"NASCAR" style BOOM tube UNLOCKS Horsepower! (SOUNDS AMAZING)

- In this video I finish the boom tube made from scrap conduit and install it on the f250. I take it to my top secret track and put it to the test. Horse power was ACTUALLY unlocked

I think that, somewhere up there in the cosmos, Dale shed a tear 🫡
The Intimidation factor upon reading this, has sent some fvcker into the wall!
Is he the only driver y’all know? Why do we make everything about him? Let it go
@@brandonenglund7516 Well its not everything, but the reason do it for Dale is a thing is because he was probably the most popular driver of all time. He's the reason a lot of people got into NASCAR, when he was alive he was one of the most, if not the most entertaining driver on the track. Then he died in a bad accident in Daytona, and a lot of people still really miss watching him race. He was one of a kind and he died before his time. Get the stick out of your ass, if people want to pay tribute to their favorite driver, that's fine.
@@solenya2400I don't know poop about NASCAR. And I really don't care to learn about it because that's all I hear or read when NASCAR is the subject. Dale, Dale, and Dale. I don't like the guy due to the fanaticism he has (I will make time to learn something about him though). But I feel obligated to like Dale *IF* I got into NASCAR.
Correct me if I am wrong, didn't that happen a long time ago? This reminds me of the fanaticism the singer Selena has. "Gone before her time"... Yea like millions of other talented and hard working singers (drivers in this instance). Did Dale directly save countless innocent lives? Was he actively curing cancer or ending world hunger? Or was he just an aspiring Driver? I get it when people like a talented and passionate driver. But I've seen way more people putting someone down for not liking Dale than Dale haters. Not very welcoming tbh
One suggestion for you I made this mistake years ago never never never never never weld your exhaust with a solid mount it will always break loose as the engine Torx always use a rubber hanger
Thank you for the tip I'm welding up a system soon
As long as you use a flex pipe between the engine and the exhaust, the exhaust can be welded solid to the frame. Semis do it all the time.
You should try to avoid welding anywhere on the frame between front and rear suspension. Looking at the weld ..it doesn't look like much heat penetrated the frame however it will weaken the frame→ IF needed, drill a hole fill it with hardened Bolt w Exhaust bracket+ rubber hang dang.
this IS true fact, good point my combustion chamber friend !
True unless engine is solid engine mount as well and solid engine mounts increase torque and power transfer
Wow,I wouldn't even need a radio with that music.. beautiful
It is quite peaceful when cruising at about 2800-3000 rpm.
I took my radio out to listen to open headers. Plus you couldn't hear any stereo I could fit in a single cab.
You probably won't even hear the damn radio at max volume lmao
This is what I imagine those old school, homemade NASCARs must have sounded like.
Big Red did this on their Camaro DECADES ago. I'm kind of surprised, TBH. Very few people realize that if you want NASCAR sound, you need a NASCAR exhaust. LOL.
Look up the boom tube that The Craig 909 built on his f100. Might be able to fine tune yours based off his. Just got rid of my '79 F250 w/ a 460. Love the old fords!
Craig909's truck is a built high comp high rpm 302 engine, so to get it to that level will be a little more then just an exhaust but this setup still sounds really really good.
He doesn’t have a boom tube just an x pipe
He's got blackwidow neighbor haters
@@marcusnatschke4426 that f100 he has is just everyone's dream hahaha
man you really cant beat the throatiness and the roar of old fords when you really open them up. Boom tubes is a STELLAR choice in my opinion and looks great on it. Only other thing cooler to me than boom tubes might be some big flapper-cap stacks that start from a honkin resonator below the cab and come up along the seam between the bed and cab. Used to have a 76 F150 with the same setup and that baby looked MEAN when i had to take the bed off.
That whole things sick!!! I 302 swapped my ranger and just left the exhaust open after the muffler but now I know what I GOTTA do, thanks for the idea bro!!
Good shit bro. Drop a video of you ripping it around
This is one of the most American 🇺🇸 videos I’ve ever seen. The only thing missing is a hot country girl, gun, and beer. You got the American Flag, Bass Pro Shop hat, F150, and NASCAR exhaust! Hell yeah brother!
Alright, I’m sold. Gotta make a set for my Truck.
*BOOM TUBE!*
That’s the spirit!
Plenty of exhaust manufacturers produce and sell them. And they're pretty cheap
This video just happened to pop up in my recommended. About 2 minutes into it, I had to subscribe. Awesome job, buddy!! Those look great and sound even better!! Looking forward to checking out your other vids!
Sounds good! I daily an '86 f150 and got a 75/79 f150 that's my "hot rod". Can't get enough of these old fords!
