Amazing, i never knew so many things he said, but it makes sense. and to see their long form. The burning of Shaolin was in the mid to late 1600s and they are honest with those blank spaces from Jee Sin Sim See to the Red Boat Opera troupe (1800s)....so many stories were not written, or written and lost. Amazing. Thank you Sifu Sergio

My opinion about this lineage, after seeing all its forms is that they fused the kung fu of Lai Miu Hin (Chan Yu Min's wife) with the wing chun of Leung Jan, she who took over their school when her husband died. Even more so when you see the forms of Chan Yu Min's disciple, Jiu Chow, so similar to Yip Man, Yiu Choi and Fok Chiu.

You are correct on the wife part. My uncle trained with this sifu interviewed here. My uncle is a sifu of this lineage, I learned very little off him. I don't practice wing chun as much and came from the Yip Man lineage. Chan Yiu Min's wife kung fu was way higher than his and she fused Fa Hung Kuen(Flower Hung Fist) into the system. That's why there is more sets. This is from research and what my uncle told me. Another thing is my ancestry(father side) is from this area, so I still keep in touch with family to learn more about my ancestry.

This is an excerpt from the biography of Zhao Jiu (Jiu Chow) that I found on the China page. "En 1932, Chen Rumian applied to Wuzhou, Guangxi, as an instructor and military medic for the two Guangxi kingdoms. It was with four children that they studied with their mother Hua Hong Quan in Shunde. The Foshan Museum was managed by Li Hao, his wife and teacher from Shunde Hua Hong Quan. Since then, he has not only taught Zhao Jiu (Jiu Chow) Yong Chun Quan but Hong Quan as well."

He tells about 12 empty hand forms,I remind me to read anything about a Wing Chun System called "Pao fa lien " which has so many. Does anyone knows more about it?But this system have also many weapon forms like for saber etc. and also Chi Sao whats looks more like tui shou.

don't worry about the past. if the wing chun history isn't recorded on paper then it's just all word of mouth. word of mouth changes from one person to the next. no one will ever know the truth. let it be. the wing chun today is much better than when it was first created anyways. more practioner all around the world, wing chun seen through more eyes mean more defined, better praticioners. just fine lineage you like and practice.

Wait!!! He is saying that because Yip Man didnt learn the full form so it became called "siu lim tao"? If so than why do many lineages that branched before Yip Man use that same name and perform it up to the same point?

      No. They combined them.
Now it's called 6 and a half longpole form.and If u watch thier siu nim tao, that's ONE BIG form Wich up Man splitted.
there are moves from biu jee, chum kiu, Bart Cham, longpole, dummy 2 man sets... And weng Chun steps.

I have a theory that reconciles the legend of Wing Chun and Sifu Tam Woon Biu's version. Chi Sim and Ng Mui both practiced Weng Chun. When Ng Mui met Wing Chun, she taught her Weng Chun in a simplified/truncated way because of the short time she had to teach her. Later Wing Chun's husband Leung Bok-Chau found funny that Wing Chun learned a martial art named Weng Chun and suggested to rename it Wing Chun. Both Weng Chun and Wing Chun branches coexisted all along.

Yeah, yeah it is all the same.
Look at the static Siu Lim (Tao) and the the Chu Chung Man Fa Kuen...
The most WT styles I know do the center line thing with very little footwork and try to get inside. The Weng Chun from IWCA has the Kiu Sao with different tactics an very round forms like Fa Kuen and more static Forms like Sap Yat Kuen. I don't know what exactly happend in Dai Duk Lan and what Wai Yan did, but I do not think that you should think the more forms the better.

So Abbot Jee Sim See (sorry if I misspelled his name) is the originator of the Weng Wing Chun Kuen combat system, eh?
I have also heard that the Yim Wing Chun story was a cover-up/lie.
And what about Ng Mui? Did she exist and was she one of the five from the Siu Lam legend? And so, Leung Bik was a spoiled brat who didn't know much Wing Chun but still defeated Ip Man? I love this Siu Nim Tao form because it answers a lot of questions I've been asking myself for years, just the patterns alone.

Moving off the centerline isn't really a big deal in Siu Lum Tao because you will never practice in place anyways. I believe they are just demonstrating the concept of taking a spiral or a circle. If you look at the huen saos they make larger circles than the standard Wing Chun form.

Man, I've been into WC for 20 years. WC masters don't agree on anything except for ONE THING: That William Cheung is a liar. It's common knowledge. Notice how Sergio has never interviewed Cheung or anyone from his camp - never even mentions him. And yet, Sergio talks to everyone else and gets their story. Do you think that if there was a shred of possibility that Cheung was telling the truth that Sergio wouldn't talk to him?
