  • The Dr.Scientist BitQuest! This pedal has been well over a year in the making, I had to learn a whole new programming language to make it, (Spin FV-1 based) and it's really weird and fun. The BitQuest is a simple multi-effect pedal, no menus or presets, but it has 8 different weird and cool effects and enough control to be quite powerful. This is a really experimental and creative pedal, full of adventurous sounds.
    Here's the features:
    - 8 custom designed effect patches: Flanger, High Pass and Low Pass Filters, Bit Crusher with Sample Rate Reducer, Infinite Reverb, Notch Filter, Ring Modulator, +/- 1 Octave Pitch Shifter/Harmonizer, 1 Second Digital Delay.
    - 2 modes of operation, Clean and Dirty. Clean mode has more control over the effects, dirty mode gives each patch a cool digital distortion control with noise gate.
    - Analog controls include clean blend, volume for wet signal, tone for wet signal, plus 3 digital controls for the effects.
    - Soft touch relay switching, lifetime warranty, hand-programmed, hand-built, and hand-shipped by Dr. Scientist.

    I was eyeing this thing for years, I finally got it, and just love it. All my fave synth effects,now for my guitar! This video demonstrates how warm and effed up the sounds come out as which is exactly the sound I’m looking for, beauty meets chaos, guitar meets synth. This is the album I’ve been trying to make in a pedal. And the el Capistrano is the perfect pairing with it! I’m so glad you gave that pedal too!

      At right about the 7:07 mark. Not the exact song but reminiscent of "Six Days At the Bottom of the Ocean"

    The reverb is the best. All The other efects have no much of an use to me.

    Would love to use it with a synth but the fact that there is no stereo output option still makes it a decision for me....

      +Marc-Étienne Paradis what is the stereo output for?

    • @mep6014
      @mep6014 8 лет назад

      +Jon Hobgood Stereo outputs does exactly what you think they do. They send the audio out in stereo. Not really useful if you play guitar with a single amp. But as I like to use guitar pedals to produce effects with my synthetizers and with a pair of studio monitors, the output that comes out of these pedals is in MONO, not STEREO, which is a bit annoying when you know you can get STEREO results with other pedals.