Nice! Can’t go wrong with an old ford
You showed us the pure hackery of building the exhaust and then somehow it looks professional and sounds incredible. I love it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
music to my ears brother
sounds absolutely sick!!
Just recommended this video and this blew me away bro. That sound is HEAVENLY and your editing and video making and humor is of someone who needs 100K subs!!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that.
I like it. It even looks better with the bracing inside. I'm a Ford guy so here is my rundown.... 1964 Fairlane 500 289 4-speed...1978 Mustang ll 302 4-speed....1992 F150 302-auto....1996 F250 PSD auto....1997 Explorer 302-auto...and the wife has a 2019 Edge 2.0 auto. Great video...
Thanks man! Wow, impressive herd
It's awesome that you have a '78 Mustang with a v8 and a 4 speed.
It must be the car in your profile picture.
@@-fuk57 it is ... I bought it in 1983
I live in the south and every truck has Flow Master and it makes the trucks sound like crap. You made the best sounding exhaust for a truck I have ever heard.
I appreciate that, thank you very much. I too have grown out of the flow master tone.
Hey man, killer setup. I've been watching a few others putting boom tubes on their rigs and I'm totally going to do this. Great video. Love the edits. Funny, informative and wicked sound. Oh new sub here.
Thank you! I appreciate that man. Ya, I’m trying to put my spin on it. Got some ideas for the next version.
Nascar gets rid of the boom tube. Nascar fans keep the soundtrack alive by installing them on their own vehicles ❤
Sound of my childhood. That and two stroke dirt bikes
Sounds great.
My fun truck is 94 k1500 6.5 turbo diesel. I got a lot of mods. Sounds great with 4" straight pipe to 5" tip.
6.5!
That truck sounds great. 🤩 You've got me wanting to build one for my F150, just to hear my revvy 3.7 screaming through it. What engine does that F250 have? 390?
Thanks man! I get a lot of comments from people wanting to hear a 4 or 6 cylinder through a boom tube exhaust; maybe I should make that happen. Yes, my truck has a 390. Used to be a 360 tho. Might be a 351 soon…
It looks great and sounds even better!! Great job!
I drive a 2014 BMW 550i with a 4.4L V8. Although I prefer my V8's American, my Bimmer has definitely surprised me with its performance and sound. I have the M Sport package with basically comes with some suspension and drivetrain setup similar to the M5 of its time. For exhaust I went old school and removed just about everything but the cats and went "True dual" from the manifold. Sounds real nice!
Nice, I used to have a 2001 325i wagon. Great cars
The drive-by sound is so bad ass.
That’s a thing of beauty man! Currently working on an improved exhaust setup for my ‘70 Ford Maverick.
Damn this sounds wicked. I daily a 1981 olds 98 regency with an olds 307 boat anchor haha but I may have to change out my exhaust setup to this, dumped in front of the rear tires.
Looks like I’ll have to go back and see what you’ve done to this truck. Sounds great. By the way… 9:22 “I kinda smell something burning” are some of my famous last words 😉. New sub here dude!
Thanks! I appreciate it
Looks killer, I have a side pipe on my grand marquis. Only thing I’d recommend is using a rubber hanger. A solid mount will often break or crank the pipe
That's great man. I'm in an 07 hemi ram with a single straight with both cats. Southwest PA is a bummer with emissions. I lived a little further north my whole life and the emissions weren't an issue. I had straight duals on everything. I'm gonna work on some boom tubes. 👊 Subbed.
Working on a 71 Monte but it’s a restomod 383 stroker and I found your channel looking for nascar style boom tube ideas. Awesome build and nice work taking the curveballs and ROLLING
Awesome! Thank you
this got me thinking what BT v2 would sound like on my '90 cherokee i4L with a 5 speed manual.
Driving 1984 Ford F-150 with 351 Windsor. Ford number one Best trucks ever built.
Solid
I love this! So stoked that I found this channel so early on. You’ve earned a subscriber my friend. I’m from Australia and I’m looking to get my hands on a late bumpside early dentside F100. Keen to see where the F truck goes!
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Sounds super smooth & deep! I'm a mopar guy in the UK with a '76 Dodge D100 with a built 360 LA. Its on a pair of cherry bombs at the moment but I have ordered some stainless - guess what I'll be building!
That’s awesome! Cheers from the states mate!🍻
Love it! I'm trying to figure out how to make my duramax deeper and more throaty. Thinking of a 3½ to 5" megaphone down to a 4¼" out to a 6" tip all mandrel bent stainless. We will see what happens with it!
in a few years ill remember i subbed at 346 subscribers, and smile.
same!
