@pennsylvaniacoachlines_fanpage I have seen all his videos he never does one checking the lights on the dash don't count and we're do you see him look at the permit book which is in that compartment were he was so worried about playing with the stupid ass lights inside the bus
Well it's my favorite brand. It's very very nice. It's much quieter in the wind. But I still believe your little friends not with you. I think he's at home with his earmuffs on because I do hear a rattle. But I think it's the wheelchair lift. You've done a very nice job driving it's been a very nice trip. Enjoyed it tremendously have a great day take Good care of yourself
Super super nice that's all I got to say. It's still my favorite brand. And you still are the driver that makes me feel like I'm a VIP. And you can tell James that when he gets back. Show him in writing !! lol but remind him he is my favorite prisoner and CEO
I’m really thinking about driving coach. I drive the school bus now though. This looks pretty interesting. I did trained on a transit school bus, it’s really different than conventional for sure..Awesome video!
The windshield shades have some issues with rattling. A couple of our new ones also rattle a lot sometimes. The whole mechanism is completely different for 2024
I completely love this video. Very intuitive. I want to drive one so badly and hopefully own one also. Would like to see more of this type of video. Also where was this video shoot???
For this new Prevost H345 bus, the park brake knob is on the bottom left of the dashboard; however, in most of the older Prevost, the system park brake knob were on the left side of the seat include the kneeling button.
For this Prevost bus, the park brake knob is the same size as the MCI J4500. The older Prevost buses had a big yellow system park knob. Compare this Prevost to Nova Low Floor and Orion 5 & 7 transit vehicle because it has same kneeling sounds.
Yes, the J4500 has a marginally better turning radius by ~1 in (from published spec sheets). The J4500 has a steerable tag axle while the H3-45 only lifts the tag during turns.
Do any buses in the US have parking brakes with levers? Ive never really paid attention to the parking brakes on coaches but i noticed on all city buses and school buses the parking brake is always a pull knob/button. Is this some sort of policy from the DOT or is it just preffered?
The Tourrider has an electronic brake-by-wire system, so it has an electric button and lever for the parking brake. For traditional air brake systems, there probably is some sort of requirement to have a button, but I'm not too sure.
Great video. You're an excellent driver. I am I seeing a GPS built into the dash and is the tag axle an air assist steerable tag axle. Where are the 3 2024 Prevost PCC owns located? Thanks for a great video
The tag does not steer, but it does automatically raise and lower when turning on the Prevost H3-45. The three 2024 Prevost buses we have are all based in Peoria, which is why you won't usually seem me driving one. It costs too much (figures are in the several thousands) to have multiple sets of parts and diagnostic equipment for the currently relatively small sub-fleet.
Nice bus, but that incessant rattling would drive me bonkers! By far, the best riding bus ever was the Silver Eagle. Too bad Greyhound bankrupted them.
I think Prevost has some work to do with the sun shades! It's a different shade from before and our own 2024 H3-45s shades rattle a lot sometimes as well
Ahhhh okay. If it is then maybe a small redesign to keep them from rattling would work. On further note I love the new 2024 Prevost the only thing I dislike is the removal of the upper wipers. Customers love seeing out that window and if it’s raining it makes it harder now. Only thing I wish they left alone in my opinion. The rest of the coach is wonderful. Prevost has always been in a class of their own and will always be the best coach on the road.
The one POV bus driver on RUclips that actually drives like a professional. Love it, keep it coming!
Thank you for the kind words! 🙏
If he drove like a professional he would not hold his hands on the inside of the wheel 10 and 2 normal place and he does not check the oil and pretrip
I meant outside of the wheel and did not check fire extinguisher and permit book
@@paulnale7725 how do you know he didn’t do his pre trip before he started the video?

I love the all new Prevost H345 buses, I think these coaches are one of the best, also that iconic Volvo D13 love it!
The the Prevost H3-45 is an amazing bus and the D13 is an engine that really hauls!
New motorcoach reviews are great!
Let's film more bus rollers 🎥
@@albluaddrq
That's very beautiful! I can't believe how smooth and quiet it is! Thank you for showing us!
It's a very nice bus!
What a big beautiful coach. Very modern Prevost does it again.
Yes, it's a very nice bus!
Love Prevost so much and that Volvo D13/Allison 😩
It's a great combo! This bus can dominate some hills

