Korvold is my favorite from the brawl precons! I just love the value that he provides and how he can break the symmetry of stax pieces like Destructive Flow
@@James-uz9se I think that adding 40 cards to the brawl deck would be fine for beginners or if you're trying out a new archetype and don't have all of the staples for that play style. But that's generally true for most precons
Mauro Smid Command Zone specifically did this, actually (with at least a bit of a budget in mind, even). From what I’ve heard, the Brawl precons are genuinely good enough that just doing a 40-card upgrade works well enough
Kate That would be great since I am a new player and I’d love to play with the most recent cards mostly. I’ve seen all the upgrading episodes, and I will follow the upgrade video’s for all 4 of the decks that I’ll be purchasing. Maybe slightly change the older cards for similar newer cards. And by the way; how often do you think they will release brawl decks?
Mauro Smid It depends on how well the Brawl decks do (and probably to some extent how well Brawl does as a format). It could range anywhere from some number of precons every Standard set to never seeing them in any form ever again, though based on what I’ve heard thus far I don’t think they’re failing *that* badly. At most severe maybe they get reworked as an additional, smaller Commander product (because a considerable amount of interest has come from people intending to use them for Commander). Personally, my bet’s on Brawl precons either being annual (with ~4 decks released shortly after Standard/Brawl rotation) or more frequent (but still only a handful a year), assuming they ultimately stick the landing
Fun infinite loop with korvold. Ashnods + animation module +korvold. This will net you infinate colorless, 1/1servos, draws and +1+1 counters on korvold. You can also stop the draws by sacking korvold and replacing him with woodland champion. Then torment of hailfire for x=infinity

if I may ask Mitch, when you do some of your segments with the reasonable upgrades. Would you explain some of your reasoning as to why you would remove that specific card and replace it with the one you chose? I'm kinda new to building decks would like to gain some insight for what to look at and decide when going for upgrades! Thank you for making these fun decks Mitch!
Usually the upgrades do the same thing but at a cheaper mana cost or are just more efficient in another way. Sometimes they just help the deck become even more focused. In this deck Ashnod's Altar is an obvious upgrade because it lets you sac creatures and gives you 2 mana. Dictate of Erebos is better than Butcher of Malikir because it's the same effect but with flash,it's an enchantment which is harder to remove, and it has a lower mana cost.
Just had my first game night with the upgraded version of this deck...it's by far my favorite deck and it wiped all at the table with ease even with my piloting mistakes....great work!!!! Thanks alot!!!
Dont forget Innocent Blood for a cheap everyone sacs a creature effect and perhaps Vona's Hunger combined with Mayhem Devil late game can be devastating. I added Mycoloth to my build, if Endrek Sahr is in play this becomes ridiculous. You get to draw create 5 thrulls, ac them, draw 5 cards and spawn a ton of saproling fodder each turn. I'm happy to see that my build is very close to yours, your deck building prowess is starting to rub off on me. Great video as always, keep up the good work.
It's a bit specific, but whenever I have access to non-creature sacrificing, there are three cards I like to keep in mind. Servo Schematic, Ichor Wellspring, and Mycosynth Wellspring. All cheap 2 drop artifacts that do something when they enter and leave the battlefield. Make a servo token, draw a card, and search a basic land.
Thank you sooo much, korvold is basically my favourtie card in the game and i've been desperatly searching for a budget deckt tech for my lil human eating dragon
Just a bit of a warning for anyone playing this deck, I tried it online and this deck has one glaring issue: far too little removal. I would recommend adding some removal or any sort of interaction into the deck. Also no boardwipes. So quite lackluster when it comes to interaction.
I agree. My Korvold deck before had like 10 removal spells (spot and mass). It was really hard to battle Korvold because of that. He was growing big and he will just Murder any bigger creature.
@@felipeattux9616 I broke that deck down when I had cards that are synergystic with the aristocrats theme for Korvold. I have fewer instants and sorceries for removal now. If you want, I could link you to my new decklist for Korvold which is more or less similar to Mitch's.
I think Mycosynth Wellspring can be an approximation of Bauble if you can only run 1, and it's only 10 cents. Sure, it doesnt ramp you, but it does get 2 basics and a card.

I love it, thank you. I'm going to trade out a couple of those to throw in two of my favorites: Mazirek and Death's Presence. I really like +1/+1 counters and those two together (now) probably add around $7. Mazirek is insanely cheap now (~$0.89) for the amount of permanents both me and my opponents will be sacrificing, we'll be making our creatures huge, then when we sac them, Death's Presence will copy those creatures' power totals onto whatever creature we want. This video really helped me out a lot!

I bought the brawl deck and added a few cards of my own to make it a commander deck. One of my favorite additions has been Krav, the Unredeemed he has created some insane value as a sac outlet and source of card draw.
I'm loving all of this! just a quick edit the myriad landscape gets two basics of the SAME type, not different. it really changes nothing but wanted to let you know. Keep up the good work!
Awaken the Erstwhile could be terrifying with Korvold and a sacrifice outlet. Make everyone discard their hands, then refill yours by sacrificing the zombies you make from doing so. Or if your hand was big enough it could even be a win condition. It's worth testing at least.
Captain's Claws, Sigiled Sword of Valerion, and Moonsilver Spear would be interesting includes here. Equip them to Korvold and you get something for him to sac every time he attacks if you have nothing else you feel like you can part with.
Another couple cards that would give you a kind of cheap infinite colorless mana? Animation Module, ashnods altar, and fae cursed king.