I just subbed today and he is at +600 now. +300 subs in 6 days is great 😮🤩
i have an 86 volvo 740 gle with a non turbo (for now) b230f, i put in a pre cat cutout so i can go quiet in neiborhoods, and im finishing up a coilover swap! ive done sway bars, braces, a cam, an intake, and a few other minor things so far
Sick!
That boom tube must work simular to a pipe on a two stroke. Right around 3800 -4000, your on the pipe. Sounds awsome!!
now I got to build one.
It’s definitely doing something that’s not just a lack of back pressure. The last exhaust I had on the truck was very low back pressure. This one hits around 5500, which is where my single plane intake would hit as well
That booger weld is slick😂
Do you have headers already if not you should get some it sounds nice but it would be amazing if it was deeper
Yes, the truck has headers
I have a 1967 Chevy impala LS swapped with a big cam, built and tuned, it sounds pretty good, curious now what it would sound like with a boom tube.
Nice, 67 was a good year.
I have a 88 firebird with a 350 4 barrel carburetter
Hooker dump exhausted long tube headers
Drag slicks
Adding
Blower
And going for a stroker kit
Also drive a 03 ram with the btr stage 2 cams
Straight pipe dump behind passenger rear door
Boom Tubes are great. And you'll get some added H.P. from them. You'll also attract the cops so be careful where you rev it or drive it fast. What we did is put a cross over tube between the booms right before the angle starts. We made or whole setup out of thick steel & secure it well.(Rubber mounted as well). You'll loose an exhaust system if it's not well secured. Truck's sounding great. Now it needs to be a 4 speed manual. Our Boomers were on a 1968 & 70 Super Bee.
I would love to manual swap this truck, been thinking about that lately. I appreciate the feedback!
@@EvanNolen1989 You are welcome.
Pretty neat result. I need to build an x-pipe to boom tube setup on at least one of my race cars 😂. I run demo derby dirt oval with a 302w swapped rx7 and early stock class asphalt oval with a 300 Ford powered '29 Studebaker.
One day when i get that charger that i want so much, im gonna run an exhaust exactly like this 🔥 sounds so raw
Do it! That would be awesome
I want one on each side of my 07 GT Mustang. Sounds and looks great!
Sounds cool. I have a 79 f100 with a 302 love the sound of those ford engines
Thanks man! Fords do sound good
absolutely subscribing your editing and personality is great lmao. definitely considering doing this to my crown vic because every cheapo exhaust just sounds like a truck
Thank you! I appreciate that. I had a crown Vic years ago. I put black steel Cragars on it and wrapped them in Toyo proxy TQ drag radials. Side dump exhaust because “race car”.
@@EvanNolen1989 sweet!! im hoping a boom tube size exit style exhaust will get rid of that straight piped pickup truck sound. i actually JUST picked up some brand new laguna seca boss 302 wheels from ford performance 🤝
Your neighbors are gonna loooooove you.😂
I have good neighbors
Dang, my ‘67 F-250 Highboy needs a boom tube! It’s slow as hell, but it will sound good.
Do it! What motor?
You got me wanting to redo the exhaust on my 00 Sierra RCSB. Got short tube headers with dual flowmaster super 10s with rear bumper exits. Doesn’t actually sound that great. Been wanting a side exit for a while now and I might just go for it
Do it!
"i almost set my wooden welding table ablaze" totally legit
wow that's a win for sure would look really good on my 66 Chevelle Malibu but I already completed that part of the project hummmm maybe wife's 38 Chevy truck 🤔
This video has no waste, cool!
Sounds insane dude, nice job!
Hell yeah dude. Sounds and looks awesome.
Thanks man, appreciate it.
Cool truck… great video, fun and entertaining. Truck also sounds awesome. My hot rod is a 70 duster. Short bed would be awesome on your truck and you mentioned rowing gears….possibly a 4 speed conversion in the future….3 pedals are better then two!
Thank you, I appreciate that. Dusters are awesome
totally appreciate the humor dude! Got a new sub here!
Thanks! I appreciate that

Busting knuckles for 50+ yrs, nice video!
WOW. Working on almost the same exact truck. Mine is a 1970 f100 explorer. my truck has factory power drum brakes, air conditioner, power steering, and the storage box too. Does your tail have a Alabama dealership? Very nice truck.
Thanks man! My truck is from California.
What engine is in this truck? I have a 68 F100 302 from a 2000 explorer and a 5 speed from an 04 F150 with shorty headers, x pipe and black widow race venoms
It has a 390 and a C6. I’m working on a 351W to swap into it
Idk why but you make me think of the phrase "less psychotic sean strickland" lol
LOL! I take that as a Yuge compliment. Thank you
Dude, it sounds so rad.
It’s my favorite exhaust I’ve built so far.
