This is the best multi effects pedal for us, and we shall never be without it. There are several reasons for this:
1. The tones. Beautiful and expressive, extremely touch responsive, amazing.
2. The analog dry through. Rarely you will find such transparency anywhere.
3. The versatility. It has literally all the basics + so much more.
4. The controls. So powerful and varied yet simple, unique in multi fx world
5. The expression pedal. The possibilities it offers are simply staggering.

Best demo of this pedal to date!! Thank you.
We are honored to hear this! Thank you deeply! ❀ʕ 。•㉨•ʔ人ʕ•㉨•。 ʔ❀
This Rewiew completely defined my choice for a multi fx, it is as complete as the manual itself. I made contact with Dr. Scientist to acquire 1 pedal, but fortunately I found one on Ebay, which was at auction in Kansas, my pedal is now one of the first models is the number 50 manufactured. And I managed to bring him to Brazil, to do tropical madness! Thank you very much Panda for your generosity in sharing this amazing video.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! °˖✧◝ʕ˵◕ᴥ◕˵ʔʕ˵◕ᴥ◕˵ʔ◜✧˖° This comment really made our day!
Wow, one of the first 50, that's such a find! Congratulations, may you have the most flabbergasting, swashbuckling, red-pandian tropical fun with it, it is completely unique!! And if you can find one, definitely recommending an Atmosphere too, they are all analog-dry-through so you can chain them all together without a care in the world for supreme tone! These two pedals, the BitQuest and the Atmosphere, there has never been and there will never be anything like them again, ever! Keep them and take care of them and play them to the fullest extent!
Blessings to you, and thank you so much for your support! \ʕ 。>ᴥᴥ
This demo is EPIC! I actually just pulled the trigger on a Bit Quest and it’s largely because of this video. Thank you for going in depth and capturing all the nuances that make this pedal so incredible! Y’all rock!
We're the happiest in the world to know that you appreciated our video! Thank you so much, and we deeply hope our coming videos will inspire as well! ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ
That Infinite Reverb Fuzz! Sounds so sad yet beautiful. Great pedal
Thank you so much!! We were simply astonished by that Infinite Reverb, and we shall make a special video about it alone to showcase even more of it! And there will be a separate playlist with this pedal for going even deeper into every patch! The BitQuest literally has it all! dʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔb
Bought the pedal because of this vid. Thanks and good job!
Thank you too for being here with us! The Bitquest is one of the most amazing pedals ever made, and in so many roles. Ours will never leave us. ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ
I love the ring mod clean with CTRL1 all the way down. Im determined to find some use for ring mod with CTRL1 anywhere other than all the way down but I haven’t been able to find it yet.
Man I’ve been loving this pedal the last few weeks since I got it. The delay, reverb, and flange especially. I’ve got screenshots of every setting you’re using in this video and use those as starting points to explore. It’s so awesome. Thanks again for the super helpful video.
We are literally the happiest to hear this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ✧◝ʕ˵⁀ᴥ⁀˵ʔʕ˵⁀ᴥ⁀˵ʔ◜✧ YESSS, the BitQuest is a never-ending cornucopia of cool AND COMPLETELY UNIQUE effects. Some of the tones it has (like the address modulation delay), can literally only be found in the Bitquest. And if you need more cool settings and suggestions, definitely check our BitQuest playlist, it's a treasure of info:

About the Ring Mod: the secret to it is to tune CTRL1 (here it controls RATE) to the EXACT frequency of your root note and experiment from there! There are many, MANY positions that work with many many frequencies (i.e. notes) in there. Several notes resonate in every position and one of the keys is to find which works best with your note choice. It can be a great tremolo, but it's one of the nicest ring mods too.
In short: hit a note and tune CTRL1 until you find the exact position where it all resonates. And experiment from there!
Let us know if you have more questions, and thank you deeply for your support! ♬◝ʕ⁀▽⁀ʔʕ⁀▽⁀ʔ◜♬
I messed around with this pedal at a guitar shop couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get one good sound from it. I mean I was giggling like an idiot as I impatiently turned knobs like crazy. I didn’t know what I was doing. Decided not to get the pedal but I felt like I was missing something. I stumbled across this demo and realized I was ignorant on how the controls worked. I pulled the trigger on a used one and am loving it so very deeply. Thank you for your wonderful demo.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ♬◝ʕ⁀▽⁀ʔʕ⁀▽⁀ʔ◜♬ And yes, the BitQuest is one of the coolest pedals in history, without a doubt, and one that we will keep forever!
Also, if you want another awesome Dr Scientist creation, get the Atmosphere too. Like the BitQuest, it is completely unique in the world: it can do standards & classics but it goes far, FAR beyond! It's discontinued at this point and may be tough to find used, but if we all tell Dr Scientist to make a v2, he may budge, lol)))) Here it is in all its glory, otherworldly:

@@PairofPandas I’ll give it a look! Thanks again!
@@AtomFry Thank you too for being here with us! ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ
this is a really great demo. i just ordered one of these!
Thank you so much!! We are the happiest to know that we helped! And if you ever have any questions, we will be right here to assist ʕ◠ᴥ◠ʔʕ◠ᴥ◠ʔb
Subscribed.
Thank you so much!! We shall do our best to impress! ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ
Great demo. I might need this pedal. Probably. Near certain.
Thank you so much!! The BitQuest is just legendary awesome, there is literally NOTHING like it, and it does so many classic tones perfectly too. The minimum amount of BitQuest one NEEDS cannot be less than one!! vʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔv
@@PairofPandas I've also been considering the Bitmap2, and I know they're quite different, but I think I'm gonna start with the BitQuest. It seems a little more fun and useful for my NEEDS.
@@ArtOfShredYT The BitQuest can do almost everything the Bitmap 2 does, and way, way more than that! Plus, the BitQuest has analog dry through, which means it never passes your dry signal through any digital conversion, just the analog buffers and summing amp. No lag, super transparent tone, always! And it does all the bread-and-butter stuff too, like simple delay, reverb, chorus and everything, all without changing your dry tone!
There's literally nothing like the BQ, except maybe The Atmosphere, but even it is quite different, but that's another pedal where there is nothing quite like it, not even BitQuest, haha! Granted, they can do some of the things the other does. For example, both can do the Infinite Reverb with LFO modded predelay, both can do standard delay, tremolo, chorus, etc.
Go with the BitQuest, you shall never find a situation not to use it, even for the most basic stuff! Let us know when you get it, and thank you again for being here with us!
\ʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔ/
@@PairofPandas Well damn, I guess BitQuest it is then! :)
@@ArtOfShredYT Hooray, hahaha))) You will enjoy it! \ʕ 。>ᴥᴥ
I just received this pedal, and if I were to give insight, I’d say you definitely need an expression pedal. It’s dead otherwise
Very happy to hear that you got this pedal! We're getting the most incredible tones out of our mighty BitQuest both with and without an expression pedal. There is no paramount need for one unless all you use from it is solely the #2 hi/lo pass filters and #5 notch filter and nothing else. Definitely make use of all the native adjustments and explore all the patches thoroughly to get the true meaning of BitQuest! And yes, the expression pedal control is awesome too! Not mandatory though))
And thank you so much for watching! ʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔb
I am wondering, where in your chain do you prefer your Bitquest?
We usually experiment here so we enjoy using everything every which way! But right now, at least with delay and reverb, we like the wonderful pristine clarity of going after the drive with our BitQuest a bit more! But just in case you'd like to use it with amp gain and you don't have an fx loop, we tried it and it's still very clear, even though a bit different! Plus, it works with everything from keyboards to guitars, so you can even use it with your line level interface to add it after all that juicy amp drive if you want to add effects to your recordings!
There will be a list of (at least) nine more videos to cover every one of the patches in every signal chain situation and tonal possibility, so we hope you'll enjoy that too!
Thank you so much for watching! ʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔV
I have had this pedal for 2 years and still amazed by it.
@@bullet0657 Our thoughts exactly! There will never be a time without it, even if they decide to make a v2. It's here to stay and be useful, forever! ʕ◉ᴥ◠ʔʕ◠ᴥ◉ʔb
@@bullet0657 I've had it for about as long, potentially 3 years by this point, I can't remember. Still finding new ways to use it. And I have an expression pedal now so I can dive into that aspect more as well.
@@thelo-fidelityarchive597 Totally agree! And the expression pedal offers a lot of versatility indeed, there's literally no end to what this pedal can do! Also, we're big fans of it's drive tones as well! It's just so awesome ʕ。ᵔᴥᵔ。ᵔᴥᵔ。ʔb
Give us a multi stomp box please!
Oh yes!! But even if Dr Scientist does a BitQuest 2.0 (or an Atmosphere 2.0!! ฅ(´。• O •。`)(´。• O •。`)ฅ ) We shall still keep our first generation BitQuest along with it!
In the meantime, watch the Atmosphere for some rocking Dr Scientist action:
