Well the tire shopping is finally done. Settled on some Mickey Thompson ET Street R in a 305/45/17 with some gloss black Race Star wheels in a 17x10. Found a great used set from another RUclipsr through his Instagram story. Same tires and wheels I was getting ready to buy brand new. Got super lucky on timing and Zander13 gave me a great deal. We'll get to check out his twin turbo 2019 5.0 a bit as well.

10.5 minutes of zanders face, 30 seconds of wheel content. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hell yeah, now we get to see some real numbers. Can hardly wait. 👍
Jude Edouard Yes sir! That’s the plan 💪
Ditto. Those tires are going to make a big difference
They will look awesome on your car as well. Always a good thing to catch a deal
Canadian Cruisin Yeah timing was great. Thanks!
I just bought some chrome wheels for my Mustang and I cannot believe how little selection there is in regular chrome. Everything's black now.
Nice setup.. I can make a suggestion on how to get out of the rain move to Arizona. Just kidding it's really hot here and your car runs half a second slower.🙂
dzgtnbz 🤣👍

You eliminated your traction problems with those tires at the drag strip. The only thing is if you get caught in the rain with those tires, make sure you have an extra pair of shorts. There is very little difference between Mickey Thompson ET Street Rs and a slick in the rain. When it comes to tire changes, will you be doing them at the drag strip? When you make your first passes, will you be going to Beechbend or the 1/8 mile drag strip closer to your house?
Hu 3.7 Definitely changed at the track each time. Even though these are DOT approved I don’t trust them 1 bit in the rain and the compound is so soft I can’t imagine they’ll last long if I street drive them too. I’m hoping first trip out will be Beechbend but that will come down to timing. I’ve got a bunch of suspension goodies lined up. Will depend on when they arrive and when I can install them. Hoping for ASAP though because I want to get some 1/4 runs in while the weather is still cool.
@@Doomsday410 i run mine on my gt500 (same size) full time on the street and I Beat on them too ive got about 6500-7k miles on them right now they are about shot but they still hook pretty good on rolls in 2nd they dead hook I am 550 whp bolt on 07 with 4.10 gears so they are being tested lol. I don't recommend them in rain this isn't my daily I don't drive in rain but I have driven it in rain being caught out in it I also dailied the car for 2 months while my daily was in the shop. I didn't have any issues it can be done I don't recommend it you have to drop speed so much in order to be what I consider "safe" its not something you wanna be doing often lol.
Yeah l gotta hemi, but mine is the 6.1 in my challenger SRT8 though lol. Wow what are the chances, I just stopped by to check out the tires and am getting ready to purchase drag radials & racing wheels for the beast. Was looking at racingwheels. com, but customer service seems to suck and left two voicemails with no return calls. I was also looking at Jegs and think that I will just go with them because they are excellent at communicating, and the prices are comparable. Think that I'm also going to go forgestars front and back with Mickey Thompson 315x50x17s, so they'll be nice n fat and should finally be able to hook. The stang sounds good, what does she have for an exhaust ?
Nice rims good luck at the track with the new meat's.
Thanks man!
Are those 305 45r 17 in rear and 285s 19s in front?
Need them for a widebody kit lol
Cut the crap, head to the drag strip right now 😂😂 no wheel hop please
Scott Mijin Haha I wish! 😆
Are these patchable in case of a flat?
Did you pay north or south of 1000?
About time you got a drag pack bro ! Now time for some bias plys
Determined Veteran 🤘🤘🤘
What size?
Can you daily drive these tires ?
Andres Vera They’re super soft compound so you’d wear the tread out fast. Additionally you wouldn’t want to get caught in the rain with these tires ever. I’d only run them at the strip or to grudge race out in Mexico.
Doomsday410 thanks boss preciate it
15x10 are meats not 17x10
