cheers! 🥃
Picked up a bottle at Ladd’s in Muskegon. Wasn’t aware of the age ranges you mentioned but happy to know it’s some mature juice! Very enjoyable sipper…
It’s definitely a decent bourbon! This is the double Oaked and we learned after the video that it’s a blend of 8 - 15 year bourbons just like the straight bourbon is. For us though, it just didn’t punch in its weight class for double oak bottles 🥊🤷♂️ but it stands as a decent bourbon in general. Cheers! 🥃
Thank you for watching! We think the straight bourbon has a better balance, and while we found the double oaked enjoyable, we felt there are better options out there for double oaked expressions (including Woodford Double Oaked, or Old Forester 1910). But if/when you buy a bottle and give it a pour, we’d love for you to return here to this comment thread and share your thoughts with us. Cheers! 🥃
@@homebario Old Forester 1910. Great choice I do have that one. The Woodford Double Oak. I don't have yet...but I am going to get it soon. The other one I do have is this one: Sagamore Rye Double Oak. It is amazing flavor bomb. I'm going to get the Sagamore, Bottle and Bond next to.
Definitely! We were curious as to how long this was aged in a second barrel, but didn't hear back from the brand...that could've provided some clues as to what was happening with this one. But either way, their straight bourbon whiskey is a solid grab! Cheers man 🥃
Thanks for watching! This video was published nearly two years ago, and I think it was reviewed shortly after the bottle became available. We research each bottle thoroughly, but not all info is publicly available at time of review. We’d be glad to update the age statement in the description. However, even the limited info we had at the time still isn’t “misinformation” - we said it’s aged at least two years. It is. Have a good day!

We haven’t gotten into Sagamore but have only heard good things. We’ll keep an eye out for that double oaked! Thanks for the tip 👍👍
@@homebario Right on🥃you will enjoy it.
double oak is tricky business, it definitely can be over done at times.

Much older than what you said. Know your facts before spreading misinformation to the public.