Great video bro. You kinda look like sean strickland lmao. Dope truck tryna do something like this. Subbed
Thanks! I’ve gotten that a lot lately
Sounds great . Im gonna have to fabricate some for my camry... just to be that guy.
I drive a 1977 Ford LTD Landau, 4 door, with a stock 400m and FMX transmission and a 1999 Dodge 3500 4x4, 24 valve 5.9 Cummins with a 47RE transmission that's out right now. Chasing money to fix both, but I'll get there
Sweet rides. I have a 77 ranchero with the 400
“Chasing money to fix them” bro that’s all too relatable. Same thing with my 1993 Chevy C1500. It’s got a mild roller cam small block with a custom TBI, management by Dynamic EFI, and it’s getting a Muncie HD swapped into it. Just to get it back up in running is gonna be another $2k on top of a ton of my time wrenching on it, and it’s gonna be a minute until I can put cash towards it. To get it where I want it is gonna be another $10k at the very least.
Well that's the most AMERICAN thing I have seen all day ! and it made my day...
Awesome! Thank you!
Love the old Ford trucks have a 71 myself
Video starts good, i can't wait for listen this baby
for some reason i thought boom tubes were like symmetrical side pipes for maximum music dispersion
It looks good and it sounds great! Absolutely a win! 👍
Thanks man!
Add a balance tube as close to manifolds as possible and it will sound better. (Like 2010s nascars). AlsoYif you are flux welding, I recommend the YESWELDER WIRE.
There’s an H pipe in there already. Planning out an X pipe and a dual boom tube setup next. I’ll look up that wire, thanks man.
This is soo bad ass!! If you could find a way to mass produce this design, money could be made!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁😁
Sounds like freedom!💪🏽
Get an X pipe. I promise it'll rock your world
(Mine is a 1976 F250 Super-cab 460 with the X pipe Dual Boom tubes.)
I plan on it
Congrats on 400 subs
I was number 400
Nice! Thank you
This is bad ass man. I really need to learn to weld exhaust pipe.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Exhaust is the best thing to learn how to weld. Go buy a cheap welder and let her rip!
Lol you go hey I smell something burning just as I was firing up a joint😛
Yup, my 45's are coming out and booms going in left and right
Hey dude. What shifter do you have? I’m trying to find one for my truck but don’t know what to get.
B&M mega shifter. I’ve had it for about 10 years and it’s pretty worn out. I daily drove this truck as a contractor so it got a ton of use.
Good video. I built a AAR cuda style exhaust for my 81 Monte sounded awesome built out of scrap pipe aswell lol. I was broke and board.
Interesting. Gotta use what you got
Yoooooooo. Your truck looks like mine. But running better and looking better then mine 🤘🤘🤘🤘
How come this guy doesn't have more subscribers?
I have a 90 f150 5L single cab long bed. I want to take off the fuel injection and put a carburetor on it but somethings fuckey with the fuel pump. My dad has an 89 grand marquis with the same engine. Both beautiful cars.
Nice! You should watch my video about my 1996 suburban, “crank no start”. I thought about ripping the fuel injection off of it many times but I fixed the issue. Cheers!
love the editing, and the fabrication!
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Subbed! That was sick dude. Love it
Appreciate it!
It’s nice to see a long bed. I need to put videos up of mine
sounds pretty good.. ive been wanting to put booms on mt Lemans.. my truck is the cruiser so need to keep it quiet
Nice truck. Had a 1971!
The fly byes literally sound quite the faster you go 😂
It even sweeps the streets! 😂
My ADHD smooth brain is feeling happy with this video
My mission has been fulfilled
I like it, wonder what it would sound like on my Danger Ranger
My brothers 84 dodge d150 sound awsome. I got a sound clip on my channel but i had a xpipe from a Corvette ZR1 laying around our shop so we put it on the dodge. i dont know what we might do with it now a nascar boom tube or dual 3in chrome tips out the Passenger side
Nice! Painting it flat black will render another 74.3 horsepower.
Hell yeah!!!! Built not bought.
Sounds sick man! Love the look of it too.
Hey just found your channel and liked and subscribed.
Nice job on the boom tube.
I love old Ford trucks my first truck was and still is a 1970 Ford F100 Short bed with a 390 big block and c6 transmission.
Last time she was going down the road was Dec. 31, 1998 but I do want to get her back on the road.
My other truck is a 1996 Dodge one ton dolly 4 ×4 with a 5.9 Cummins and a 5 speed reg cab and it is sitting on the side of the driveway been there for a while now but that truck has over 700,000 miles on it.
Amazing that you have your first truck! You have to get that thing back on the road.
Somebody's been to the school of Robbie Layton's Slap Tutorial University.......
I like the look and sound of it. very cool.
