Ok, I watched most of your review videos, man your laying it out there in a way people can understand. I hope more people let Traxxas into their lives, i don't fall for brand , I follow results and Man I love my trx4
Can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your reviews. I'm a total noob to the whole RC crawlers, and was initially thinking it was going to cost me a small fortune to get started. After watching allot of your videos I decided to go with a Hobbywing 1080 and I'm going to buy the Animos servo. Not sure if I need to run a BEC or not. The only accessory I plan on installing is a winch. Thanks again for all the info.
Hello from Sweden! I just ordered a 23 kg/cm (312 ounce/inch I think) servo and a metal servohorn for my trx-4 Bronco. I really like your videos. They seem very honest, if you don't like something you say it😁 Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your awesome tips and how to! I’m a subscriber and a fan👍🏼 I’m glad to hear that I can upgrade my trx-4 defender servo with out having to install a BEC cause I’m already running a light kit and a sound module I’m going for the first option, boss👍🏼❤️😎 thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great video! I recently upgraded my servo to the 3brothers G11. I would love to see more technical videos on servo power and would like to specifically see more about the 3brothers servos. I think they are overlooked a lot by the RC community.
Hey man, amazingly simplified informations that rly help people who just starting with crawling hoby, like me heh. Tnx on that and keep doing great videos. And just ordered that servo and that power thingy ;)
First of all, you made great video of introducing everything very clear and easy to understand. I'm very appreciated. I got a question about the servo you introduced here. The servo come with the metal horn. Do i still need the saver to serve on the arrma vortex which comes with the saver and horn in the same piece? Thank you very much.
Am man, that 20 kg is really going to make my gen7 pro a beast.I mean it will be way better than the stock 15 kg,which is still going strong, but why not do the old switcheroo?
My son wanted to upgrade the servo on his RedCat Blackout XBE Pro. He ordered a more powerful servo through Amazon, and is having problems. After the replacement, the arm just wants to go through the floor. After unmounting it, but with the wires still connected, the arm just wants to rotate. Is this normal? Is there some type of programming that is required?
Hi Francis, looking for an upgrade servo in my TRX4 Sport because stock one blew in June and now the Traxxas 330 blew as well, terribly disappointed about Traxxas servos
i wasnt happy with the savox 1210....had it in my heavy rr10 bomber and it lasted like 4 weeks, after a jump it broke....to much money for a servo...maybe I had the monday piece, or I should have a servo saver, but does any run a servo saver on a crawler?
Out of curiosity, is there any way you can program a servo to turn in the opposite direction than it normally would? I'm about to build an rc hovercraft and theoretically, if I push the transmitter control stick to the left, the arm on the servo would turn left, pushing against the left rudder at the back of the hovercraft. If I'm right, that would cause the hovercraft to turn right. So that's a dilemma I'm trying to find a solution for - pushing the tx stick left will make the hovercraft turn right and vice versa. The only thing Ive come up with is having a long piece of wood or plastic between the servo and rudders that pivots in the middle. If the arm on the servo hits the closest side of the wood / plastic piece in a certain direction, the other side will move in the opposite direction (hitting the correct rudder.) It's certainly going to look very crude and it's low tech but I guess it should work.
Will the $20 dollar servo work on a rgt rig with stock electronics?I know rgt rigs are budget but that's the point however the stock steering servo is weak at best.any input greatly appreciated👍
Don’t buy expensive servo’s! A lot of servo’s contain the same components.... There are only a few servo manufacturers in the world and they don’t make a profit by developing new components for every servo they make. So, don’t buy ANY servo above €50,-! Every cent you pay more is only for the brand name and ends up as pure profit. Don’t buy big brand servo’s like Savöx! You will end up with the same servo that costs half the price. Best buy is the Power HD 20kg waterproof servo. You can buy them between €18 - €22 with free shipping. I have one running for almost three years now without problems. I use these in every rc i own. Same story with aluminium parts.....don’t buy Vanquish crap! I mean it....don’t get rippid off! Usually Vanquish crap costs 5-10 times more than the stuff from Yeah Racing, Boomerang, Xtra Speed etc. But is it 5-10 times better....? No! Is it better quality? Depends on how you look at it. Do you really need that "7075 Aircraft Grade Aluminium"? No! You are playing with a toy....you are not flying to the moon with it. The days that the cheaper brands don’t fit very well are almost over...the chinese are not stupid and they have listened very very good to their customers the last 2-3 years. The aluminium parts from the cheaper brands are fine for youre rc crawler! If you like being the guy that has all the expensive brands on his rc, be my dumbass guest.
Well said. Do you happen to know the names of those servo manufacturer s? I am genuinely interested in who is making traxxas's new aluminum heavy duty servos. I guess what I am saying what servo is exactly the same as them but cheaper. Thank you
Well said. This isn't RC but I knew a guy who worked in a manufacturing plant producing a product. The generic boxes would roll through and the product gets poured in. Then the line would stop. The name-brand boxes would be placed and the production resumes. It was quite literally the exact same product. Just one was 3x the price of the other. I've got to imagine stuff like that goes on all the time. You're just paying for names.
Dan Brando I dont know the names of the factories. But i know through my job that a lot of stuff in the rc world is coming of the same lines in the factory.
@@Mrrootsfull hey thank you for responding. That is about what I thought nice to have it confirmed. It always interest me in the rc world considering we spend hundreds on our little cars lol. I totally understand a company making good money fair ! But when it is 5 times the cost of the SAME (electronics, same grade brass, tolerances) thing seems like gouging. Thank you to all who responded.
We believe the best performer for the money it the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport. It is affordable at $340 and is very, very capable. It can be upgraded with a transmission or locking diffs. It has quite a few performance upgrades available now as well. Quality and support is very good.
Hello, First I'd like to thank you for your channel, it helps me a lot. I have a question, i use to put just traxxas parts on my traxxas TRX4 Tactical But, i just installed the servo that u suggesy The Savox 1210 and aso i put the BEC from traxxas 2 things that I would like to know My other 3 little servos shakes when i use the steering (servo) Like something is forcing them, and sometimes it just do crazy movements without i touch anything. Another thing is that the BEC is getting hot. I did install perfectly all the connections and I already checked everything twice . By the way, when i put the traxxas servo 1025x back(the original one) Everything start to works fine again. Tried also put the Savox 1210 removing the BEC and worked fine too Somehow is just when both are together, I don’t know what to do anymore 😞 I’m really getting frustrated Thank you!
So I just wrecked my stock servo, landed a little sideways off a jump , I bought the 18$ one you mentioned first , is this going to need a BEC ? I have no lights/ winch stock otherwise

