Only if these vehicles could talk imagine the words they would say after yelling out,
“What the Frank?” The first time it felt seven times it’s original Horsepower!
Amazing build with little touches sparking many memorable conversations while igniting the creative juices in those that once believed they were creatively tapped out.
Knowing the dash was cast from empty beers drank presuming by those that worked on it or came by to bs while it was being built is remarkable touch!!

Hi Klaus, interesting comment you made about casting and beer cans.
If you look at the JONES gas/petrol pedal, that foot was cast in Oklahoma from beer cans and old alloy wheels melted into ingots and then used to cast various things.

Just a reminder to you guys that want to put a high compression engine with a massive cam in it into your stick shift car let the bucking be a lesson. Their is no getting around it. The the mile long first gear in that thing is also a factor. That engine needs to cruise at 5000 5500 just to be happy. Below that it's all over that cam. So big cam + low speed is a no no. Good luck.

It was built on a limited budget, by a skilled guy, to do burnouts and be a hooligan when he can.
Daily driver never even entered his mind, when he started the build, he had a Hemi Challenger for some jobs and a few trucks.
I do a road trip in the USA every year and write it up. More about the truck around page 6.7 or 8
      LINK HERE: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/222511/lonesome-cowboy-roadtrip-grizz-2022
Dennis and his body shop was the paint and body supplier for many years through a friendship he had with the late Mike Mittler of Mittler Bros Tools.
Mike ran a large, privately owned and bankrolled NASCAR TRUCK RACING TEAM with several trucks, pretty much each set up for various tracks.
In 2008 one of the trucks caught fire after a crash at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The driver, PJ Jones (not a relative) got out safely.
The wreck was brought back to Wright City and years later in 2015 Mike gave it to Dennis, at this point the dream was still in its infancy.
Add the Nascar truck to an older body, before streetable race cars was a thing.
Over the following years, Dennis collected all the parts he would need to build his dream hotrod truck, including a couple of Hendrick race motors, transmissions etc.

I am going to be moving Feature Badazz of the week to Sundays from now on. Being as especially during the spring, summer people are just to busy and the traffic just dwindling on Friday's. I would like to give people the credit they deserve so I think Sunday feature Badazz of the week is going to be better!
That being said let me introduce you to FEATURE BADAZZ OF THE WEEK Dennis Jones and his Badazz 66 Chevy C10 !
This is not your typical C10 build it is built on a recycled Nascar chassis and driveline and every body panel and part and pieces of the truck was modified to make it look like it was built like this in the first place!
The fireball picture is the truck wrecked at Daytona by PJ. Jones and removed from racing and Dennis being a paint and body guy who runs his own body shop was doing a bunch of paint work for the race team worked out a deal to buy the wrecked truck and driveline and the dream began!
The motor is a sealed R06 Nascar 358 cid. Producing over 800hp at 9,000 RPM!!! Mated to a Jerrico 4 speed transmission coupled to a Ford 9" rear differential set up for road course.
The wheelbase was modified 7" to accommodate the chassis to the body.
The chassis was built by Kevin Harvick racing
Some other features of the build are the gas fill is still in the stock location and is piped to the fuel cell. Added modern seats and seatbelts to make driving a race truck more comfortable and the additional cup holders as well!
The truck is just Badazz everywhere you look!
The sound of the truck is just nuts as well!
Boom tube side exit exhaust system that was retained as well to keep that Nascar sound!
If your looking for a build thread on the truck you are out of luck he doesn't do much on social media and I was lucky enough to get the build pictures to share the awesomeness of the build!
Please like share and comment on the post so it stays up for others to see !
Congratulations to Dennis for being Badazz of the week!
I am always looking for feature Badazz builds and people who love to think outside of the box and are building things that dreams are made of! If you know someone who fits the part please pm me so we can get them featured!