Prevost still reigns king! Yeah, I forgot about penguin for this test drive. The rattling might be from the shades as well. I'll show James! 🤣
Awesome vid! 😀 And I like the look of that 2024 Prevost!
🤔 I was a little annoyed with the black car in the lot and on the road. Then I realized it's your chase car. 🤣✌🏾
Haha, yup! I have some really cool shots from the chase car I'll be editing into a video soon
Oh my God that bus is just doggone beautiful and that the 13 Volvo engine oh my gosh such a smooth sound
It's a dream vehicle!
@@albluaI really am thinking of becoming a bus driver. I drive a Tractor Trailer but I love buses and I love to travel and get to know people.
100th Anniversary edition. that would be a rare collectible one day. and I love the spiral staircase thing. boarding feel more efficient
Prevost did a really nice job with the changes!
I’m really thinking about driving coach. I drive the school bus now though. This looks pretty interesting. I did trained on a transit school bus, it’s really different than conventional for sure..Awesome video!
It's fun to go somewhere different every charter!
For a brand new bus what the heck is all that rattling...? That would drive me nuts while driving.
The windshield shades have some issues with rattling. A couple of our new ones also rattle a lot sometimes. The whole mechanism is completely different for 2024

It's an amazing bus to drive! This video was shot in Champaign-Urbana, IL.

Yep, that's correct!
Very nice coach that is 👍
It's a really nice bus!
Peoria already owns some of these, right?
Yes, we have 3 already
The passenger seat tray reminds me a Airline passenger seat.
Definitely has similar vibes!
@@alblua And different seat belts I've notice

Yup! Spot on 👍
The shots u got our amazing😍 they need to be on the website😭
I had a lot of fun filming and photographing this bus :)
Prevost always been a good riding bus. ISs the Ivory color standard? Does the Motorcoach options other colors such as blue?
I'm sure you can option any sort of seat (or other modifications) you want, as long as you pay for it!
I haven't driven any coaches myself, but from other videos I have watched, it seems like the MCI J4500s have a better turning radius than the H3-45s
Yes, the J4500 has a marginally better turning radius by ~1 in (from published spec sheets). The J4500 has a steerable tag axle while the H3-45 only lifts the tag during turns.

How is the acceleration on this coach? On the video it looks really impressive!
It's just as impressive as the video looks! The Volvo D13 engine really flies 🪽
do you think you can rely on H series for scheduled line haul services? or better go with X?
(not that i'm planning to buy any of those lol)
I have zero experience with the X series, so I couldn't say. I've driven the H series on a schedule a couple times and it's fantastic

Cool
Coach can move !
It sure does! Once the boost kicks in it can catch you off guard too
What are they doing with that old style orange MCI (fighting illini) bus in the yard? I dont think its moved in ages?
It's being parted out and will ultimately be sent to the scrapyard
@@alblua thanks.
Here in the UK we call that practice cannibalising 😊
THAT'S where you change the colors?!
Haha, yeah it's a little strange 😅
@@alblua I just thought our unit didn't have that feature. This is what happens when you don't read the manual.
Go find that button and change the colors!
I love it
Beautiful bus. Have you driven any X3-45s?
Nope, we don't have any X3-45s in the fleet
Did James order some 2024 Prevost yet?
We have three 2024 Prevost H3-45s in the fleet
NICE
Doesn’t Volvo own Prévost now? I wonder if James will have all one brand in the fleet over the next few years.
Yes, Prevost is now a subsidiary of Volvo. Yes, we plan on moving to one coach model moving forward
@ awesome, your mechanics and warehouse shelves will be grateful😉
Has your company purchased any of these or plans to?
Yes, we have three already
Does the tag automatically dump when you turn a corner? Also is it steerable?
Yes, in a turn the tag automatically raises but does not steer on a Prevost H3-45

I think it was the windshield shades. There wasn't any rattling when I had them retracted

The upper wipers were a loss of unique character on the Prevost redesign for sure. The H3-45 is definitely a king on the road!
The AC is pretty loud.
It was a very hot and humid day, so it was running very hard and very loud for sure
Just curious, why don't you do any verbal narration with your videos?
I let the sounds of the bus do the talking! Talking would just ruin the video for me, so I put captions instead
@@alblua Thanks for the reply - your videos are fantastic.
Same engine as VNL
Ah Volvo D13 my beloved 🤣 And this is litearly a Volvo VNL on steroids lol, Dash, Wheel Engine, They might as well call it a Volvo lol
Haha that's what happens when you're owned by Volvo! Common parts bin galore 👍
sure rattles a lot for something brand new
Some refinements to still be done from Prevost

What is that siren noise? Is that bus kneeling?
Yep, it's the kneeling alarm

This bus have Volvo written all over it, I’d still take it over a j4500
Prevost is definitely still supreme for motorcoaches!
Why do you wear gloves?
It's a symbol of professionalism and respect for the job many drivers in Japan use
conduire un bus avec des gangs ciboire !
Sorry, the translation to English doesn't make sense to me 🥲
seems awfully squeaky and rattly for a brand new vehicle
It definitely rattled more than I expected, but the lack of wind noise makes a huge difference compared to other manufacturers
вентиляция шумная, шторки тарахтят , все впечатление портит , сиденья хилые а так автобус вроде норм
