    The best and most affordable way to see beautiful European cities and countryside by bus or boats.

    Some years ago I took an overnight service by ETN, one of Mexico's premier bus lines, from Aguascalientes to Mexico City on a full-length 3-axle Scania double-decker bus, with luxury bodywork by MarcoPolo in Brazil. What made it exceptional was that it had only 25 seats! Leg room was outstanding, with sumptuous seats that reclined about 45 degrees for a good night's rest, and I have never sat on more comfortable seats in any bus, train, aircraft or anything. Downstairs were two spotlessly-clean large bathrooms, one for men and one for women, and a hot- and ice-water dispenser. On entering we were given a box meal, complete with fruit, juices and water.
    Living in USA, I now associate Greyhound with discomfort, mentally unstable passengers, chronic unreliability, and bus stations that are truly horrifying in their squalor and violence. It's sad that almost every other country now has better, and in many cases incomparably better, bus service than America. Surely there would be a market in USA for a premium service similar to what is now normal in Europe and Mexico? I would use such services if they were available here, but I fear that will never happen...

    I appreciate that there is a good service like that. I'm Brazilian but lives in England for long long time. The Brazilian coaches for long distance like: Marcopolo, Comil and Busscar can offer the BEST experience and comfort for passengers. In England there is not good service. Few times I bought tickets for front seats but the bus/coaches Start the service/travel with windshield completely DIRTY, and on rainy days the driver DOESN'T turn on the windshield wipers. In Brazil the bus/coaches for long distance start the travel immaculately clean. If the travel during over 12 hours, in the motorways, will geve time of 30 minutes and will be cleaning up inside and outside. Is great service!!!

    Great trip. 58 seats on Double Decker in Europe is luxurious, meanwhile in my country, 58 seats on Double Decker is bit dense. And yeah Regio Jet is great operator for both train and coach. Their colour is great but sometimes can be mixed up with Ecolines which also using similar colours with different shades.

      Just curious, what is your country where 58 seats on a double decker is considered dense?

    • @Brightness_One_Hundred
      @Brightness_One_Hundred 6 месяцев назад +1

      In my country, Double Decker buses usually have only 42 seats (2 sleeper, 6 Super Top (1x2), 34 executive (2x2)). I was a bit surprised to see they provide vending machines, as luxury buses here typically include free drinks, snacks, and one meal. They also offer bus Steward services throughout the journey.

    Is there a specific regulations on how wide the walk way inside the bus is? In where I live the walkway for 2-1 seat configuration is super narrow as they prefer to widened the seat.

      Let me put it this way. They is more knee space, but maybe less foot space because of the wall.

    For me a vending machine is not 1st class. Better with steward and ideally it should be free tea and coffee. It costs literally cents to provide tea and coffee onboard using sachets.

    LuxExpress in the Baltics have had similar seats for at least 10 years.
    Standard class is 2+2 and first is 2+1, but I think their seats are comfier than Regiojet's.
    And all seats have screens.

    • @Jack_Rice
      @Jack_Rice  6 месяцев назад +3

      These RegioJet buses have only been in service for about a year now, and the much greater number of first-class seats onboard as well as all the add ons, I think, makes them look and feel alot more premium.

      Also had that problem with paying for a meal at a Bavarian restaurant a year ago. Had two different Austrian bank cards on me, but all of them didn’t work because the German terminal only accepted those retarded EC cards, so I had to go to an ATM and pay with cash 🫤

      @@stefan25769 Yes i can confirm - last year in Dresden, Germany -impossible to pay with normal bank cards (Visa, Maestro) - the always wantted only some "ECKarten" and no cash machines 5 miles around.. simply stupid Germnas.. comparing to Czech republic \Prague where we can pay by card everywhere and any where (i have not payed by cash aleready for 12 years inPrague) - and cash machines awailable in every corner both for withdrowing and and giving cash tro your bank account..
