@@johnm2482 That is a hreat idea for something You want to be 1/4" thick!! Thank You. Won't work for these as they need be paper thin but a great tip for a cookie thing 🤩
A rubber band on each end of the rolling pin could work since they’re thinner than stir sticks. The trick is finding two identical rubber bands that are small enough.
@@johnm2482Way Back Then.... When they were still giving away yard sticks, I used those on both sides to fill out pastry and cookie dough. Even if you needed it a bit thinner it was a good level start
There are actually rolling pins that come with attachments for rolling stuff out to specific thicknesses and I think HomeGoods has them sometimes. But if you already have a rolling pin, these hacks sound great! Skewers would probably work well for thicknesses in between 1/4” and a rubber band.
Just put a clump of the chicken in between two pieces of parchment and place a large pot on top of it and press down to squish it to your desired thickness. I do to make keto tortilla shells and they come out perfect. I would also flip it part way through to get the bottom to dry out as well. then cool on wire a wire rack without the parchment under it.
I used a tortilla press, measured out about 2 tablespoons at a time, parchment paper on top and bottom, baked at 350, scored through the paper with a pizza cutter, removed the parchment paper from both sides about halfway through the baking time. Perfect!
I bet these are a lot more filling than the cottage cheese chips! If I try it I'll take small portions and roll into a ball and put in a tortilla press, then cut into six wedges before putting in the oven. In theory, that should work. In practice, well, I'll edit my comment when I try it! 😆
I tried them and I guess I rolled them a little thicker than I thought because they were a tiny bit chewy. However, I microwaved a few of them for about 20 seconds and they got pretty crispy.
I think the idea of shutting the oven off and leaving in with door slightly open is a good idea. Wait until oven is cool to take out the chips. Most likely chips would be super crispy.
I would press out the chicken with my hands before I added the spices and dab it with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible. Then, as another commenter suggested, I would flip it halfway through baking.
Please Try Budding Chicken (2 ounce package) lightly sprinkle with Rib Rack Spicy Sugar Free Seasoning. I dehydrate at 165 degrees for 2 hours - BBQ meat chips. (actually I do this with Greek, Cajun, Danno's, Ranch, or your favorite flavor)
Ooooo... Wondering if these would make good taco shells... 🤔 Maybe drape them over a taco form during the time they're drying out w the oven door open? Now I'm hangry for Mexican food. 😅
my thought is if you score it before putting in the oven then it will be easier to break apart for a dorito shaped chip.. and I would think that as it cools it will get crisper
One thing I learned from your chicken crust video was to get the chicken dry enough to peel off the parchment, then place it on the pan itself to finish baking, flipping a couple of times. I bet that would work really well here.
YUM! Thank You dear Ladies for The Best Chip recipe EVER!! I have to be dairy free & was kinda discouraged that You might doing yet ANOTHER cheese chip 🤕 But NOOO!! Glorious!!! It is a meat chip!! Well done!! SOOOO EXCITED to do this one!! Thank You for Your personal taco seasoning recipe! Though I agree, that any flavoring combo is going to work beautifully!!! Going for the maple waffle chips! My fav! But You Grrrls are My True Fav!! 😍🤗😍🙏🏼🗝️💎🖖🏼
Saran wrap is thinner and is less sticky. The Press and Seal is specifically made for covering bowls, plates, etc. because it clings much better. But it looks like it worked fine for those purposes. Those chips look good ! Great job ladies ❤
I think I want to make both thicknesses. Jerky is a great snack for work, and chips for having as a side or base at dinner. I'm thinking nachos, with a wrap, sprinkled on a salad. Oh, my mind is racing with possibilities and different flavors!
@@ketotwins Except you possibly got glue all over your chicken, depending on which side of the press and seal you put toward the chicken. 😄 Parchment paper almost always works. Or in this case, wax paper would have worked.
Thank you for sharing this what I am super excited to try it sounds really good. I like the idea of a cleaner with no carb chip. Need something crunchy besides pork rinds. This recipe is so versatile you could do so much with it.
Hello ladies, Im fairly new to your channel. Ive been watching your older ones first, love the dynamic between you two. Just started keto 6 days ago, and am trying omad. I want to get at least a month keto before I start your fancy recipes. Can't wait, they look so good!
I have tried deli chicken, ham, or beef slices in the dehydrator. They turn out to be really tasty chips. Except I could eat a pound of deli meat that way!
that looks really good, i would separate it into balls and use a tortilla press to get a nice thin consistency then cut into shapes if you prefer, a dehydrator if u have one would be good to finish it off ❤
I think the chips sounded nice and crispy! I like the idea of ranch or salt and vinegar or onion and garlic. You could make a chipotle ranch flavoring. Thank you ladies for another great trial by fire! 😁
Ranch seasoning would be very tasty! Sahran wrap and the wrap you have are the the same in purpose but what you have is much sturdier and you can even fashion it into a bag to store and freeze items
Love it! It made me think of the cheese crackers (which I love) and adding cheese to the chicken, maybe do a little mix in the food chopper. I'm going to have to try it!
Glad Press and Seal is not the same as regular glad wrap ….it is better! And By the way, if you put baking soda on your chicken wings and put them in the fridge for several hours (or overnight) it will make them extra crispy. I add it to whatever seasonings I want the wings to taste like. Never heard of the wooden spoon tip - thanks Sarah! My question is, does it taste like chicken? And have you thought about using the Cheetos cheese seasoning?
I saw this recipe and tried it, but I must’ve missed the baking soda part. Mind sort of looks like yours for the first try. It didn’t taste very good, but my dogs loved it.😂🎉
I use Glad Press and Seal since I discovered it by accident 10 yrs ago. Recently forced myself to go back and use the remainder of my 10 year roll of Saran Wrap to get it out of my drawer. Saran can't carry Press & Seal's water. 😉 Try Glad, you'll never go back! 🤣 Throw leftover chx chips in the air fryer to warm and re-crisp them. Can't wait to try them, even though I normally don't like flavored chips. May try some a'lah naturelle too.
Before you roll it out I would press your meat into a square so when roll it would be more even. Also score the meat with a pizza cutter before baking.
Def gonna try. Think i;ll break out my tortilla press for an even thin chip? This could be better than cottage cheese esp if you need to avoid dairy :) thanks!
Press and seal isn’t the same, it does have an adhesive on one side. Glad it worked, though! 😅 Thanks for finding this recipe! I’ve been buying Wilde chips; they aren’t inexpensive and contain stuff I shouldn’t be eating. This looks like a good replacement! I would probably make a half batch at a time, and freeze the other half (or make tacos with the other half)! I loved your Halloween videos! I made the hand last year and everyone at my party raved about it! I haven’t made the meatloaf face…not a big meatloaf kinda gal. 😂🧟♀️
Press and seal is not the same as Saran wrap. Press and seal has some kind of adhesive quality that sticks to glass or metal, Saran wrap is a stretch and seal plastic wrap.

