    LYRICS
When all is said and done
    I'll always be your son
    But all is not forgiven
Well I'm on my knees pleading
Just 'cause I'm grown you think I don't need
Much more than what you've ever given me
So when we gonna get together
Seems there's no time for me
You act like you got forever
    You've got time
But you ain't got time for me
    You said, "I've got time"
But you ain't got time for me
    You've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah
Ain't got time for me, yeah
    You said, "I've got time"
But you ain't got time for me
    You've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah
You got time for me, yeah
Now that you've gone and tossed
The bottle away now will ya
Start a new life with a new wife
Well she'll never be my mother
I suppose that you know you oughta
Remember the ones you left behind
You're just letting it slip away now
You act like things are fine
I know you think you've been born again
    But this time
    You're leaving your son behind
    This time
    This time
    This time
    This time
    This time
    This time
    This time
So when we gonna get together
Seems there's no time for me
You act like you got forever
    You've got time
But you ain't got time for me
    You said, "I've got time"
But you ain't got time for me
    You've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah
Ain't got time for me, yeah
    You said, "I've got time"
But you ain't got time for me
    You've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah
You got time for me, yeah
    You said, "I've got time"
But you ain't got time for me
    I've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah
    I've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah
    You said, "I've got time"
But you ain't got time for me
    I've got time
But you ain't got time for me, yeah

yeah man! to me THIS is the sound! LoA rocks... not a comercial succes, only a real band playing their sound... and they kick a very some ass... Have a million view on youtube, but so much more on their fans I guess... Sorry poor english I'm BR and freee linguage. I'm "viciado" in this band since I played a song named "other side of the river"

I was playing this album like it was crack when it first came out,I was a teen in a broken home, abuse, neglect, rejection the whole nine yards.I found life in LOA that was looking for,for years. This band helped me through alot of hard shit back then and sadly I havent heard them since then.I now realize how fucked up my life was then and dont wish that on no one.The greatest gift to man is music no matter what form it comes in!

Almost 20 years later their music still holds up to almost anything that comes out today! One of the best bands to never make the "mainstream". His changing does not change how I feel about their music. It still sounds as amazing today as it did when I 1st heard it!!!

It was clear to anybody who saw Keith perform or who met him in person what a troubled soul he was. Just watch his stage performances where he shuffles around apparently lost in his own little world. If changing to Mina was what was needed to save him (and it almost certainly was) then you've got to support the actions she took. Seeing them perform now it's just so obvious how much happier she is and long may it continue.

Shot the bar stuff in the Circle Bar on Main Street in Santa Monica. Shot performance stuff in my dad's office garage. DP was Jeff Cutter, who shoots features and TV and commercials and videos. Francis Lawrence, Jeff Cutter and I went to Loyola Marymount University and did this a few years later. The dad in the video is actor Seymour Cassel.

A great band from a decade when things were going in a different direction for metal. I saw them open for Anthrax and Ozzy in the same month, Dec. 1995. I was blown away, but those audiences seemed confused by them. I got this CD as soon as I could. So awesome and heavy, but not lacking vulnerability and heart, they were like Nirvana and Pantera having offspring. This song about an alcoholic father who remarries and ignores his previous family, hit home. Made me a fan forever.

Loved this album back in the day when it was new and love it to this day. Some of what LOA is doing now kind of carries the same vibe

Heard this track for the first time thirty years ago. It was spring 1994. The song and video blew my teenage mind to bits. As did Alice In Chains a few months before with "Them Bones" and "Rooster". The early nineties brought a few uniquely visceral bands and albums.

A fantastic metal song! These guys get it!! Fast, slow, deep/dark lyrics, excellent vocals, superb drums with a guitar solo..... a classic!!! I am old enough to have experienced the birth of metal in 1968 and this song rates!!

I used to blast this song on my long somber walk home from HS in ‘94. I always thought it was a song for me and my loneliness. Now As a mother with a child struggling with identity- I finally understand. This song wasn’t for me- it was for them. And now a new generation has love for LOA.

This song was me and my father. He quit drinking, after my mom died, forgot about me, got remarried and I turned into a monster. Fortunately for us, my wife's mother (God bless her) wouldn't let us get married until I reconciled thing's with my dad. He came to our wedding, got to know his granddaughter, and became my dad again. He passed away in 2012 and there's not a time I here this song that I don't hate myself for wasting nearly a decade hating him. I wish I had the sense to have gotten back in his life sooner. I'm only glad I finally did.

My sister, our best friends and I happened upon him one random night. We were San Jose, but had a core group of folks from this microscopic town called Coyote, and within it we had these sisters that owned this bar in this middle of nowhere. Our groups merged one night and madness ensued. Memorable. There was some people wearing suits of armor having a sword fight by the light of a bonfire, hide and go seek in an apricot orchard dying with only the full moon for light, all that. We took a shitload of pictures and kept it in the Back Room photo album. That was around '94-95, so if it's still there, holy hell. 🤣
