Had two pairs of the 305 45 17 and had to return them. Wouldn't balance no matter what method I tried, dynamic, bubble balance and even bead balancing. Every time I balanced them differently the vibration would change to a different speed. M/T even admitted they were having issues with them.
That's odd I use beads on all my truck tires without an issue, did they send you other sets to make it right... just wondering because I want 4 of these on my truck next year
@@petek6522 the replacement set was worse than the original set. They refunded me and I got a pair of ET Street SS from Summit Racing and they are smooth all the way to 145 so far.
Not really 305s probably are the better tire for most people but the 315s are just a little more consistent & just look so good tucked under these boats
Once I got to 950whp, the 315 50 17 lost it's luster. I ended up with 29.5x10.5x17 Hoosier DBR. Dead hooks 50-60mph even in cold weather. Ran a 4.73 60-130 vs a best of a 4.96 with the R's having to pedal it. Installs on a beadlock a lot easier than the R as well, just slips on with a little palm pressure. Also 6lbs less rotational weight per tire. Only downside is it's not DOT legal. The DR2 sucks unfortunately and I think that's their DOT legal tire you probably used
Can you shoot me a link to those specific hoosiers?....mine were also the drag bracket radial and they were just a nightmare for me. I was 925whp and the Rs never did me wrong or tried to kill me like the hoosier
@@Lowe376slow man, tried sending you a link twice but comments keep getting removed.. I can't imagine not hooking with these. Can't help but think you got a bad set or something.
@@Lowe376slow makes sense I know. I saw you had the 315/50/17 on your narrow body. Was trying to see if you thought you could fit that extra inch height since they’re the same width
@@Lowe376slow oh ok I always saw widebodes go with 17x10 drag wheels and was confused by this because our standard wheels are 20x11 the demon and super stock are 18x11 so 17x11 made more sense to me
If you plan on keeping it stock the 3.09 is worth it to some however if you plan on making big power I've seen some tuners recommend the 2.62 over the 3.09
What is a good PSI to run for street racing????
I keep mine around 20
❤ I just got my 305/45/18 for my widebody
Great review
Do this wheels vibrate on the free way?
Not if installed & balanced properly

15s!?!? Yeah you definitely need the mickeys if you makin that kinda power
Great video mate. Did you notice a significant difference going from 305/45 to 315/50's?

What’s the offset size on those rims ?? Looking into getting some for my widbody
These are +0 for widebodys

Are you running a wheel spacer in the rear? I have the same wheels for my wbhc and mine seem to tuck a bit.
No sir, you may have the narrow body offset just check the offset on the back on the wheel face if it's 0 you're good
You don’t think s narrow body can fit a 315/55/17?
Im sure they could but thats ALOT of hammering & cutting
@@Lowe376slow 1 inch spacer?
@deadstockffp a spacer that big for drag racing sounds like a recipe for trouble...ive never run one so i can't say for sure

For the forgestars is the offset 0?
Yessir
hey man hope ur having a good day what app or application you use to edit your videos
I use powerdirector and do everything on my phone.....been the most user friendly for me so ive stuck with it
For the drag wheel on the widebody should I go 17x11?
Up to you, went with the 17x10 bcuz the 17x11s were welds and almost double the price

Are you going to install the headers you had on the white scatpack on the redeye?
Im not sure yet, i would like to try another brand simply because the ARH were so expensive
Can u drive on the street with those ETs?
Yes they are a DOT compliant radial
hey bro, I want to get the 315/50/17 on the 2023 jailbreak (717Hp). Do you have 3.09 gears and do you think its needed.

@R M yeap i still have the 2.62 in my car and it's just fine for me