Take 2 wooden one gallon paint stir sticks and roll your rolling pin on top of these. This will give you even thickness throughout.

PRE-SCORE IT! You need to pizza cutter the lines before u bake it. Itll cook evenly and then u can snap them apart when done.
Tortilla press is great for thin rolling😊
I wondered the same thing! 😊
I am so trying that chicken doritos man
a wooden one is the best

On a rack
... It will almost always be more crispy

Yea, we had to go pretty thin, almost see through
Good to know.
I think the idea of shutting the oven off and leaving in with door slightly open is a good idea. Wait until oven is cool to take out the chips. Most likely chips would be super crispy.
I agree! Split the mix into 2 to 4 parts so you can get it rolled out thin & make it more manageable. 2nd roll out looks awesome
I wonder if smaller balls and using a tortilla press would yield uniform chips. 🤔
Yes! Why didn't they use their recently bought tortilla press? Lots of work would have been saved. 😊
It does ! That’s how we dehydrated ours
I was just going to suggest that! It would work.

Thanks for watching Kelly! ❤️
Thanks! Def trying this. I really miss chips & guacamole, so this & Dr. Berry’s bacon chips are def on my list now.
Wait! How did I miss that? Off to Google it! Thanks.
Saran wrap and cling free are made from slightly different materials but are basically the same thing. Thier uses are the same.
I’m going to try with ranch seasoning
Hello Emily and Sarah! The chips look really good. I might try them with ground turkey as well.
Can't wait to try! This looks very simple! And delicious!

I have tried deli chicken, ham, or beef slices in the dehydrator. They turn out to be really tasty chips. Except I could eat a pound of deli meat that way!

Maybe in a really low oven. Try it!

deli meats in an Airfryer on low temp also makes a nice crunchy snack.

I gotta good one for you. My grocery store no longer offers ground chicken! What tha hey hey!!!
