I just bought this pedal because robot whales. And you. My week has improved considerably since finding your channel, and I can't wait to start playing with the Bitquest. Thanks for upping the pedal demo game. May I never waste another moment watching some geezer drone on like a talking instruction manual in between barfing out bullshit blues noodles.
P.S. I bought this pedal. Some things are cool for about 10 seconds when the novelty wears off and you realise there's no practical use for those sounds, but there's dozens of sounds that are really great and useable because the thing just has so many different effects built into it! It's good in synths too.
Your videos are mini works of art. They never once stray from their primary function and that is to demonstrate the pedal, but still they're beautiful to watch anyway.
The way you dialogue in your videos reminds me SO much of the dialogue schemes in Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, I don't know why!! Awesome videos though, I love them all.
Ryan at Dr. Scientist pedals is wicked. Amazing service and effects. I am extremely happy with his pedals. How a husband and wife in their basement basically put out some of the most original and high quality pedals is a cosmic riddle. Thank you. Knobs demos are also amaze balls. Congrats.
I love your videos (not just the demos). There is such a sense of tranquility and humor to them. They make me really relaxed and happy. I think your joy in creating them really transcends to the viewers. Thank you for sharing your work with us. :)
I'm in love with this channel already and this is the first video I have seen. You totally sold me on BitQuest. Not sure if it was the sounds the pedal made and the child like fun the descriptions had but it had a nostalgic mood. Like when you're barely learning to play guitar . Not sure how to describe it but I'm subscribed!
This is studio gear. I would never put this on a pedalboard unless my job was to just make crazy sounds the whole time. Lol this pedal has like every effect and they all sound incredible.
Just found this channel, and wow. Such a cool way to find pedals. Not that I don't appreciate user reviews of pedals (I watch tons of the), but sometimes its nice to see some production value and not just a old dirty basement backdrop shot on a flip phone.
Love experimental pedals like this. Unique sounds and great sound quality. Look forward to doing some crazy stuff with this. Thanks for the demo as always!
There is a galaxy of sounds many whacked out and many perfectly straight up and useful in a wide range of situations that lurk in this thing. One could make a fantastic rig with about 8 of these little bastards.
Random quotidian items, check. Sumptuous guitar playing, check. Perfectly crafted prose, check. The opening of my wallet, absolutely. You're videos are candy.
Hi there bitquest lovers : just to let you know that on this The Cure cover I did, all guitars and synth are through the bitquest, only effect used in that song : ruclips.net/video/y2odZFSTwqw/видео.html hope you like it, Dr Scientist rules !
Do you use any other pedals or effects, or post production effects when you demo this or other pedals? These are exceptional reviews of very uncommon and unique pedals, I feel like I've found a little treasure trove. So much thought and pleasant aesthetic are put into them. Please don't stop!
This is by far one of the best pedal's demo I have ever seen. This pedal is so amazing and the video is dead on the money! It's pure art. I would like to know your opinion about this... I have been thinking to buy like 3 bit quest and use then in a daisy chain? What do you think? Could you give me an advice about that? I would like to use one just with reverb, one just with delay and one for modulation stuff. I know it sounds kinda stupid because I could invest in like a reverb and a delay pedal instead, but I love so much the sounds in this pedal. Plus, if I want to do crazy experimental music I can change the reverb to another weird effect and add that to the other effects. I mean, I would have a lot of different combinations to play around.
+Jowannabe I'm with it, it's a great idea. You could make an entire pedalboard with just the Bit Quest. Also, you couldn't be supporting a better company. Buy one and see how it feels underfoot!
Since this pedal does so many things, where would one place this in their signal chain? I understand it depends on context (what you will be using the pedal for, mainly), but if the strength of this pedal lies in its versatility, what do i do if i want to take advantage of that throughout a live set? I dont want to have to keep moving the pedal around if for one song I want to use its cool bit-y pitch shift distortion (generally at the beginning of the signal chain), and then for another I want to use its delay (generally at the end). Or is this not something I should fret over? Also I love your videos! I mean it when I say they are works of art in and of themselves, in a similar way to how a documentary can be informative yet still artistic. I can't STAND those gear reviews where it just treats the pedals as if they are artless machines. Pedals are coloristic and beautiful, and the approach to them shouldnt be so businesslike!
Everytime I think’ “I don’t think I have to drop all this money for this, if there’s other pedals that can do these sounds”. But I forget how wrong I am on that note every. time.
Your videos are fantastic! best out there, pure art. Not only do you make me want to get these pedals, but the things you do with them inspire ideas for settings with my existing pedals. keep it up! def going to get this pedal just from that crazy sprinkle delay sound at the end! One question... since this thing does so much, where would you put it in your chain???
Great question. I expect that no matter what you decide, it will change. Pedalboard order is far more subjective than it's made out to be. Where things go depends entirely on what you are trying to do. The BitQuest! is an excellent chance to try unorthodox effects placement. (I put mine right about in the middle).
Dude, the pedals you show are amazing and everything bu5t what's up with yu guitar playing??? It's so sick!!! I'd love to see a video of you playing guitar or explaining how you play guitar? It just sounds magical man! Could that be something you'd do a video about??
s0alaih I did :) the other modes are cool to but hearing someone use the bit crusher mode play one of my favorite Mars Volta riffs was instant check mate.
Hi Knobs! Any chance you have a demo of this pedal, but for bass? Or could you possibly make one? You have the best pedal demonstrations I've heard/seen, I'm just not sure how this pedal would translate to bass
Dear You,
Thank you.
Sincerely,
All Of Us

You just warmed a heart. Thank you, and have a stupendous quest.
This comment gave me such deep, real joy
so many good words right here
gracow I
gracow this is the best comment ever
Love it, Scott, thank you again! And thanks for checking it out, folks!
+DrScientistSounds
Heck yeah
I don't own a guitar. I just come here to see bits of fine wood.
same here!! what the frack...?!? I thought I was the only one!!
I come here for the pedals.
Knobs is the only channel where you can have glasses of alcohol and dancing hands in a pedal demo and it makes perfect sense.
Love what you do.
P.S. I bought this pedal. Some things are cool for about 10 seconds when the novelty wears off and you realise there's no practical use for those sounds, but there's dozens of sounds that are really great and useable because the thing just has so many different effects built into it!

**Chants to self**
I do not need another pedal...
I do not need another pedal...
I do not need another pedal...
You DO need another pedal.
The ideal amount of pedals is always n+1 where n represents the current amount of pedals.
Helge Taksdal thank you for this equation it all makes sense now
Helge Taksdal square the 1 and it’s closer to correct
@@masmachina803 square the one?
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I wish all gear demos could be this well thought out and awesome.
Sean Clyde Corry I just saw this video and realized I'd already like it. Lol way to go, me.
Half as good would be grand
The way you dialogue in your videos reminds me SO much of the dialogue schemes in Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, I don't know why!! Awesome videos though, I love them all.
flying v!
This is incredible. I feel like anyone who buys this automatically becomes a member of Radiohead. I want it.
Hahahahahaha! Well said
Ryan at Dr. Scientist pedals is wicked. Amazing service and effects. I am extremely happy with his pedals. How a husband and wife in their basement basically put out some of the most original and high quality pedals is a cosmic riddle. Thank you.
Knobs demos are also amaze balls. Congrats.
these are absolutely the most beautiful and inspiring pedal demos congratulations
As a shoegaze guitar player I can connect emotionally with this channel. Thanks lol
I don't know why but "chompin' lemons with the boys" had me in stitches.
I need that on a shirt.
Just chompin lemons with the boys!
This might be the best pedal demo video I have ever seen.
...and I've see a lot of pedal demo videos.
This was by far the most interesting and intertwining demo I've ever seen. I've watched this 3x now.
I love your videos (not just the demos). There is such a sense of tranquility and humor to them. They make me really relaxed and happy. I think your joy in creating them really transcends to the viewers. Thank you for sharing your work with us. :)
Best pedal demo I've ever seen
Best review I've ever seen.
Your channel is gold. Love the demos, man! Keep them coming
More of these more often, please. Like, two a day would suffice. Very good. Thank you.
Perfect demo, art and science, love it! Keep going!
Just chompin' lemons with the boys...
This is bloody excellent! Bitquest and the video.
Love the work on this one! Crazy cool sounds too!
This is by far the best pedal demonstration! Hilarious and now I want one..
fantastic video showcasing an awesome pedal. thanks for making it so comprehensive!
I'm in love with this channel already and this is the first video I have seen. You totally sold me on BitQuest. I really enjoy the production and formatting of these demos bro, its very freshing
another amazing video of another amazing pedal
This is studio gear. I would never put this on a pedalboard unless my job was to just make crazy sounds the whole time. Lol this pedal has like every effect and they all sound incredible.
this is so relaxing
I have a Bitquest and I still watch this video almost bi-monthly
Just found this channel, and wow. Such a cool way to find pedals. Not that I don't appreciate user reviews of pedals (I watch tons of the), but sometimes its nice to see some production value and not just a old dirty basement backdrop shot on a flip phone.
An awesome pedal like this deserves this amazing demo vid !!
just chompin' lemons.... I love this channel
This pedal looks insanely amazing! I gotta start saving. Well done man.
I was already sold on this pedal, and now I need it RIGHT NOW
the playing in these demos is seriously great. i like how you can sound "glitchy" even with the pedals turned off.
Love experimental pedals like this. Unique sounds and great sound quality. Look forward to doing some crazy stuff with this. Thanks for the demo as always!
think I'm gonna get this now. thanks Knobs!
This is the best video on the internet.
I swear you got this one from Paul's Boutique for super cheap in Toronto!
Knobs: "Science jazz."
Me: "YES HELLO YOU HAVE CAUGHT MY INTEREST."
I've watched this so many times before I bought a bitquest and now I watch it to use knobs settings.
Thank you!!!
absolutely in love with these videos. Nothing else on RUclips has made me spend so much money. What do you use to make the loops for all these demos?
There is a galaxy of sounds many whacked out and many perfectly straight up and useful in a wide range of situations that lurk in this thing. One could make a fantastic rig with about 8 of these little bastards.
Amazing as always mate
Such sweet bits
Hi man, you finally did it. I bought it. Are you happy?
Random quotidian items, check.
Sumptuous guitar playing, check.

best review ever
This demo is ridiculous, as in ridiculously good. I wonder how many pedals are sold strictly because of your demos...
Josh Money I got mine because of it, so atleast one lol
I bought the Walrus audio Julia right after his demo. 0 regret.
Can’t wait to get mine in the mail!
Do you use any other pedals or effects, or post production effects when you demo this or other pedals? These are exceptional reviews of very uncommon and unique pedals, I feel like I've found a little treasure trove. So much thought and pleasant aesthetic are put into them. Please don't stop!
+Stephen Albrecht No sir! What you see is what you hear.
Didn't see what everyone else apparently hears or saw. I could only get away with the flange in the club situation. God bless all.
Grandma says 'goodbye'.
I just sold her on ebay.
I now have enough money for a Bitquest.
That feedback is BONKERS

Mate, do you do all of the animations and production yourself on these videos? It's supreme! great work :D
Just chompin' lemons with the boys

+Knobs hey all! I just got this pedal in the mail. Thanks again of making all of these videos! looking forward to many more
My basses uses one of these, I tried. Bought one next day. Great video but it's capabilities go beyond what is shown here.
I thought it will be just a bit crusher. Pleasant surprise.
first pedal making me think "i actually need this"
Well I'm buying this immediately.
Really cool
At like 1:49-1:53 you hit perfect Jack White tone.
Causing a scene.
LMAO! Talk about my retirement money some more.
This video is so pretty
Sold
"you can smash your bits just right" lol
Dude, the pedals you show are amazing and everything bu5t what's up with yu guitar playing??? It's so sick!!! I'd love to see a video of you playing guitar or explaining how you play guitar? It just sounds magical man! Could that be something you'd do a video about??
And now my quest for bit pedal begins....
Goddamn, even the FUZZ is incredible on this thing
PS: your demos are things of beauty.
I literally was in awe at the sound of 7:25...
this is the swiss army knife of fun tones
HOLY SHIT.
1:43 i literally farted a few seconds before this started.
Guitar fart pedal.
I would buy this just for the bitcrusher
s0alaih I did :) the other modes are cool to but hearing someone use the bit crusher mode play one of my favorite Mars Volta riffs was instant check mate.
I haven't heard anyone specifically use it that I can remember, buy I've always loved how they make the guitar sound. I use it often in my mixes.
Cool, wasn't expecting the infinite verb...
I really enjoy your playing in this one. Do you have a soundcloud?
i want all the pedals you guys review!!!
oh geeze
I'd love a Red Panda Particle demo!
+Lehr Christian It's in the works!
well this is interesting, i get serious radiohead vibes from this pedal
that bit crusher had me finding audio god
Hey, I found another pedal that you should demo. The "Possesed" by MASF. I'm sure you could conjure some amazing tones.
I have wanted one of those for ages.
Can't say when, but it will happen.
Hi Knobs! Any chance you have a demo of this pedal, but for bass? Or could you possibly make one? You have the best pedal demonstrations I've heard/seen, I'm just not sure how this pedal would translate to bass
Need it
Fab
7:20 - Like when Mike Teavee gets chopped into a million little pieces in Willy Wonka...
is it out there another pedal that could give that old fashioned lo-fi sound at 4:50 ?
Lo-fi junky? I guess. Check it out. Not too sure though.
around 2:00 i was hearing some jack white in there
