I Grew up with WWF Attitude. I've never played Smackdown but would like to play it one day. Such an impressive roster comparison! ;)

The Hardy Boyz were kind of in WWF Attitude because they did the Motion Capture for the wrestling moves in game, iirc.

I think a lot of people have forgotten how good the faces are on Attitude, some are a lot better than Smackdown

The wrestler's faces were digitally scanned for Attitude. Although to me, they looked like a rubber masks on a mannequin head, lol.

I've got an nostalgic and ambitious idea for a WWE Video game: WWE: Federated Past. Inspired by the Attitude-era games (War Zone, Attitude, WrestleMania 2000, Smackdown, No Mercy, Smackdown 2: Know Your Role and WWE '13), Federated Past takes you back in the days when WWE used to be called WWF (World Wrestling Federation) before that Panda Company. The game engine will be a hybrid of No Mercy and WWE 13. The roster will be the entire roster of the superstars from the Attitude-era, especially the underrated ones (Droz, The Headbangers Mosh and Thrasher, Mideon, Viscera and many others). Plus, The music of each wrestler theme song will be pitched up to 0.2 just like in WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy. Based on the Attitude-Era showcase in WWE '13, The Showcase will include the iconic stories from the Attitude Era (The Austin Vs. McMahon Rivalry, Mankind vs The Great One, The Ministry Of Darkness and Off-scripts). Interestingly, Everytime you complete the objectives of each showcase, you'll unlock: Arenas, superstars and alternate attires.
What do you think of this concept? Let me know down in the reply section below.

Im surprised Owen wasnt removed from the game unless it was too late

I owned both, and loved Smackdown the most; the only thing I'll give Attitude credit for is the goofy-ass "original" music it had... like "Let's Legislate". XD

Definitely some odd roster decisions here. Test and Taka in one but not the other, like why lol?

    • @ChristienBizzle

      Test- Just debuted during development.
Taka Michinoku- I guess he wasn't a big enough star to be in Smackdown.

@@ChristienBizzle IIRC Compared to his earlier days in the WWF when he was the Light Heavyweight Champion and then his Heel Kai-En-Tai era (the time frame Attitude represents) Taka didn't really appear too often in the first 2/3 of 1999 which made him unlikely for the Smackdown! on PSX roster. He starts to appear more often in 2000 so he and Funaki made the cut for SD!2 KYR.

Attitude looks much better. Smackdown is obviously better gameplay wise.
