[1:37] Holy crap that image gave me *STRAIGHT* nostalgia. I remember watching the video of Big Bird knocking down a door, and that door is the exact one he kicks down.

That music, first time i meet it in "Evil within" game. I remember how huge was relief to hear that music, knowing you find safe place in dread wicked dimension
it unlocks a core memory in me where a play evil within with my older sister, the eerieness, the safe feeling when u hear this tune, its soothing yet creepy. the games a masterpiece horror
for some reason watching this at night makes me feel very uncomfortable even tho at day i love liminal spaces and this music its very strange how at night it changes they way i processed a normally calming photo and music into a terrifying version
It's the environment you see them in. If you see them while you're in a goofy or happy mood you'll probably enjoy looking at them. But like you said if you watch it at night or if you're just in a very calm or tired state they get a little eerie. I love this version of Claire de Lune for this exact reason
@bro biden I mean it depends on what kind of liminal space, if it's something nostalgic then yeah, something like the backrooms and you're more or less a sick person
I like to think that when u fall unconscious after dying ur shown all the places u have been at and the ones you dreamt of with this sort of both calming and eerie music playing in the background before u go to heaven or hell
It just feels like I.. know these places, but i dont at the same time.. this is just pure sadness for me, the music paired with the images, just makes me really sad
Same here bro, when I was a toddler I had a dream about me playing with train toys like the ones in the picture. the dream was one time in my house that was mirrored sideways, with the porch entrance litterally next to the sidewalk in my street
I don't speak english very good, so i going to say this in spanish and you could translate it later in google lens or in any other thing similar: Clair de lune es una de esas canciones que te transmiten calma y nostalgia, sumada a las imagenes vacias de los espacios liminales que hacen sentir esa sensacion de vacio tan... peculiar.
The first one, i remember going to look at Christmas or Halloween lights with my family and seeing that houses multiple of them this video just brings nothing but an ominous feeling and nostalgia the music fits so well with the pictures it makes me have an uncanny feel in my stomach it’s like we have all remember being here but it’s all fake… literal chills

0:22 i actually know where this came from, i am not kidding this comes from a book called “i spy a-z” on the 10th page but only a little bit of the full image is shown.
Funny commenting on something that everyones already sort of came and gone with. But I wanted to give my two cents for anyone who may want a bit of help understanding why this feels a certain way. Its a strange dichotomy of two primary emotions, which is anxiety and blissfullness. These are the places that strike a resemblance to everything you know and love whenever you walked through them, when you would simply interact but not drink in because they were simply too inhabited by other people to think so. the feelings you would get in elementary, whenever you were in the halls at times when everything was unfilled with life, so new that you just did nothing but drink the new experience in. As if your mind was connecting the similarities you have seen to the things here on screen that youve never been, though they are very similar. Very related in the core identity from image to memory. But without other people, it feels also similar to as if you discovered something not really meant to be seen, like a hidden asset that went unused in a video game. But not because theres something evil hidden in it. Simply because, these spaces were made to be used by people. Seeing something manmade thats so empty can only breed thoughts of what was, or what could've been of these places. Wonder and a healthy bit of fear, giving amazement and eerie anxiety a perfect place. When things like this just "are". As if you were one of the remaining few after the rapture.
Nostalgia Noun A sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically a period or place with happy personal associations Verb something done or presented to evoke feelings of nostalgia