Tremendous work you’ve done on servo education. Thank you.
I recently put a savox 1230 on trx4 and it is a big difference from the stock servo. Only downside is that it is a noisy servo

"Music to my ears......" Oh bro, you had me laughing. Thanks for all your hard work and useful information. Great videos man, keep em coming.
Same here.
The cheap one seems pretty quick and strong for the price. Nice video 👍🏼

I would like to know more about replacing the micro servos... these are a pain....
You have a great thing going brother keep up the great work
Another outstanding Public Service message RC Review LOL Thanks!
We win some, we try some.
Have you had experience with metal servo that comes with 2021 Bronco? It seems sturdy
The ending is classic.
👉 thank you, Upgrade your servo!
the end.

Thank you for the support. Do you advise this servo for a RC MN99s?
Crack me up when he said "it could leave you stranded out there"....

What is the most realistic & quiet crawler servo available? Ideally waterproof too. Thanks
I bought a servo just to throw in my kit. You can't beat that price.
Every self-respecting RC'er needs a spare servo in the bin. Because down time, especially on a weekend is painful.

Most transmitters are programmable to allow you to reverse the direction of the servo.
I got an eco power high torque metal gear one comin
Let me no we're u getting it FRM please

JX CLS-HV7346MG $48.00 bucks
hi🤗 nice my bro video good👍👍
What do you think the best crawler on the market today? Just found the channel and subscribed. Good info!

I like the capra over my defender and scx10 2.
great video!
What's the best servo for you? I have a TRX4 bronco
I was using the 35kg but it stopped working after 2 months
If I switch my esc to 7.4v on my trx 4 will it fry my small servos for differential etc?
Looks like there is a 180 degree and a 270 degree. Which one?
What servos to put on the steering of a traxxas summit 1/10? Plis some help.
Nice👌👍
Hello,
First I'd like to thank you for your channel, it helps me a lot.
I have a question, i use to put just traxxas parts on my traxxas TRX4 Tactical
But, i just installed the servo that u suggesy
The Savox 1210 and aso i put the BEC from traxxas
2 things that I would like to know
My other 3 little servos shakes when i use the steering (servo)
Like something is forcing them, and sometimes it just do crazy movements without i touch anything.
Another thing is that the BEC is getting hot.
I did install perfectly all the connections and
I already checked everything twice .
By the way, when i put the traxxas servo 1025x back(the original one)
Everything start to works fine again.
Tried also put the Savox 1210 removing the BEC and worked fine too
Somehow is just when both are together,
I don’t know what to do anymore 😞
I’m really getting frustrated
Thank you!
Ed Lacerdax did you ever solve that problem? I have a bec on my Lodi rock Rey for the savo1258. It’s a little sluggish when it’s sitting still
Is the cheap one waterproof?
My servo stop working every time i crash on something, i have to restart the power everytime it hit something.. do you know whats the problem ?
I cant find one my servo lays down
Let me no if that eco joint any gd
On my MN99 my servo has a grinding noise coming from it when i turn left, any ideas what this is?
Gear inside of it missing teeth.
So I just wrecked my stock servo, landed a little sideways off a jump , I bought the 18$ one you mentioned first , is this going to need a BEC ? I have no lights/ winch stock otherwise
BEC is not necessary. But you will get a 30% boost in speed and power if you run it with a BEC at 7.4 volts
Is the savoxx really worth the 50$ extra?
No
Do you know the amps of the Traxxas 2262?
it's 5 amps
Thanks alot. 🙂
Savox affordable 100$ servo oof
my horn stripped in 15min
I'd like to send you a 25kg servo for you to test. check your email as I emailed you about it. Thanks!
